View Full Details of Dipton Manor Care HomeMy mam is now living at Dipton Manor on a temporary basis, I was very skeptical and worried my mam's health could worsen, mam is still with the Dipton Manor and I have found every member of staff very caring and patient with everyone I see them care for. Occasionally they are short of staff because of ie. illness, then all staff left rally around and help each other to ensure all and every patient is cared for correctly. When you go to Dipton Manor they make you feel very welcome and even silly questions I ask are always answered. I feel now mam has become stronger and her health is much better because of all her carers at the home. Well done to everyone your jobs are not easy but all the caring you give makes me appreciate you all so much.
Moved my mother into Dipton Manor in December 2023 and initially I was very impressed with the care she received, however after a few months this care declined rapidly. A number of head carers left in a short space of time and the turnover of care assistants increased to the point where I had no regular point of contact, however more concerningly the standard of care dropped dramatically. My mother had an open sore to one of her legs which despite being pointed out by a junior member of staff went untreated for 3 days. This is just one example of a serious lack of care my mother received. After a series of other incidents I moved my mother to another home in August 2024 and to this date have had no communication from Dipton Manor management to discuss my concerns or ask why I felt the need to move my mother, a fact which I find unbelievable and sums up how the home is now run. I would not recommend this care home to anyone unless there are major changes made.
My husband was in the home during September 2023. The care, support and kindness of the staff was faultless. My husband was made to feel really welcome and at home, nothing was too much trouble. He enjoyed all his meals and the rooms are spacious. The home is beautiful, with stunning views. Thank you to the staff for all your help.
Highly recommended. Staff are efficient, professional, knowledgeable and caring from the minute you park the car for your initial visit to leaving my husband for his first stay there. I felt immediately at home, and more importantly, so did he. He has spoken positively about his experience there and will be more than happy to return when required.
My grandad moved into Dipton Manor in March 2019 after having a fall at home, which resulted in needing 24-hour care (which the family were unable to provide). We searched around a handful of different homes, but Dipton Manor stood out to us the most when viewing. All the staff are extremely helpful and caring, as well as being very welcoming. The care my grandad receives is outstanding, and we couldn’t wish for anything better. During a difficult year, from March 2020 to this current date, we have only been able to see my grandad a couple of times due to the government announcements on Covid-19. During this time, we have all felt at ease knowing he is in the best possible place. We receive FaceTime calls to be able to speak with my grandad in the best possible way at present, which we are super grateful for. My grandad is happy and content living here and is always very appreciative of what the staff do for him. Thank you to all at Dipton Manor Care Home.
My mam spent the last two weeks of her life in this beautiful care home where she was always looked after with respect and kindness. My mam was a very proud lady she was always treated with dignity, nothing was ever any trouble. The permanent staff did a fantastic job making my mam comfortable and clean and were always very attentive to her needs. Knowing that she was being so well looked after took some of the pressure off our family which made our visiting times more enjoyable. On the day she died the clinical lead dealt with everything to a very high professional standard and was excellent with me and my boys who were obviously breaking their hearts. I would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff that knew my mam especially, two staff; the clinical lead and support worker! My mam always appreciated all of your care.
My mum was in Dipton Manor from November to March where she received palliative care. I cannot praise the staff in this home enough, they were so friendly and professional at all times, nothing was any trouble, they kept me well informed about how my mum was doing and if I had any questions they were always handled immediately. The home was always spotlessly clean. They did a lot of home cooking which was lovely and always offered my mum an alternative if she ever needed it. My mum's end of life care was handled so professionally and with dignity. The staff who were on, looked after my mum and our family brilliantly. It was a very difficult time which was made easier with such caring people around us.
Staff and management are excellent, very caring and they go above and beyond. The food is exceptional and there is plenty to choose from. Overall I would most definitely recommend this home.
Mam has lived here for about 6 months on Bradley Wing (for people with dementia). It is a very spacious floor with wide corridors and 2 large lounges. The corridors are ideal for Mam who likes walking about. There are magnificent views over the Derwent Valley from both lounges. There are also 2 smaller quiet seating areas in the corridor. Mam loves sitting in one of them, the garden seat alcove, which is decorated with trees and garden scenes. Dipton Manor is extremely clean, always has a lovely smell. All the staff are very approachable, pleasant and helpful and very patient, there are some really caring staff who really go the extra mile. Staff keep me informed how Mam is, any concerns they give me a ring. Senior care staff are very helpful if I go to them about anything. Mam has settled well here and is well looked after. When unwell she is well looked after. There are 20 residents' buzzers which are answered promptly. We visit often and are made welcome.
We have been very happy with the standard of care Dad receives. Staff are very helpful and pleasant and no matter how busy they always have time for a friendly chat. The home is spotlessly clean and the medical care and attention Dad receives are excellent.
Every time I visit my Mam I am met with a lovely welcome to find such a caring team is incredible. The home is five star in terms of design, cleanliness and activities. Having sampled the food it also is home cooking at its best. My Mam has become so much better at socialising since moving in as she had lost confidence through spending lots of lonely days before making the decision to be cared for. Well done to the whole team.
Staff always approachable carers or management to talk to and listen if you have any concerns any time during the day or night.
