View Full Details of Asprey Court Care HomeMy husband's first time in respite care and what an experience he had. The home was given a full profile of how he was, his behaviours etc. I called the home to ask how he was doing to be told he was refusing his medications, refusing to eat and refusing personal care. He keeps going into other client's rooms even though we have told him not to and we've even put his name on his room door. My husband who has dementia needs coaxing to do things like personal care, I've never had problems with his eating, he's a roamer and he has to be coaxed to take his medication at times. In new settings he can be difficult and aggressive l admit never denied it. So l am disappointed in this care home with a behavioural unit that couldn't cater for his needs at a time when he was in a strange environment and not able to understand what was happening to him and unable to read his name on his room door. l say shame on you for not providing him with the care, patience, and understanding he deserves.
My sister has dementia, and without the wonderful staff at Asprey, we, as a family, could not cope with the situation. It’s the toughest challenge we have had to cope with as a family, and when it gets hard, there is always a member of staff to help us cope. Special thanks to all the staff and the manager, who we can always chat with to find solutions for any issues we might have. Just want to say thanks a million to all the staff who work there; we, as a family, appreciate you.
My father came to Asprey Court for temporary respite after being very poorly in hospital. Very sadly he passed away after being there for only two weeks. In those two weeks, I cannot fault the care he received, all the staff were very attentive, kind and caring, nothing was too much trouble. The manager is so supporting, kind and caring, again nothing is too much trouble, and any concerns are quickly alleviated or sorted out. I would definitely recommend Asprey Court.
My aunt loves the food and has put weight on since being a resident. The carers are generally very kind and patient, and encourage her to join in with the activities. The activity staff are constantly finding new ways to decorate the home and stimulate residents. Housekeeping are incredible, and the rooms are always clean. The administrative staff are welcoming and helpful. The accommodation is superb; individual rooms are well-equipped, roomy and comfortable. It always makes me smile that the staff not only know all the residents' names but greet me by name too. Certainly hope this home is available when I need full-time care - what better recommendation than that.
I had a relative living at Asprey Court and cannot praise it enough. The staff would always make you feel welcome and go that extra mile for the residents; they became more like family. The accommodation was more like a hotel. The home was always very clean. The menu the home served was outstanding. I can't thank the staff or management enough for the exceptional care given. I would highly recommend this care home.
Whilst being a resident at Asprey Court my family member was not looked the way he deserved to be. We witnessed him being shouted at by one of the senior care staff which left him traumatised and terrified. On another occasion we arrived to find him in the lounge slumped in a chair. He was slipping off the chair and not one of the care staff was attempting to help him. The staff were congregated together chatting. On numerous occasions whilst sitting in our relative's room other residents would walk in and out of the room, the staff did not attempt to stop this. I would not recommend this home.
My mom has been in the care of Asprey Court for three years now. The staff have all been amazing there, catering to my mom's needs and ours as a family. Mom has Alzheimer’s and has very challenging behaviour, I can’t fault the care they have given her or us as a family. Special thank you to two staff members in particular for being so helpful and always being there for us and Mom.
July 2022. My honest personal assessment is based on my Mom spending 12 months here. Mom was left needing personal care way too often. The food was uninspired and basic. I observed on many occasions Mom and other residents were left to sit directly on sprung seats with cushions removed! I know many of the staff meant well, but again, all too often staff chatted amongst themselves as residents slumped, unstimulated in their seats. Staff handling skills (The Ward Manager - Mason Ward) were woeful and liable to cause injury. Mom had numerous falls and it was just a dreadful overall experience. All complaints were handled with assurances but little sustained remedial action. Clothing and eyeglasses were continually going missing, and the laundry staff rude and dismissive. I would not recommend this home.
My mum was seriously ill in January this year, was hospitalised for four months, was unable to go back to her last home due to having infections and an operation on her leg. She was then released in April and came to Asprey. She was physically unwell and underweight and very poorly. The care she has received is exceptional at Asprey.
My father is a resident at Asprey Court. Since admission, I have found the staff to be very caring and kind to my father and my family. The management are very approachable, the home is spotless and rooms are well equipped. The food is to a high standard, nothing is too much trouble. I would recommend this home to my friends and other family members.
My sister has learning disabilities and is autistic, so her behaviour can be very challenging. Staff are brilliant with her and go out of their way to ensure that her needs are met. Aspery Court has a warm and friendly atmosphere, and they have lots of events on to ensure that residents are interactive.
What a wonderful home. The care that was provided for my Aunt was outstanding these guys really do go above and beyond. We are treated as part of the family each time we visit, there always appears to be senior management in the home when we visit who are friendly and very approachable.
Very positive experience, only issues are with clothes going missing. Staff in the unit very approachable and any concerns dealt with promptly. Residents treated as individuals and with respect.
The administrator and the manager, the whole team care in such a way that visitors feel very welcome and you can see how well residents are cared for and that they do their utmost to make resident's experience as happy as they can be. The team research and try different things, activities to ensure that residents have variety.
Looked after my father professionally and excellently. Anything he needed he had. Activities etc excellent. Cinema, hairdressers you name it this home has it.
A lovely care home where all staff are friendly and residents are treated with respect and dignity. I would highly recommend this care home it's spacious, clean and lots for the residents to do activities wise.
Asprey Court is the most friendly, most caring home I have ever been in. The staff are one in a million. Management staff go above and beyond to help. They even kiss, hug and cuddle patients. They are always on hand to help advise and support rooms are fantastic. Very clean and very spacious. Very well decorated, even a bar. It is more like a top quality hotel.
Since Dec 2017 Asprey Court and their staff have given us 100% support and help. Nothing is too much trouble. They are always there to listen and advise whenever it's needed.
I cannot recommend this home more highly. The staff are extremely caring and cannot do enough for all the residents. Everybody from the nursing staff to the receptionist and the chef always acknowledge the residents and family and friends. The home is like a 5-star hotel and anybody would be hard to please if they did not like it here.
Facilities and technology to keep residents safe is amazing they make everyone feel welcome and part of the family atmosphere. Friend is so well looked after and happy excellent care home the best I’ve ever been in
