View Full Details of The PotteriesWould like to say a massive thank you to all the staff at The Potteries who looked after dad. You are all amazing and not sure how we can ever repay you. I know some times he was challenging especially if he didn't have his dinner on a hot plate or if his hot cross buns were not toasted how he liked them, but he thought you were all brilliant. The last couple of months have been challenging with dad deteriorating until he took his final breath on Sunday. You have been our life line over the last few months and dad thought the world of you all. Not sure how we would have got through this without out you. Thanks again to everyone who cared for dad, you are all very special people xx
My mum has just had two weeks respite in the potteries. I was so impressed with the home and the staff. The home is welcoming with a bright and airey reception and cafe area. The staff are very caring and pay great attention to detail , everyone seemed to know her name from day one . I delivered her case the afternoon before admission , her clothes were taken and immediately named and were hanging in her wardrobe/ drawers when we arrived . The lifestyle team encouraged mum to take part in activities of which there are many .Mum enjoyed the meals and the chef and team provided lovely cakes everyday for the cafe. Many thanks to all at the potteries , would definitely recommend if you are looking for a care home .
My husband has been at the potteries since June 2022. He has had exceptional care from the staff and lifestyle team.
I can't thank the team at The Potteries enough for the care and attention they gave to my Mum and also us as a family. They all went above and beyond and with so many highs and lows for us to all to deal with. The warmth felt by my Mum was reciprocated with the team being known as 'her girls'. In the short time Mum was there she was so very well cared for. The family had regular messages from the team to keep us involved with Mum's care. We were always made to feel welcome when visiting. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Potteries.
Excellent care for my mum. She has dementia. The care she receives is second to none. Lots of interaction with the staff. So happy she is there. The staff are always very welcoming when I visit. If I have any worries, they put my mind at rest.
Living in Canada, I needed a trustworthy, safe and comfortable location for my 90-year-old Mother. I have been so pleased with the super care, warmness and constant updates the home provides. I cannot fault this location in any way and highly recommend it to anyone looking for top-class care for an ageing relative, to provide them with a five-star lovely home in their latter years.
My father was a resident at The Potteries for 5 years passing away on the 10th of October. His time at the Potteries gave him a very very happy and fulfilling care experience. The continuing strive by the management team to build the best team of service providers I've enjoyed being a part of too. The icing on the cake being the lifestyle team now in place who bring so much joy to the residents. Dad loved the staff and the staff loved him, it says something when I'm missing the team as they've become such a big part of my routine.
First class nursing home! My father-in-law has been in The Potteries Nursing Home now for a few months and every time I go to visit him I am greeted with friendly professional staff who look after all the residents with upmost respect. I totally recommend this place!
The Potteries Care Home is the best care home my mother has resided in. The staff are always kind and considerate to my mum and provide very good care. The home is very well presented and offers a wide range of meal options for residents. Further, it provides activities that are well-planned, fun and rewarding for residents. I have no hesitation in recommending the Potteries Care home to others, for peace of mind with regard to holistic care for their loved ones.
Visited my grandmother for lunch. It's difficult for her as she is a very independent woman and doesn't like to cause a fuss. The care home in general was lovely. Staff were lovely and friendly and welcoming. Good facilities and clean. However, my grandmother is a vegetarian. There is no vegetarian menu listed. It says there is a vegetarian menu available but it is not advertised anywhere. Why can the menu not include the vegetarian option so those who require it know what to expect or whether they need to get something else in. Seems a very easy fix considering a daily menu is printed anyway. I know it would make her feel much more included.
My aunt was at The Potteries for six months until she died. I found the staff very caring. The two rooms she was in were very nice and the whole dementia suite was well equipped and laid out. I felt the residents were safe. The most impressive aspect was the number of different activities for residents including outings. Family members are welcomed and supported with free teas, coffees, cakes to help yourself to, of course this comes at a cost in terms of fees. Only difficulty was getting updates and to talk to more senior staff about health given that I'm not local.
As a grandmother myself who now lives abroad, I was delighted to visit my mum with my grandchildren. My word! What a wonderful place! The staff are so cheerful and willing to help any and all of the residents. We spent many a happy hour there. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Making Bovril late at night or tying up one of Mum's plants that have blown over. I'm back home now but satisfied mum is getting the best possible care. I look at the Potteries' social media account every couple of days to see what she's up to! P.S. My grandson said the hot chocolate there is awesome! Thank you for all the work you do for Mum.
We had a fantastic time yesterday afternoon celebrating my parents' Wedding Anniversary with the family. The staff were exceptionally helpful and enthusiastic providing an excellent lunch and celebration cake for the event. The room was beautifully decorated and the whole day was a celebration of the life of my parents.
My mother came into The Potteries in mid-March and I could not be happier with the care she is receiving. The nursing staff identified medical concerns which soon got sorted out, with the help of the doctors and nurses. The care staff show so much compassion and patience along with caring for my mother, always talking to her about things she has done in the past. As my mother has various concerns and dementia she is not always able to join in with all the amazing daily activities that The Potteries arrange. All staff regardless of what they do within the care home show kindness, not only to the residents but also to the relations and friends as this can be an upsetting time when we see our loved ones slowly leaving us.
What a beautiful and happy place to enjoy retirement. The staff are so friendly, happy and caring. The facilities are fantastic, hairdressers even has a lounge with a well stocked bar. The gardens are beautiful with a red white and blue theme for remembering the D-day celebrations.
Mum went into The Potteries for some respite care. We booked two weeks and Mum extended her stay for another two weeks. Loved The Potteries and the people, the activities and local minibus trips out. She has her 'spark' back! Now making arrangements to permanently move in.
Excellent team who all work hard to keep the residents safe and happy. The food is good and it is well kept and clean. The welcome as you arrive is universally friendly and professional. The manager is excellent, leading her team well and providing a good role model for all. You feel like the team are working together. Inevitable shortages of staff in the care sector don't seem to impact the care unduly though I am sure it feels like they are paddling furiously under the surface to make it feel that way! Happy residents! And happy relatives.
The Potteries offer excellent care, friendly staff and a deeply caring attitude. The facilities are clean and well run with activities to keep the residents engaged. I am confident that my mother is receiving the best possible care for her needs.
My aunt has been a resident since July 2023 due to her dementia. My aunt previously had respite here back in 2018 and we were so impressed with the level of care she received, so we decided that this would be the place she would go to when her dementia deteriorated. My aunt is very happy here. The food is wonderful and caters to her health diet, she has always been very particular about what she eats. The home is always meticulously clean. As I work in healthcare, I have a keen eye for spotting things and I have not seen one thing which has caused me to have any concern. The staff are very caring, they show much compassion to the residents. The residents always seem happy and there is a communal feel with them mixing. The residents are always clean, this shows the level of care received. I can only recommend The Potteries from mine and my aunt's experience.
My mum came to The Potteries in December 2023 for respite care. All the staff from the laundry, carers, activities team right through to management treat the residents like family and even support the residents family. No matter what time of the day you arrive visiting there is a really good vibe and you are made very welcome. I made the decision for my mum to become a permanent resident after the eight weeks respite for her own well-being and safety
