View Full Details of Albert Suites at Battersea PlaceAll very good but impossible to arrange a cup of tea in bed each morning? They have lovely staff and the food is ok. Very uncomfortable single bed. A thin mattress on a wooden slatted base! Slightly improved by a mattress topper!
I spent a week in the Albert Suites following major spinal surgery and before returning home. My room was excellent, well-appointed, clean and air-conditioned. I found the staff very friendly and efficient, answering the bell for assistance without delay, day and night and providing analgesia as necessary also without delay. Domestic service was good but the food, especially the evening meal was very disappointing and the method of serving it from a 'steam cabinet' where it has been languishing for some time, is not successful. However, the level of help which I received as a bridge between hospital and home, was excellent and exactly what I needed and had hoped for.
The rooms are clean and warm. All staff are wonderfully polite, pleasant and helpful. The food was a little disappointing in that the food wasn't very hot and portions were small. Plenty of tea and coffee available. The bedding wasn't changed in the week of residence.
Having been in hospital for a few days, I needed to spend a week to recover without the need to look after myself and with the benefit of some nursing facilities. Albert Suites suited my requirements very well. My room and bathroom were comfortable and clean, the air conditioning worked well over some very hot days, the staff was all friendly and pleasant and the food was healthy and well-presented.
The staff were uniformly kind and friendly. I had a fall while resident (not the fault of anyone at the home) which resulted in an ambulance taking me to A&E. Following a week in the hospital I returned to the home but had to go back to hospital for numerous tests. I was always accompanied by a member of staff who made it all as smooth and stress-free as possible. My daily Physiotherapy sessions definitely helped to get me back on track after my fall. The food was generally very good, healthy and plentiful. I would definitely recommend the Albert Suites.
My stay at Albert Suites at Battersea Place has been very pleasant and a wonderful experience. My sincere thanks and appreciation to all the staff, i.e. nurses, carers, housekeeping, kitchen, physio and management. Each member of the staff was so caring and dedicated in their jobs. Once again, a very big thank you to all. God bless!
I spent two weeks in Albert Suites at Battersea Place after a half-hip replacement. I was primarily here to recover but also to do physio and get used to walking with a stick - I needed to practice stairs because my flat is on the third floor without a lift and physio was especially sensitive to this. The nursing care was excellent, the staff were unfailingly courteous and helpful. The food was delicious.
Another excellent stay at Albert Suites at Battersea Place which is a great place to go post-operative for recovery. Lovely, kind staff who are also very upbeat and caring, special mention to the nursing team. Having stayed here twice I'm happy I don't need to come again, but should I rock up on the Albert Suites doorstep again in a few years I know I'll be well looked after.
I recently spent several weeks at the Albert Suites recovering from surgery. Everyone was so professional and kind and made my stay really enjoyable. The care and support I received during my stay has definitely made a positive difference to my recovery. The food was also lovely and despite being very busy, the catering team were happy to assist with my special dietary requirements. The team at the Albert Suites are truly wonderful!
The overall stay was good. I was there with a fractured pelvis for three and a half weeks, therefore needed a lot of help and care. The food was just terrible, same menu for two weeks. Extremely badly cooked and the taste was terrible.
Altogether excellent, particularly the nursing staff, who were extremely thoughtful and patient and with a good sense of humour. The food was good. Had the menu been changed every week rather than once a fortnight, I think it would have been better. The situation is on the edge of Battersea Park. It is particularly good enabling me to be taken for a walk in the park nearly every day.
The accommodation and staff were all great. It was very helpful having on-site physiotherapy support available, so I was very pleased with the level of care I received during my stay. My only criticism relates to the catering side of things. It was very rare that I received a tray that had all the things I had ordered for any of my meals. The carers were unable to do anything about missing or incorrect items as their role was just to bring around the trays. Having a member of the kitchen staff available when meals are served would be helpful. They would at least be in a position to address any problems. The quality of the food was good; it was just getting the order correctly filled that let things down. Seems like something that should be easy to resolve. Seems like a minor issue, but when it happens at almost every meal, it can get a bit trying!
I had a wonderful experience in November 2022 recovering from a hip operation. As a result, I have returned for a week of rest and TLC. The welcome I received on return was heartwarming and I felt I had 'come home'. I cannot praise enough the kindness, compassion and excellent nursing received. Talking with some other residents, remarks were made regarding the relaxed, calm atmosphere and the lovely amount of laughter. Thank you, all of you.
Excellent physio and nursing care. A very comfortable and relaxing stay which enabled my husband to walk again. Thank you.
I spent three weeks here following a broken hip/femur. The care and support were first class and there was a very strong 'personal touch' from the staff, which was warm and reassuring. The in-house Physio offered from the team is excellent and helped me make the first steps on my journey back to mobility. The director of care was always on hand to provide advice and recommendations. Nursing staff were considerate and responsive. The food and service were also very strong. My needs were specific to my injury and hence my stay was short. I would strongly recommend Albert Suites for anyone requiring post-op care. A big thank you to the team.
My mother stayed at Albert Suites for the best part of 3 months and she was looked after beautifully. Wonderfully caring nurses, great facilities and delicious food! I have to also thank The Head of Care for recommending the next stage for my mother which so far is working out well.
Excellent post-op facility for my very elderly mother following a broken hip who spent nearly 3 months at the Albert Suites. Care and support were very good and there was a very strong "personal touch" to her stay from the staff which was most reassuring and also brought a very warm dimension to her care. In the spirit of being objective and if I were asked to voice a minor criticism it would be that there was little in the way of "extra curriculum" activities for the residents but this comment should be tempered by recognising that the Albert Suites' primary purpose is to offer respite and rehab care and not the facilities of a permanent, long term care home. To that extent, it achieves that purpose very well.
My mother reluctantly had to accept post-op care as she had wanted to return straight home following shoulder replacement surgery. Albert Suites at Battersea Place offered her exactly the right level of care and support. The staff were so kind and helpful, the physio really accelerated her recovery and she was comfortable and, most importantly, very happy throughout her stay. She found the experience to be first class. Her only complaint was the huge amount of excellent food! Can't thank all at the Albert Suites enough for making this difficult period go so smoothly.
I have just spent 2 weeks here after a major foot operation and although the carers and nursing staff were excellent! I was very disappointed to find that despite being assured by the admissions manager that all these things were “of course” included with my room, I did not have the three TV streaming services which I am signed up for, in fact, my television barely worked on the basic channels. Did not have a landline, did not have a bedside light. No toothbrush charger. Mirror in bathroom could not be used by me, far too high. All of these things I asked for and was completely ignored or they found my requests amusing. In fact, the admissions manager told me I was here to recuperate and therefore watching television should not be important. I was non weight bearing and so spent most of my time in my room. There was a serious lack of fresh vegetables and I thought generally the catering very second rate for a supposedly 5-star establishment. Menu limited if you are not a resident.
I had very good care during my stay. My only criticism is that while the food was excellent, the portions were much too big.
