View Full Details of Wraysbury HouseOur mother spent her last almost 3 years with Wraysbury House where the care was far superior to her previous care home even though she was entirely funded by her local authority. Staff were warm, and kind and liked to tease and have a laugh with Mum. Her behaviour was challenging at times but they took it in their stride with a wry shrug, explaining what to expect as her vascular dementia advanced. It was wonderful to simply be her daughter during visits, sitting in the garden or pushing her wheelchair to the local park, and later reading, playing cards, snacking, or singing in her room. They could not have been kinder when her time came to leave us and accompanied us to scatter her ashes at sea. This care home is a lovely place with a compassionate and experienced Manager and Team, well-versed in end-of-life care, so I thoroughly recommend Wraysbury House as a clean and compassionate haven for your beloved relative.
The staff are very caring and friendly. They looked after my brother with great care until his demise. I can't thank them enough and would recommend Wraysbury House.
The level of care that was given to our mother during her twilight years at Wraysbury House was exceptional. The wonderful team of carers always gave Mum lots of love and affection and coped well with the more challenging aspects of dementia with a sense of humour and always with compassion. During her final days manager even came out in the middle of the night to ensure that Mum was not in any pain. I would wholeheartedly recommend Wraysbury House. Your loved one will be in good hands.
Wraysbury House is a lovely home albeit a bit outdated furniture and decor-wise. The staff are absolutely lovely and are always so friendly and warm to my mum. Her room is kept the way she likes it with all her soft toys and photos of family on the walls. The food is good old home cooking, the way Mum likes.
My husband has settled well at Wraysbury. I am relaxed knowing that he is safe and well cared for. He enjoys the home-cooked food and always clears his plate. His room is clean and comfortable. Management and all staff work together as a team.
My friend was transferred from the hospital to this home earlier this month. I had no previous knowledge of the home but all the staff have been friendly and helpful-i.e. I opted for a change of room because of size and view and it was arranged. I have not seen meals, so not know the cost and hope it is safe. The lift broke down a week after my friend arrived but fortunately, she could manage the stairs. She has settled now and enjoys the activities.
My aunt has been at Wraysbury House for thirty-six months and has been very happy during this time. The staff are very caring and compassionate and keep in regular contact. There have always been plenty of activities for the residents, and family and friends are always welcome to join. Although my aunt's health is now deteriorating I continue to value the added care she receives. Thank you to the entire team at Wraysbury House.
Wraysbury House looked after us every step of the way, putting us at ease and helping us with our needs as well as my mother's. My mother is very well cared for and we are extremely pleased we chose Wraysbury House to care for our mother at this time in her life.
The home has been looking after my Mum for many years though her dementia journey. She was very happy with everything about the home and staff. Now Mum is into end of life care the staff are still very caring and doing what's best for her. I've sometimes turned up when they have not expected me. I'm always greeted with a cup of tea and Mum's level of care is no different.
My wife has been a resident at Wraysbury House for just a short time but thanks to the truly wonderful care, kindness and love shown to her she has settled in the quite wonderful lovely home. This is such a great comfort to me and our family at what is a difficult time. The staff are courteous and kind as are the management, always on hand to help my wife and us if necessary. The activities and facilities are excellent and you can see that everyone is encouraged to join in. There is a lovely garden my wife can go into when the weather is warmer and we will be able to enjoy this with her during our visits. I can see that my wife is always treated with dignity and respect. I would not hesitate to recommend Wraysbury House to anyone.
Wraysbury House is a little haven of care and love. I felt reassured that many of the staff have worked there for many years, and they always knew how my friend was whenever asked, which gave me confidence in the home. Wraysbury House has a homely, comfortable and friendly feel, which was very important to us. My friend enjoyed her food which was great, and I loved how the staff would cater for her love of biscuits and milk at various times of the day and night. She was happy with her room which was bright and uplifting. The management is excellent, always responsive, kind, generous and considerate. I am very grateful that my friend felt loved and cared for at Wraysbury House for the last months of her life.
This home has a calm atmosphere with friendly, patient staff. They made my Dad feel welcome at an apprehensive time. They encourage group activities which happen daily. A pleasant, private garden is a plus. A work in progress with its maintenance. The home is kept clean, tidy and safe. Overall my Dad is very well looked after and we have been kept informed of his progress as he settled in.
The staff have the best interests of their patients, even if they do not have the best facilities at the home. I like the fact that the staff are the same familiar faces I see. They are always courteous and friendly. This is reflected in my sister who is extremely happy.
Wraysbury House is just like a home from home. It is warm and clean with lovely rooms. Dad was very happy there. The food was excellent, Christmas party was fun. The staff were amazing with Dad, attentive, caring, kind and gentle. Dad felt safe, secure and loved, both day and night. Staff kept me fully informed of hospital admissions and of Dad's end-of-life care. We were able to visit as much as we wished, Covid tested and provided with masks. Dad was treated with dignity at all times. Thank you so much Wraysbury House staff.
Wraysbury House is a lovely large building with airy and bright rooms on the ground and first floor. A warm welcome by all staff members on shift who greet you on arrival. Staff are experienced, helpful and patient and endeavour to make our loved ones feel relaxed and comfortable as possible. In terms of areas for improvement, I would suggest that some bedrooms and public areas would benefit from a fresh coat of paint. Having said that the large living room, conservatory and garden are great open spaces for the residents to enjoy.
When choosing a care home, at a very difficult time with my mum, the manager of Wraysbury House spent ten minutes on the phone explaining about how they care for dementia patients. Immediately, I was drawn to her care and warmth. At every step of our journey, we have had amazing attention from the staff and have been kept informed of any slight medical issues and decisions around moving rooms etc. When needed, when Mum declined, in her last few weeks, we could not have been kept better informed. In the last few days, knowing the end was near, the attention, kindness, care and love shown to us and Mum were beyond words. A truly lovely family of carers - their love and affection for Mum had no boundaries.
My mother was a resident for twenty months. Whenever I visited she was clean, tidy and content. The care and consideration given to us in the last days of her life was absolutely outstanding. Every member of staff showed us great kindness and went beyond the call of duty to help us.
Wraysbury House have looked after my mum for two years and she really enjoyed it there. She had two MRI's and they were excellent looking after her. For her end of life care, we were allowed to see her every day. She was 92 - a great age. She had a lovely sunny room and loved sitting in the lounge, conservatory and garden in the summer.
OMG, I am so lucky as the wife of 54 years to have my husband in such a brilliant home.
Both my family and myself are more than satisfied with the care and general cleanliness of the home.
