View Full Details of Birch Park Care HomeBirch Park Care Home is always spotless and all the staff are friendly, helpful and the rooms are cleaned all the time and garden. 10/10 to all staff in every department.
I am so glad I found a place at Birch Park for Mum, she is so happy here and loves her room. The staff is so lovely and nothing is too much trouble. I would tell any friends or family that need a place for an elderly relative to try Birch Park.
The home is exceptionally well maintained in all areas, the rooms are very bright and decorated to a high standard, the meals were good and my dad commented about how nice they were. My dad's care needs were met from the first instance by amazing kind and compassionate staff, the manager helped facilitate the move making it as smooth as possible for us as a family as my dad was very reluctant to go into a home. He was only in the home a very short time but he was happy, content and extremely well cared for, nothing was too much trouble for the team and I would highly recommend this home to anyone needing 24-hour care.
From day one the staff have eased my mother into the life of a care home, a different environment from what she has been used to. They have done this with consideration and care taking into account her needs and condition. The ensuite rooms are good and we are cleaned regularly. Food is good and healthy with tea and coffee provided throughout the day. Facilities are excellent and people coming in with extra help such as hairdressers and podiatrists are also good. I would recommend this care home to any family needing permanent or respite care.
From the moment my mum was admitted she has been treated with the utmost respect and kindness by the manager and all her team. This has extended to my family and I. The home is comfortably furnished and spotlessly clean at all times. I am very confident that my mum, who has dementia, is safe, well cared for and well-fed. Superb. Thank you.
Dad has recently moved into the home from living independently. The whole experience has been excellent, the staff have taken time to get to know him and supported him very well in the transition. The senior team and the manager are always approachable and helpful as we have navigated this difficult period for him. The quality of the rooms is great and dad who loves his food, is really enjoying the varied menu choices. This support has been very much appreciated by us as a family knowing he is being looked after 24/7 and safe. Having a nursing team on site has also been invaluable. On his birthday, they organised a tea party for us and dad had a cake made, which was a lovely touch.
Our mother was at Birch Park for more than 3 years. Their service and care was absolutely outstanding. I could not have asked for more personal service. My Dad and I spent a lot of time there over the years and we always found every member of staff to be respectful, patient and caring, not only to my own Mum but to every other person we saw them deal with. The staff all knew her and were aware of her own personal difficulties, her likes and dislikes, and what it was that we wanted for her. Before we even thought to ask, they were always ahead of us with suggestions of activities, specialised furniture and medical care. When it came to end-of-life care, despite it being an incredibly difficult time for us all, we were confident that they were giving my Mum the very best in terms of comfort, care and medical knowledge. The manager was communicative and compassionate throughout and we were so grateful for the support that she and her fabulous staff offered us.
This afternoon we had a small family / friends gathering for my aunt’s 99th birthday held in the lovely lounge at Birch Park Care Home. The catering for a delicious and beautifully presented afternoon tea was provided by the home catering staff. The caring in the home ensured that my aunt had a lovely day and we are most grateful.
The home is always welcoming, warm and exceptionally clean. However, I feel that the home looks more corporate in decoration and lacks maybe some personal belongings of residents doled around the shared areas. Not sure of the activity status as the person I visited appears not to want to share much in group settings (that's what she informs me). The outdoor environment is quite wonderful and very well managed, a great asset for the residents who can enjoy it.
I highly recommend Birch Park. Mum has been very ill, and they have always put her best interests in place. She is very well looked after. I can talk to management and staff if I have any questions, and they listen and deal with them efficiently. The staff are very friendly and care for all the residents. It is clean and secure. Regular entertainment is provided throughout the year - the home had a hairdressing salon.
Staff are very helpful and polite. I am satisfied that my mother is safe and well looked after at Birch Park Care Home.
We are very pleased with Birch Park Care Home. My mum is very well looked after and is very content and relaxed. We have great comfort in knowing my mum is well cared for and safe.
Since my wife has been in Birch Park, she has settled in very well. She gets on well with the staff, carers and management, which are excellent. She is well looked after for all her needs, which is peace of mind for me and my family, and knowing she is safe and in good and professional hands.
Excellent, very happy.
All the staff are helpful on floor two and are always kind.
Birch Park have cared for my mum for over a year now and my mum is happy and settled. The staff are very caring and respectful to my mum. They attend to her needs very well. Management is very approachable and sorts out any issues that arise quickly. This gives peace of mind to know your views are listened to. Staff/ management keeps me well informed about my mum's care. The home itself is delightful and a lovely homely environment. Bedrooms are attractive and residents have access to lovely gardens. The home is scrupulously clean and well-maintained. The family recently gathered for a delicious afternoon tea, in one of the lounges, for my mum's birthday, which was lovely. I would highly recommend Birch Park to anyone and already have.
Mum has had such good care at Birch Park, they have been very proactive about dealing with her recent health and mobility issues and always keep us informed of her progress. It’s lovely to come and visit Mum because of the warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Excellent staff and carers looking after our mum that do a fantastic job they look after all of us top-quality care rooms are clean food is nice can not thank them enough for looking after mum thank you so much birch park
We were very disappointed with our stepfather’s care, as was he. I won’t go into the issues in detail here, as it’s only fair to take this up with the home directly, but suffice to say if we had the time again we would not choose this home. One thing that I can report, which has already been discussed with the home, was the poor quality of food, often served cold. In our daily chats, my stepfather reported lots of highly processed food and very rarely “freshly cooked, tasty food” as seen on the sample menu.
Dignity and care were the two key things I looked for when I moved my father to this excellent home. There is a feeling of a community whilst giving residents privacy too. Well managed home, caring staff who treat residents with great respect, good meals and a varied entertainment program. Highly recommended.
