View Full Details of Abbeycliffe Care HomeI have visited my friend in Abbeycliffe Care Home three times now and I haven't seen her looking so well and happy for quite some time. She tells me she really likes life here and wants to stay. Also, she really enjoys the food and says the staff are very friendly and helpful which is also my experience of them. I have known my friend since we were at school and she has experienced many ups and downs in life and I am so pleased that she has come to a place where she can relax and enjoy life again. It is lovely to see her like this.
My mum and dad are both in Abbeycliffe Care Home. My dad has been in the home 3 years and Mum 2 years. They are both happy in Abbeycliffe they feel safe and well looked after. We always feel welcome when we visit as a family. If there is a problem we are told straight away. The home is always clean and tidy. The meals are always home-cooked and well-presented.
Since my mother-in-law joined the Abbeycliffe family in mid-October 2024 we are absolutely delighted at how she has settled. She has a much better quality of life now and all the care and attention she needs. The staff are wonderful. They provide excellent care and it's clear to see they really do care about the residents. The rooms, lounge, dining area etc are clean and very well kept. Entertainment and activities are provided regularly.
My 89-year-old friend was admitted to Abbeycliffe on 2nd August 2024, I was told by social services and paramedics that she needed residential care as a matter of urgency as her Dementia was causing safeguarding issues. I had to choose somewhere very quickly for her, it wasn't hard because as soon as I stepped inside Abbeycliffe I felt the care. A beautiful happy atmosphere was very present, a lovely bright place full of smiling staff, all happy to answer questions. My dear friend has only me, and it is a great responsibility and worry to place someone in care however necessary it becomes, and I can honestly say the support from the management and staff, particularly comes to mind as being extremely kind and understanding not only with my friend but with me too. They are helping and encouraging her to settle in gently and kindly I visit very often with my dog as my friend loves her, and it is never the wrong time to visit Thank you Abbeycliffe.
My mum was admitted on 10th June 2024. It is a very traumatic experience for families, but the manager and the staff have made it very easy for me. The chef has been very accommodating by checking on her food requirements because she has a fractured jaw. Nothing has been too much trouble. We visit on a regular basis, and the atmosphere is always comfortable. The manager has a fantastic personality - perfectly suited for the role.
My mum has been in Abbeycliffe for a month. The staff have been great in helping Mum settle into her new home. They have treated Mum with respect and care. Mum also enjoys the meals; she said they are good quality. I am very happy Mum has found a good home and she is safe.
My mother became a resident of Abbeycliffe Care Home in August 2023. The staff helped her settle in and feel at home. I like the fact there is a resident welcomer to help new residents to settle in. I have been pleased with the cleanliness of the home and the catering services. Friendly staff and good care. Great hairdressing service and entertainment provided and a lovely outdoor area too. Very happy and recommend it!
I would like to say a big thank you to all of the staff for taking care of my mum. She is happy and content here. She really enjoys the food and is always saying what a lovely breakfast, dinner and tea she has. She looks forward to having her hair done every Wednesday morning, and it always looks nice. Staff always have a smile on their face and are very helpful. I am very satisfied with all her care. I would recommend this home to everyone. Very happy that Mum is happy.
Both my parents are residents and I am highly impressed with their care and treatment at Abbeycliffe. They are both very happy.
It is a very friendly home to visit we like it very much.
I visited my mum today at Abbeycliffe Care Home I left feeling very relieved and happy. I cared for my mum for over ten years prior to her admission. Life became very difficult I was caring for my preschool grandchildren as well as waiting for my daughter's open heart surgery. To know that Mum is being so well looked after is wonderful she is full of praise for the staff and her own room with toilet which was important to her. I can get on with my life knowing she is so content and cared for. I cannot thank the staff enough.
The care home gave us a warm welcome when we enquired about Mum. She is settled, well cared for, safe and calm. This was not the case at her previous home. The interior is warm and inviting, and the garden area is fully accessible. The staff are caring, approachable and know the residents well. Activities are varied and cater for all. The bedrooms are a good size and nicely furnished.
Very good care team, always very helpful and professional, while also being in touch with humour. My can rest with peace of mind that mum is being cared for and with great respect. This care home caters for everything and is absolutely spotless and clean.
My mum came into Abbeycliffe Care Home at the beginning of May as she was lonely and depressed at home and her dementia was making her confused and agitated. In just a few short weeks we have seen such a transformation. She is happy, engaging, and looking so much healthier. This is down to all the staff at Abbeycliffe. What a wonderful home!
My mother-in-law has been a resident since the 23rd of April. The care she has had is amazing. Unfortunately for mum she’s been in and out of hospital so not been out of isolation yet, no fault of Abbeycliffe’s staff, mum has been looked after as if she was their own mum. Thanks so much.
This care home provides quality care and treats residents and their families as family members and friends. This is a caring, respectful and safe environment and my first choice for my relative. Staff listen as well as talk and treat everyone with dignity patience and respect. They have facilitated visits excellently.
Since my mum went into Abbeycliffe at the end of Nov 2020 we've not been able to go into the home but we've had a good insight into the home. Photos, feedback from a family member, viewings through windows and great feedback from managers/staff on all my mum's needs. My mum has really come on and made great connections.
Staff friendly, caring and helpful. Mother looks well looked after and attended to. Being unable to visit due to restrictions, I have not seen what the home is like inside. Phone updates are very helpful and all seems to be well.
Abbeycliffe stood out from all the care homes we visited in the area from the initial greeting to the wonderful ethos we felt as we toured the home. Initial meetings filled us up with reassurance and most importantly of all that mum mattered. Her arrival and transition were seamless and made her feel safe and welcome. Over the first few days, the staff spent quality time getting to know mum, gently settling her in. I was also given much-appreciated support.
It was a very big decision to put my aunt into a care home as she needed 24/7 care. I did a lot of research, and am so pleased with the choice we made. Abbeycliffe offers a safe, caring environment for my aunt. Which in turn makes our life easier knowing that she is in a place that caters to her needs with excellent staff and management who do a wonderful job.
