Very Welcoming. Friendly and approachable and caring and that is all members of staff. Lovely comfortable rooms with ensuite wet rooms. Nothing is too much trouble ~ everybody always goes above and beyond.
My partner stayed here for nine weeks after breaking his left femur. We really enjoyed the time we spent there. The staff especially the carers were brilliant as were the physio and occupational therapists. The room was very comfortable and quiet with a lovely view of the garden. This was just what he needed after a week in an NHS ward following his operation. His mobility has improved vastly from when he first arrived. He is taking much positivity from this now that he has returned home.
Some weeks ago I broke my left femur and spent some weeks in hospital. I then came here for almost two weeks and have had great care that was both therapeutic from physio nurses and physical care provided from all household staff.
My daughter arrived to Kingston Rehabilitation Centre November 2022 with complicated brain injuries. She was given 1.1 care with one member of care for two weeks, and due to this managed to adapt and most importantly feel safe. Within the last 18 months my daughter has achieved and exceeded her rehabilitation and mental health goals. The management support is open and the care from staff on all levels is extremely personable. My only slight issue is staff turnover within rehabilitation team, however staff re employed are always professional and caring. As a parent in an extremely vulnerable position I and my husband feel extremely blessed with the care KRC has given our daughter and most importantly appreciate the family environment KRC have. The nursing team are wonderful as are the care staff highly qualified. One irritation is that the GP is not always efficient.
I found the staff amazing, always, and my walking came along so well when I was there. The work they did on my stair walking in particular made it so easy to transition to life at home. The physio team and their assistants were first class, look forward to seeing them all again.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Kingston Rehabilitation Centre over the April period and the progress that I was able to make both mentally and physically I couldn't have done without the amazing team. All of the staff there were absolutely amazing and beyond welcoming they were all willing to help with any questions I had or even to take 10 minutes from their busy day to just have a chat and make me feel at home. I can't stress enough how much of a benefit it was to me to stay at a place like here. I was able to learn so much and they truly set you up with all the knowledge to head home and continue on your recovery. Big thank you to all the staff, I couldn't recommend this place enough.
Without exception, the staff at Kingston Rehabilitation Centre were friendly professional helpful and fully committed to my wife. The multidisciplinary team were happy to involve me in their regular assessments of how my wife's recovery was progressing.
Some of the staff are great, friendly, happy to help, have great interaction with the people who are residing there and seem to enjoy what they are doing. Others, however, although they may be polite and friendly it seems like they don’t want to be there and when asking them to help seems as if it’s an inconvenience. Needs improvements in certain areas.
I was extremely happy with the friendliness and welcome I received during my stay, from the cleaners to the nurses, from the physios to the carers, everyone was extremely nice. It felt comfortable having my room cleaned and maintained daily, I really appreciated this. I really enjoyed the salmon with hollandaise sauce dish, and desserts throughout the week, but would've liked to have had a bit more variety in the food offerings. I found the kitchen staff were on hand to accommodate as best they could. The option to order a bigger variety of snacks and drinks after kitchen opening hours would've been helpful. Also, with my injuries, a more supportive mattress would've been better during my stay. Overall, I'm very pleased with the treatment and hospitality I had throughout. Thanks to all who were a part of my stay!
I was apprehensive when I left hospital and was transferred to Kingston Rehabilitation Centre but from day one I was treated with patience and kindness from all the staff. The physios and occupational therapists were brilliant and really helped me progress with my recovery. My experience was a positive one. I return to the centre once a week for hydrotherapy and always receive a warm welcome from the staff which is lovely. I would recommend the centre to anyone.
My mother-in-law spent 3 weeks in the Kingston Rehabilitation Centre after a compression fracture - she received excellent care and had a very positive experience. The team are lovely and very caring, the managers are excellent and went above and beyond to help her both while she was in the centre and following discharge back home. She was initially upset at having to leave her own home but the team dealt with this beautifully. She didn't engage in group activities for the first 2 weeks and preferred to eat alone but this wasn't for lack of encouragement from the team. She had daily physio which was excellent in restoring her mobility and confidence - occupational therapy input was also very helpful, including a home assessment. She needed to attend the leg ulcer clinic while there and one of the centre's nurses went with her - this was very helpful. Room facilities are great and meals OK - more brown bread and fresh fruit would have been good, but she loved the chocolate desserts! Thanks for your excellent care!
I would like to say how caring and professional all the staff are from management, nurses, carers to the cleaning and support staff. Everyone is encouraging, friendly and all know your name. The contact prior to admission was good. The rooms are comfortable and of a good size. I have used the gym and hydrotherapy pool during my rehab and both are excellent.
My time at Kingston Rehab was enjoyable. The management and staff encouraged me to stay positive in a daily routine. The activities were good. I would have liked more. I am very happy with my care that I received.
