View Full Details of Bridgedale HousePleased with the care and attention Mum has received. On the odd occasion when we needed extra help we were listened to and action taken very quickly to obtain a satisfactory outcome. They are as supportive of me, as they are mum, and explain everything to me.
Bridgedale House is a very special place. Each resident is treated as a unique person, loved, respected and cared for by every member of staff. The home is full of smiles and happy laughter and Mum settled in well. Friends and relatives are welcomed and supported 24/7 and are treated as part of the wider Bridgedale family. Standards are exceptionally high and the ethos of kindness and care, which is immediately obvious on entering the home, comes directly from the managers, who are friendly, approachable and responsive. Rooms are nicely decorated and furnished; the food is excellent and the programme of activities, which changes monthly, is amazing, providing fun, stimulation, exercise and lots of treats. There is a lovely garden which the residents can enjoy on nice days; visits to local parks and museums are also arranged. Communication with families is also first-class and there is a private social media page where we can see photographs of Mum having the time of her life.
A lovely place which, on first entering to look for my mum, ticked all the boxes for her dementia care. My mum has settled in and as a family, we are all so pleased with her care and support from all of the staff at Bridgedale House.
Moved Mum into Bridgedale House and was so impressed with the way staff handled the whole process. My visits have been few since then but every time I have been, I have been made most welcome and found everyone very professional.
Bridgedale House is a wonderful, happy home. My Mother is very settled and enjoys the many activities and outings. All the Staff are so kind and caring to residents and relatives. It is always a real pleasure to visit.
My father had been in a care facility in Leeds following the death of my precious mum. We decided to move him to Sheffield after a number of issues had arisen. Two members of staff came to assess him in Leeds and couldn't have been kinder. We could not be more delighted with the care he has received at Bridgedale. Without exception, the staff truly care for the residents. It's a happy and wholesome environment full of love and good humour.
My mum has been at Bridgedale House since February 2024. She was visited in hospital before being offered a place to make sure she could be supported and cared for. She was welcomed from day one, with kindness and professional care, with a smile. The staff demonstrate experience and knowledge, genuinely wanting to make sure my mum is comfortable. Management communicates in a timely and confidential manner. They are professional, positive and approach any conversation with a friendly and reassuring tone. Bridgedale House is clean and bright as is my mum's room. The conservatory, patio and gardens are well-kept and attractive. My mum enjoys sitting outside with the beautiful and safe surroundings. There are stimulating and engaging activities for each morning and afternoon. It is comforting to know that my mum is doing well, she feels safe and content with people who genuinely care for her.
Mum has been at Bridgedale for four months now and I couldn't be more pleased with all aspects of her care. The staff are genuinely caring and have taken time to get to know her well. They are always friendly and welcoming when I visit and mum has built good relationships with them all. I also find the management extremely approachable and happy to chat. The building is always spotless, as is Mum's room, and the garden is beautiful. When the weather has allowed, residents have also been able to sit out on the patio. Mum also enjoys sitting in the conservatory and enjoying the view of the garden. The food always looks amazing and Mum loves her meals! Themed meals also take place and the tables are always beautifully decorated with great attention to detail. Since moving into Bridgedale, I feel that Mum has gained an extra family; one who cares for her and wants the best for her. It is reassuring for me to have peace of mind that she is so well looked after.
Bridgedale is Managed by an exemplary lady. All the staff are caring and helpful. My father-in-law has received exceptional care and attention. I would recommend Bridgedale to anyone looking for a caring, safe, positive environment for their relative.
Everything about Bridgedale House is amazing. The facilities are great but what makes it fantastic are the staff. They are all so compassionate, caring, and skilled but more than that treat residents as the important individuals they are. They take time to learn about the resident's lives so that their care and communication is tailored to them. I have such respect for the staff here. I couldn't wish for a better place for my mum.
My wife who suffers from dementia spent two weeks respite care in Bridgedale House. Everything about Bridgedale in this period was excellent. My wife was afforded great care and attention. She remained happy and joined in the activities. This is directly linked to the close, kind, care and help she was given by all the staff members. Our family all spoke well of Bridgedale, the care given to my wife and us her family. We are very grateful to Bridgedale.
Very helpful and flexible management. A genuinely caring setting provided by motivated staff. The relaxed environment has allayed any concerns about 'putting her in a home' and she has settled well and seems happy.
Excellent care home - friendly staff and a very homely feel. Always doing activities for the residents. It's not flashy like other care homes we looked at, but that's not what is important for someone with dementia - it's how the place is run and the care the staff give. Can't fault it!
Lovely staff in an impressive setting. My mum is in the best of health she has been for a few years. Plenty of activities and care is foremost.
My mother moved to this home from a different (well-considered) service provider. The difference in her care is extremely pleasing. Her needs are anticipated by the many, extremely kind carers. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff when we, as relatives, have queries, they are always friendly and well informed, which is a great difference from our previous experience. I could not recommend this care home more highly. I cannot imagine a better place for my mother to be spending her latter and highly confused days.
Having visited many care homes in my career, I chose Bridgedale House because I felt my mother would settle well in this environment. The home is truly a home. It is a well-kept and caring environment with a caring team whose priority is to ensure residents are happy and well cared for. The team work well together and in the best interest of residents. It is lovely to see staff chatting with residents and dancing and singing with them at times. There is a well-planned timetable with optional activities and plenty of music. Staff regularly take residents on outings. The menu is well planned with tasty-looking meals which Mum enjoys. Staff are patient, manage residents' worries and quickly respond to signs of illness. My mother has settled well and is happy and healthier. The anxieties of living at home with a condition are forgotten. Choosing a care home for a close relative is a huge decision, thankfully family members are equally happy that this is the right place for Mum.
Moving my mum from home via hospital to Bridgedale was one of the most difficult decisions I've had to make but I'm glad I did. The staff took time with her to reassure and encourage her to join in with the Bridgedale community at her own pace. As a family we care for three elderly relatives in different parts of the country which is hard to manage at times so knowing that Mum is safe is so reassuring. I can also visit as much as I am able and just be her daughter and not her carer. I am truly grateful for the high standard of individual care, the good food options and understanding of her needs and preferences. I feel that she is genuinely cared for by the excellent team.
My mother has been a resident at Bridgedale House since early April 2023. As a family, we are so grateful to all the staff for providing such wonderful care for Mum. The level of care, attention on a one-to-one basis and support given to the residents is second to none. The home's activities and facilities are way beyond our expectations and the warm and welcoming atmosphere makes it a pleasure to visit Mum there. The food, cleanliness of the home and individual residents' rooms are excellent and we couldn't wish for a better environment for Mum to live in. We would happily and highly recommend Bridgedale House to any families seeking residential care for their loved ones.
This is the nicest most well-appointed care home I have visited. The staff are caring, attentive and friendly and we were made very welcome. I have been in many care homes but this is the one I would recommend. I could not wish for a better place for my friend to be cared for.
Bridgedale feels like and for my Mum, certainly is, a home from home. It has a warm atmosphere generated by the wonderful amazing people who work there. It doesn’t feel like an institution at all, more like a family run hotel. Really didn’t know such a care home existed before I came to look around with my sister. We knew straight away this was the place for Mum and we’re so relieved. She settled down within a day and started her new life there. Every single person I’ve met who works there is totally committed to the residents and making them feel safe, comfortable, happy, entertained, valued, and comforted if they are having a bad moment or mood swing. Just cannot speak highly enough of Bridgedale- in every respect it is excellent. I’m so glad my wonderful mum is there and living a content and sociable life regardless of her illness. Can’t think of one negative point to make.
