Mum has been here just over one month. The improvement she has made is amazing. This is down to the brilliant and kind care she is getting. Braintree Mews Care Home is an incredible place.
After our mum, who was our dad's carer, passed away in October, my brother and I had to make the difficult decision to place our dad into a care home. We visited several care homes in the area. Braintree Mews was, by far, the best, looking more like a beautiful hotel than a care home. Our dad has settled in so much better than we could ever have expected and that is down to the staff and environment at Braintree Mews. The staff at Braintree Mews are fantastic and have gone above and beyond for our family. Their knowledge surrounding Alzheimer's is outstanding and we feel at ease leaving our dad in their more capable hands. There are daily activities which change each week, from in-house games/quizzes to outside companies coming in to entertain the residents. The activities allow interactions with other residents and staff. Family members are always welcome and encouraged to get involved if they can. The food is delicious and varied.
I couldn't praise the home enough. They have helped Mum to transition a difficult move enormously. The care and attention are wonderful and our family is very grateful to everyone. We always receive a warm reception when we arrive. All the staff are exceptional.
Overall I have really enjoyed my stay here. The staff have been lovely and helpful. The only issues I have had have been with the quality of the food.
My mother came to Braintree Mews Care Home for respite care. During this time, the whole team were so accommodating and empathetic. I do not live in the UK so it was important mum felt comfortable here. She has settled so well that we have decided to make her stay permanent.
Overall experience for my mother has been excellent. The staff are friendly and can't help enough. The care is over and beyond our expectations. We are so happy with Braintree Mews and my mother has settled very quickly.
Excellent all around. My dad had a good 2-week respite stay. Will certainly use it again.
My husband went in for respite while I went away for a weekend. He loved it, and I'm not sure he wanted to come home! The staff were lovely - everyone knew him, from the receptionist through the carers to the management team, and everyone chatted to him when they saw him. They also knew me when I went to visit him and always used my name, which was a lovely touch and made me feel that my husband was valued. The care he received was excellent, the food was lovely and he was engaged in the activities. I've already booked him in again for next year. The bedrooms and en-suites were lovely, very comfortable and well appointed with everything he could need.
Thank you for the excellent care my father received during his respite care. The support we received as a family was most welcome.
My mother had a short stay and was well looked after with all the carers taking an interest in her needs. No need or problem was an issue. The communication with relatives regarding any concerns was excellent.
Fabulous setting for my mother, with such wonderful and caring staff.
Upon entering Braintree Mews Care Home, I felt welcomed into the most palatial comfort. Customer service manager made the whole experience easier. No one envisaged this situation which is traumatic for all. My dad feels he has a purpose, he's valued. This home is a beautiful palatial palace for memory care and all the staff are wonderful.
My mum had two weeks respite care. Braintree Mews Care Home is a lovely building with great facilities and staff. They provided activities every day for the residents. I couldn't fault it but staff were a little light at weekends, that's the only negative, but the care home is new so that was to be expected.
My mother moved in February and smooth transition from her home to the mews made her and our life easy. We found the staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We now have peace of mind knowing that she is having the best of care.
Such a lovely home with wonderfully kind and caring staff. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the team who all work very hard and look after their residents extremely well. The home is newly opened and is more of a beautiful hotel with the benefit of carers to help with various individual needs. It certainly isn't like any other care home I have been to. It has a residential floor for those who may just need an extra helping hand but want to stay independent, a memory floor and a third floor too. All floors have their own dining, lounge and library facilities, all with beautiful furniture. The hairdressing and beauty salon are lovely, as are the cinema room, café area and private dining room, which all help to promote independence. The fabulous activity coordinators plan a variety of daily activities which the residents are welcome to join should they wish. This was a huge move for our family member but we are delighted that they have settled very well and are happy and thriving.
Mum had a lovely time at Braintree Mews Care Home. She enjoyed the activities on offer and said the food was good. She also likes socialising. The room was luxurious and very clean and she was generally looked after well. My only concern was that she was not wearing her hearing aids when I picked her up and they were in the charger the wrong way round, so had no power. Otherwise, a great service and the staff and management are all lovely.
Braintree Mews performed above and beyond expectations in every way. It is a hotel experience with carers!
I'm really pleased with the service and care received from Braintree Mews. They managed to move my mum and her partner in super quick and have looked after them really well. All the staff are lovely and the building is like a hotel. My mum seems to have settled in really well and I feel so relieved that she is being well looked after.
The staff are excellent, it's very clean. It feels like home. Everyone is polite. The food is excellent. Glad I came here and hope I can stay forever.
