The staff are excellent, and were very kind and helpful when I was going through the trauma of my wife having to go into care. She has settled well in a caring atmosphere.

Came for Valentine day lunch. Everything was great 100% all round Staff were great with my wife.

Came for valentines day meal with my wife who is a resident. It was excelent. The staff were great, as usual. My wife is really well cared for.

This home has such a priority for the residents living here. What a wonderful Valentine lunch - 3 courses, live lovely music, room beautifully decorated - very romantic. My husband was asleep at the start - but carer looked after him and fed him when he awoke. So much love put into this. Overall this home is AMAZING!!

A great effort by staff to make life as enjoyable as it can be. Especially on occasions such as today - Valentines Day.

I have received nothing but efficiency and excellent service from this establishment and feel very confident that my mother is in very safe hands. As I have poor health myself, I have been unable to visit Mum in recent months so this is vital to my peace of mind.

The care staff are exceptionally kind, caring and always put the residents' needs above all. This is not just a care home, this is the residents' home. My mother has always been treated with the utmost respect and understanding in sometimes difficult circumstances. So glad we chose this wonderful place for my mother to live.

My mum spent the last 11 months here before she passed away recently. She had dementia but was always treated with kindness, respect and love from all the staff. If there were ever any issues, they were dealt with promptly and efficiently, I always felt listened to and all the team from reception, nurses, carers, activity team and management gave a professional, kind and empathetic care for mum and us, I can't recommend them enough, thank you.

The Orchid Care Home is a very good place. It is very well run from the senior management all the way to the laundry and cleaning staff. They all really care about my sister's health and wellbeing. They listen to any concerns and will give back and keep family members updated when the need arises. The activities provided are great, including trips out, and where possible my sister can choose to take part in as many activities as she wants to. When it was her birthday she was surprised by a huge cake. Several members of staff sang and made her feel very special. It was joyous, and my sister felt very special. I, in turn, can feel confident that when I leave after a visit, my sister will continue to smile and be happy in the place she now considers her home.

Orchid Care Home has looked after my mother for over three years and has been outstanding in all areas over that time. The facilities, cleanliness, care for the residents and most especially the staff, who I can't speak highly enough of, are all wonderful. The approach taken by the management is to care for the whole family, not just the residents. They understand what you as relatives are going through, especially at the really difficult times and help you deal with any traumas. My mother is in excellent hands, and I am very grateful for their support.

Clean, safe, fabulous, and professional, and the staff was friendly. Really make an effort with special occasions. Really try and make it a home for residents. Encouraged my dad to join in. Take steps to safeguard residents when risks are identified.

This is regarding the acceptance of my Mum, first class service in all areas, and compassion shown to her following the recent passing of her husband. A new chapter of her life at the great age of 90 years, where she can interact with all people and with people with the same capacity as herself, to be looked after and enjoy her time ahead.

The care home and staff are incredible. The effort and the ideas over the Christmas period was excellent. The activities and the festive food had so much thought. The decorations around the home were beautiful too.

My experience of the care at Orchid Care Home has been very positive. My friend came into the home on the 30th December 2024 and has been well cared for since his arrival. He particularly appreciates the nursing staff and the attention that he has been given. He has been able to join in some of the activities that are put on and he has found friends amongst the other residents too. I always feel my concerns are listened to and responded to. The home has a lovely friendly atmosphere and people go out of their way to be kind and helpful.

My brothers and I couldn't be happier with Orchid Care Home. Mum has been there for over 2 years now, and even though her dementia has become more acute lately, she remains happy and content. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and you never get the feeling anything is too much trouble. I have already recommended the home to others and will continue to do so.

Mum is well cared for. The carers are friendly, gentle and treat Mum with respect, always knocking or calling out before entering her room. They always engage with mum and family when they visit. There are activities nearly every day and parties celebrating many occasions. The home is well-maintained and always clean. Visitors are made welcome.

This establishment has relieved our whole family of the worries we've previously experienced in care homes for my mother in the closing years of her life. Unfortunately, Covid robbed us of any choices we should have had and my Mothers's condition worsened during that time. We now have the confidence and reassurance gained by being at Orchid to allow us relief from the fear and worry of her care.

We have received a very warm welcome from Orchid. The staff are all attentive and friendly, and there is a lovely atmosphere in the home. There are plenty of activities for anyone wishing to attend them and I will look forward to visiting. Thank you to everyone at Orchid.

The level of care and dedication of the staff cannot be faulted. Nothing appears to be to much for them to do. The food is always top score and the cleanliness of the home as a whole is excellent. When ever you visit a relative, you are always made to feel welcome and a drink is always offered.

Dad spent the last three months of his life in the care of Orchid Care Home. It was so reassuring for the family to know that he was in such a safe and caring environment, with the most wonderful staff and nurses looking after him.
