View Full Details of Windsor Street Care CentreMy dad came into Windsor Street as he was to thriving at home. He was here to be assessed initially, he would not interact. Six weeks later, he is eating, drinking, and interacting with residents and staff. He has felt safe and been extremely well looked after throughout his time. All the staff are amazing, respectful to my dad. I can't thank them enough.
Dad arrived from hospital following a nasty fall. His mobility and mental capacity had been badly affected. His admission was sympathetic and all the staff have been extremely understanding and caring. He has received help to improve his mobility and cognitive skills. The room is always clean and tidy, and his clothes are changed as often as required. Very impressed with everything.
Mum stayed with you at Windsor Street for a month and kept telling me that everyone is lovely! (carers) Some of the residents were a bit trying... but she will be going home for a trial period. I have found the staff to be brilliant! Very helpful and talkative when greeted and give good information on mums daily progress and activities.
The carers are always very happy and look after everyone very well.
My father moved in to Windsor Street Care Centre with my stepmother in 2020, which was a difficult time for everyone but from the first day the staff took time and trouble to help them settle. Dad had Alzheimer's and received really outstanding care throughout his illness. He used to say it was like staying in a hotel but with people there all the time to look after him. I also saw my step mums health and wellbeing improve as the staff helped her so sensitively to let go of the need to care for Dad herself. Perhaps most importantly the end of Dad's journey was also a very special time. The staff worked hard to make sure he was well cared for right up to the end and the communication with the rest of the family was sensitive and timely. He was content to the end and had a peaceful passing. We had his wake at Windsor Street too, which was another very special occasion for all of us, with very personal support from the whole team at Windsor St. Thanks to everyone for all of this.
Mum was transferred from hospital and all the staff particularly the deputy manager were helpful, caring, responsive and attentive to my mother's needs. Thank you.
My 94-year-old Mum moved into Hampton in 2023 and from the very first day to the present, the staff have made Mum feel so welcome and loved - I live in Sydney and this is my 2nd visit - and the entire time I've been here I've only seen 100% dedication and care from the staff. They are like family - professional, thorough and loving. When I leave to return to Australia my heart is full - Mum has improved in her health with being stimulated with activities and interacting with carers and residents. Thank you so much.
A first-class home that cares for its residents, has been consistent in its care for the past two years, nursing our loved one through Covid twice and bringing them back to good health. Couldn't ask for more.
I was an assessment resident and now I am joining the Knit and Natter group of activities while visiting some friends.
When I came here I was very unwell. I went in the wheelchair because the lift was broken so I couldn't use the stretcher from the ambulance. I've been in bed for a month. I spent one day in bed and then I recovered. Now I feel much better. I am able to join in the dining room for lunch and join in activities, especially in arts as it is important to me.
Just here for a month. Very impressed, especially by the staff, who were welcoming, anxious to see that all was well and would go out of their way to be of assistance. A memorable experience. Rooms satisfactory, food fine enough, perhaps becoming a little boring - no fresh fish? But will only come back if I win the lottery!
The nicest most friendly care home I've visited. All the staff are extremely efficient and kind. Nothing is for show as I visit at different times and on different days. Residents are very well cared for and where possible, every effort is made to keep them stimulated and happy. There are plenty of events to celebrate the seasons of the year. The food is great too!
I can't thank the staff enough for the care and support that they gave my nan, nothing was too much trouble. All the staff on Balmoral were amazing but three nurses in particular went out of their way to make me feel at ease and kept me updated on her progress.
Everyone helped mum above and beyond. I really could not be happier and also so grateful. Thank you.
We were nervous about our relative entering a care facility as it was unknown to us and there was the need for palliative care. We were soon put at ease by management and staff. Over the time we spent there, we witnessed the staff go above and beyond for all their residents and the level of care and friendliness was amazing. Thank you to all.
This is the second care home my dad has been in. After the move, it took time for him to fully settle but now 3 and a half months later, he is well at home there. The staff are truly wonderful with him. We have had issues as he's 88 with Alzheimer's, but I have worked with them and have ironed them out. Amendable caring staff, my dad is happy in his own little world there. Management are superb.
A welcoming smile from the care centre receptionist, put one at ease. Staff treat the residents with the utmost care and respect, attending dutifully and affectionately to residents' needs. Another strength is the activities team, devoted to involving all residents who want to participate irrespective of age and ability. Activities are carefully arranged and highly beneficial. High standard of order and cleanliness observed at each visit.
Have returned after many years as a carer. Nice to volunteer in such a welcoming establishment with wonderful people.
My mum was moved here for assessment. She has been treated with the utmost patience and respect since being there, as have I, by carers and management. I have seen Mum every day since her accident in February, not wanting to leave her, however, I had my first day out yesterday without visiting her as I knew she was being looked after and don’t get as upset when I leave her.
Very comfortable, caring staff - even when extra busy. Excellent food, clean and tidy. Medical care as required and quickly.
