View Full Details of Mapplewell ManorMy 79 year old father had contracted a viral infection whilst on holiday in Benidorm - He was transferred via a Medical flight to Hospital whilst he was assessed. I found the best place within a 10 mile radius of me, which was Mapplewell Manor. The place is lovely, clean and the staff are friendly. It's also very warm! I'm a great believer in "If you don't use it, you lose it" and I worked with my father doing basic exercises in both of the Hospitals and Mapplewell Manor - Chair Raises, Leg raises, Stairs, Knee Push Up's etc - Mapplewell Manor were very accommodating in allowing both myself and my father to exercise in the care home. My father is now coming to my home to live with me (providing he does his exercises) - He has got himself a personal trainer, who will work with him at the gym near me. I would like to thank Mapplewell Manor for providing a safe and warm environment whilst we did our exercises - My father stayed at Mapplewell Manor for 2 months.
We visited Mapplewell Manor looking for a care home for respite for my mum. Everyone we dealt with were friendly, helpful and courteous. We found the home and staff excellent and felt we didn't need to look any further and booked Mum in straight away. We attended an assessment for Mum and again were impressed with all the staff.
I'm very pleased with the care my father-in-law is getting, all the staff are great caring, and supportive. The room is lovely. He has been a lot better while being in Mapplewell Manor. His personality has come back, put on weight, and seems a lot happier. I am very pleased with the care my father-in-law is getting and all the staff have been brilliant.
My father moved into Mapplewell Manor in January 2024 and has been very well looked after from day 1. All staff are welcoming and very friendly. My father had a UTI recently over a weekend and the carers involved with organising medical care and ensuring he got the right treatment went above and beyond. Thank you.
My husband has had excellent care nearly all the time during the 20 months he has lived at Mapplewell. Only criticism is he wasn't always showered depending on staff present carers have shown him great affection. He has been safe, secure, and well-nourished. His personal care on the whole has been excellent. His end-of-life care was exemplary. Thank you.
I visit 2 residents who are friends of mine. The care seems excellent and the staff have always been friendly, kind and helpful.
Thank you so much for looking our granny whilst we were on holiday. The manor is clean, friendly & safe.
I have always found staff friednly and helpful. I have been to a few fairs both Christmas and summer.
My father-in-law came for three weeks of respite in August. Right from enquiring, we were treated with respect, even at this stage, staff made us feel welcome and part of the Mapplewell Manor family. Nothing was too much trouble. My husband is a very hard man to please but you blew him out of the water, he was beyond impressed with the home, staff, facilities - well everything really. His remark following a look around the home, "I'm booking in". If he's impressed and happy with the care his dad received, then you're doing something right. An outstanding place. Thank you so much.
Mapplewell Manor is a warm, welcoming and friendly community. Staff on Woodlands and throughout the home provide excellent care with kindness and affection which is very much appreciated. Recently my mum needed to go to hospital and a member of staff went with and stayed with her during the visit. Thank you.
Our journey with Mapplewell Manor from the start to the present day has been an exceptionally positive one. On the initial visit, we were blown away by the lovely grounds, gardens, lounges, and rooms, as well as the real positive vibe you feel. My father has now been here for several months and every aspect of his care has been outstanding. The staff members are exceptional, genuine caring lovely people with real attention to detail. The place has a great 'family' feel to it. My father and I feel like we have become part of the family, for us it's a truly magical place which I would highly recommend!
Went for a coffee in the lounge, very pleasant afternoon. Carers are very friendly.
Mapplewell Manor has a community spirit! The staff are very professional and care for my mum, treating her with dignity and respect. My sister and I feel so at ease, knowing Mum is receiving the quality care she deserves. Recently we had a family trauma which resulted in less frequent visits for several weeks. The management and staff supported us 100% leaving us to manage and upsetting time without having to worry about Mum. I frequently recommend Mapplewell Manor to anyone seeking excellent care for a loved one.
I have had a pleasant stay in a lovely room. Excellent staff always showing care and respect. Very cheerful staff. I enjoyed the food and nice to have a drink if I chose to have one. I felt very well looked after in my 2 weeks respite. I will come and visit again and call up to say hello and have a coffee with the residents.
My nanan is so happy at Mapplewell Manor which in turn makes us happy! She enjoys spending time with her friends and taking part in events. The trips to the hairdresser are brilliant, she's always loved having her hair done. The care is excellent and it means that we can sleep easy knowing she's cared for to such a standard. Her general medicine care is also great, knowing when she needs a bit more or a possible hospital visit. Thank you to all the staff.
Needing to find a suitable place for short-term (two weeks) respite care was proving to be a nightmare. Starting out on our Dementia journey and now needing a break was becoming 'difficult'. Unfamiliar with everything involved, it was fortunate that we were put in touch with the partner of a full-time resident. The care, staff, facilities, activities and support etc were described as first class/excellent and they were not wrong. It met and exceeded all expectations. From the first visit and introduction to the 'two weeks respite' being agreed it went like clockwork. Mapplewell Manor is outstanding in providing care. A smart modern, comfortable home with all of the necessary facilities, comforts and activities at hand. Staffed by people who go the extra mile and who 'care with a smile and can do/will do attitude'. With an efficient Admin Team led by experienced/understanding suite managers, many members of staff have long lengths of experience/service. Nothing was too much. 10/10
Mapplewell Manor continues to provide an excellent standard of care across the board. A real effort is to make special occasions such as Mother's Day a real treat. A truly fantastic afternoon tea was provided in the cafe bar with singing, dancing and much smiling. The singer was brilliant as were all the staff involved. Thank you.
Continued good care. Often clothing is not changed after spilling food. Often not wearing her own clothes. Confusion about care for face, referred to plastic surgery dept at the local hospital.
Staff always very helpful and caring. My uncle has always had excellent care and support here. Very happy with his care.
The biggest asset of Mapplewell Manor is the staff. They are loving, caring and fun. The place is very positive with a can-do attitude (they always try to say yes to any requests we have).
