View Full Details of Himley Manor Care HomeVery busy care home, always full, sometimes carers slow to meet patients' needs (ie, toilet and time to chat). Room pretty basic for patients, call it an ensuite but no shower in there.
Himley Manor Care Home has a warm and caring atmosphere. My mom is cared for very well and is happy. Staff are brilliant and very attentive, they do their best for all the residents. I am happy with the activities offered to my mom. I always feel comfortable when I leave my mom because I know she is receiving excellent care.
My experience with Himley Manor was very pleasant. The staff and management I could not fault. My brother was looked after with the utmost care. I would recommend Himley Manor Care Home to anyone who needs care for any of their family.
Very happy with how the home is fun. Always a friendly welcome when we visit. No unpleasant smells! The staff are friendly and police. The home is kept lovely and clean. Mom's room is well-kept. Staff are attentive to Mom's care needs and we have no issues with the care and support she receives. If we have any concerns/issues there is always a staff member to speak with and our concerns are normally dealt with promptly. Overall Himley Manor is a good home with good staff.
Mom was a resident of Mimley Manor for 12 months prior to her unexpected death in April. As a retired nurse, I found the staff to be very professional. All of them treated Mom with compassion and kindness. She was very happy living there. Having to ring me in the middle of the night to inform me of Mom's passing could not have been. Easy for the staff, but they were so kind.
Warm, friendly so kind to my lovely Mom and also to myself, sympathetic to my Mom's needs and myself. Making sure they do their utmost to give Mom her needs as she's frightened and gets worried, they make sure she's happy by doing their best to do what helps my lovely Mom and myself. Thank you so much to a wonderful team who all want the best for patients.
My mom was a resident throughout March. The care she received was very good. Mom can be very difficult at times and I admire the patience that the staff had with her. Overall, all the staff were very attentive and understanding throughout my mom's stay.
Very friendly and helpful staff, willing to answer any questions. Very happy with the care provided and cleanliness.
The staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is ever too much trouble. The Christmas part was not up to standard to be fair - sorry. Have no other issues and am very happy with the care standards given.
My father is at end-of-life so it's been very upsetting but the staff have been great. He is still being looked after and they are making him as comfy as possible in his final days.
We have found Himley Manor Care Home to be a very friendly and helpful care home, having recently needed to introduce our uncle into their hands. All staff are professional, friendly and treat all residents with respect and dignity. I would recommend this care home.
Although staff were (and always are) very busy, they helped us surprise Mum on her birthday by letting our family gather in a room and bringing Mum in to us. Everywhere is always clean. The staff always seem fond of all the residents, showing them care and consideration. Mum feels that the staff are her friends, she calls them her friends. The carers are very professional from carers, office staff, domestics, laundry and kitchen staff - all have been welcoming and friendly which is what we wanted for Mum.
A welcoming environment with courteous staff. Sensitive to individuals needs. The laundry service is excellent. Always ensures resident has what is requested where possible. Supportive towards service user.
I came to Himley Manor with many problems but have found this care home to be the right place for me where I have been mentally, spiritually, and physically restored and renewed. The staff in particular have shown much care and concern for my wellbeing and care. The coordinator leads a most efficient team. I have gone home and have appreciated the freedom and ease which has been afforded me. I shall certainly recommend this home to other needy people.
Overall the home is a lovely place, very clean. All carers are great with Mum. I would recommend it to anyone.
All the carers are so nice and lovely to the elderly people in the home. They are always helpful when you ask them a question or if you need anything. They will go out of their way to help you. My mom says they are so nice to her, which puts my mind to rest that she is being well looked after. I will always recommend the home to people. Thanks.
Mom came to Himley Manor Care Home in January 2023 from the hospital needing 24hr care for advanced dementia and heart failure. The home is modern, light and spacious. Staff and management are friendly, helpful and have accommodated Mom's needs. They have changed especially with her diet, and food is cooked fresh on-site. I am happy with the care Mom is receiving, having her hair and feet done and especially how the staff acted when Mom became very unwell. She loves the entertainment days and seems happy. Bedroom furniture is a little dated but fit for purpose, containing everything needed. I was able to take in a few soft furnishings to make Mom's room a little more homely. I was impressed that all the clothes taken on admittance are laundered by the home. It is clean, tidy and well equipped. The gardens are lovely. It would be nice to see a few sensory plants/lights to encourage partially sighted residents and those with dementia to enjoy being outside.
My mum came to Himley Manor Care Home on the second of February 2023 from hospital. She fitted in nicely and was happy and improved in herself since then. She is in hospital at present and hope she can return. The home is modern, light, spacious. It is a purpose-built care home which I like because it is built for their needs with spacious corridors for wheelchairs and also for them to walk around if they can. Staff are very friendly and willing to help both residents and family. I have always been offered a cup of tea and cake if they are being served. I have only witnessed cakes not been around for meals. However, I am told my mum eats very well. Activities again I have not really seen(apart from singing which is good). However, I have spoken many times to the activities staff member, who is a very nice lady. They also have a good-sized garden to enjoy, however joining the home in February have not seen it at its best. All in all, I would definitely recommend.
My grandma spent seven months at Himley Manor Care Home and I could not say a bad word about the home. The staff were excellent and the standard of care was very good. My grandma was happy throughout her time there and I couldn't have asked for anything more. We are so grateful to everybody who looked after and cared for her.
There seems to be an acceptance that my mother should stay in her bed (Christmas 2022). Why can't she be encouraged to get out of bed and be able to walk a little? Surely a little exercise to would be helpful to her well-being. This week we were told that we would have to pay £15 to have her toenails cut. We have refused to pay this as I cut her toes nails!
