View Full Details of Bramshott Grange Care HomeMy mum and dad have been residents at Bramshott Grange for over two years now. The initial communication and interactions with the home were professional and caring and this approach continues throughout their time there. Whilst Mum and Dad have very different challenges, Bramshott Grange staff sensitively and proactively address these, so that they can remain together. The care they receive by the dedicated and compassionate staff has meant that they have thrived at Bramshott Grange. They thoroughly enjoy the food, beautiful garden, stimulating activities and general day to day interactions within the Bramshott Grange community. It really feels like their home now and we feel blessed that they are there. As a family, we are reassured that they are in this special place, which allows them to enjoy their time together and with their family when we visit.
Thank you to absolutely everyone involved with Bramshott Grange for the amazing environment you have created. Everywhere is so clean and airy. My mother’s room is always impeccable. The corridors are wide, flat, straight and easy to navigate so my mother is walking much better than she was in the months before she arrived, and the carers have encouraged that. There is such a warm, friendly atmosphere with staff visibly present, kind and accessible. My mother can’t see well so some of the lovely activities are too difficult for her but she likes to sit with other residents in the communal areas every day, do the exercises when she has the energy, have her hair done, walk around the beautiful gardens, enjoy the visitors, dogs and people. My mother has also had excellent care from the nurses and carers when she has been ill and everyone is so good at keeping in touch, not least Bramshott’s wonderful family liaison coordinator.
I really could not wish for a better place for my parents to be cared for. The facilities are wonderful and staff friendly, caring and thoroughly professional. There is a fantastic range of events and activities. Any concerns are dealt with promptly and professionally, with excellent communication all of the time.
My family have been delighted with the care offered to both our parents who have been at Bramshott Grange for 2 years now. They are well cared for in all aspects of their lives and are looking happier and healthier. The staff are friendly, patient, respectful and sensitive in their social interactions and delivery of care. Lots of fun and creative activities and entertainment on offer and beautiful surroundings. The home is spotless, bright and airy with a feeling of optimism. The food is good and individual diets are catered for. We are very impressed with the inspirational management team who are approachable, efficient and friendly. The attention to detail and effort that goes into celebrating special events and personal milestones is so thoughtful. The medical team are lovely and keeps a close eye on ongoing medical concerns. We really feel they are in the best place and highly recommend this lovely home.
Finding a care home for your loved one is a challenging experience, particularly if your loved one doesn’t think they need to be looked after! Bramshott Grange Care Home offers high-quality care in a very comfortable environment, which gives any relative or friend complete confidence that their loved one is being looked after to a high standard. Of course, such care doesn’t come cheap but you would be hard-pressed to find anywhere in the locality substantially cheaper. It is almost inevitable that any care home environment will experience staff turnover but many of the staff at Bramshott Grange have been there since the home opened. This is particularly true of senior staff and management which ensures that a high standard of care is maintained on an ongoing basis. A resident’s experience is undoubtedly enhanced by having familiar care staff looking after them, who genuinely seem to care - later life can be significantly more bearable when surrounded by friendly and caring people.
Having looked at a number of homes, we were delighted to select Bramshott Grange for my stepmother who has been a resident for over 12 months. The facilities are clean and modern with the ambience of a hotel. The staff are so caring, respectful and empathetic to all the residents and supported her through the transition from independent living to her new environment. She enjoys keeping active, both physically and mentally, through the wide range of activities offered. We feel lucky to have found such a wonderful home.
My mum has been at Bramshott Grange since 28th February 2023. From the moment we first viewed the home with the wonderful Family Liaison Manager until today, the level of care and respect has been second to none. The staff are incredibly professional as well as having a good sense of humour and an ability to bring joy to all the residents. My mother has dementia and cancer and is currently being treated with palliative care. The peace of mind my family have knowing Mum is incredibly well looked after and her pain levels are being monitored closely, is such a comfort. Mum can be quite opinionated about many things and we just haven't had to worry that she is not being listened to or respected. Even the style - it feels more boutique hotel than care home and that is right up Mum's street. We can't recommend this home enough. So thank you to all the staff at Bramshott for the incredible job you do. The care, the joy, the humour, the food and the general feeling of warmth and cosiness is a blessing.
My mother has been a full-time resident at Bramshott Grange Care Home for eight months now. As a family, we are delighted with the high levels of care, empathetic and positive staff and the overall experience of day-to-day life my mother now enjoys. We have enormous respect for the staff there, many of whom we now know by name. The atmosphere is very positive and the activities team work extremely hard to ensure a balance of regular, stimulating projects to engage and entertain residents. We have recommended Bramshott to a number of friends and their families and are delighted that at least two have joined my mother happily there. I looked at twelve other homes before opting for Bramshott and cannot recommend it highly enough.
My mother was a resident at Bramshott Grange for nearly four years until she sadly died earlier this month (December 2023). My mother received exceptional care at the home in lovely surroundings. Her spacious room looking out over the well-kept garden was very comfortable and the house-keeping staff kept it spotless. The carers were all extremely kind and amazingly patient and very accommodating of my mother who liked things done in her own way! During her final days, the staff were amazing, and they cared for her with huge affection and sensitivity. At this time I spent many hours at the home outside my usual visiting times and the staff looked after me really well too. I can't thank everyone at Bramshott Grange enough for all the care given to my mother over a number of years and I am happy to recommend the home to any prospective residents or their relatives. I only hope that when/if it comes to me needing a care home I am lucky enough to find somewhere like Bramshott Grange.
After approximately six weeks in the hospital, it was such a relief to arrive at Bramshott Grange. Hotel-styled rooms, clean bathrooms, wonderful food, and caring staff. It was almost a total change in lifestyle. The icing on the cake was indeed the jacuzzi bath, heaven! A programme of daily events was always on hand, if one wanted to participate... or just relax in the library or one's room. The atmosphere and attentive care produced positive results, although slowly, ready to build on once home. Thank you all at Bramshott Grange!
My aunt moved to Bramshott Grange in November 2022 having fallen a few times at home. She is extremely independent with a keen interest in current affairs. She was reluctant to ‘give up her independence’ but, unfortunately, couldn’t manage at home on her own. She (and we) couldn’t ask for more from Bramshott Grange. Her beautiful room overlooking the garden is spacious, comfortable and light. The meals are delicious, and the nursing staff and care team (all of the staff) are incredibly kind, caring and thoughtful. My aunt, although reluctant initially, also enjoys and participates in the full and varied activities programme: from gentle exercises to films in the cinema room. The dining room, cinema room and library are all wonderfully welcoming spaces, and the sheltered garden is an absolute joy to walk in. Huge thanks to the manager and all in the nursing and care teams for all that you do. My only query is: when can I move in!
Our mother lived at Bramshott Grange for over four years, as one of the earliest residents of this beautifully modern care home. The room was large enough for her to keep many of her most treasured belongings, making it a real home-from-home. Her room overlooked the beautiful garden, which is exceptionally sheltered so that, even in winter, she could use her own garden door to get outside and enjoy the warmth of the sunshine. Family and friends were made to feel very welcome at Bramshott. There is a private dining room where she held a birthday lunch on several occasions. Our mother kept up her physical strength in the ‘Gym and Tonic’ exercise room, with professional help, included in the fees. This enabled her to retain much of her independence, despite being in a wheelchair. She became very fond of the staff and we were thankful that she did not have to move somewhere else to have end-of-life care, in which the staff were very experienced - this was so reassuring for us.
Deciding that Mum needed a care home was a really tough decision: but putting her into Bramshott Grange was definitely the right decision. Mum spent her last four years at Bramshott Grange and the staff gave her a happy, social and safe quality of life that she would not otherwise have enjoyed. Bramshott Grange felt like Mum's home, rather than her being in a care home. The staff warrant particular thanks for their great kindness and excellent care of Mum. They dealt with her increasing health needs with compassion, friendliness and good humour. The home offered a great range of social, craft and exercise activities. Residents are clearly treated as individuals and with dignity. Bramshott Grange itself is a modern, purpose-built care home, with flat access, wide corridors and a range of modern facilities. It includes a dining room, bar area, library, gym, cinema salon and walled garden.
Bramshott Grange is a lovely, clean and well-decorated home. The food looked delicious, and the rooms are great with good facilities, but Bramshott Grange is much more than just the building. The staff are awesome, and the feel of Bramshott Grange is warm, caring and positive. The decision for a relative to move into care was a hard one, especially as my relative was very independent. However, Bramshott Grange made the transition as easy as possible, and my relative settled in well. Initially, they were able to join in with all the various activities, of which there are many. Bramshott has amazing staff who understood our relative needs and personalities very quickly. As their needs grew, Bramshott quietly and competently dealt with every issue that arose. Nothing is too difficult for the staff, even through a pandemic/lockdown, and they just carry on with their happy, calm approach. I have been extremely impressed with the care and the end-of-life care our relative received at Bramshott.
Mum moved into Bramshott Grange at the beginning of 2022. It's a lovely environment - a modern purpose-built quality home set in well-maintained gardens. Across the team - from the handyman to the carers - they are all friendly, professional and welcoming. Great meals, regular entertainment and a good mix of activities help keep Mum active. Highlights for me are the sheltered courtyard overlooking the gardens - it's a pleasant, quiet place for a coffee, cake and chat with Mum during the summer. Also, the full afternoon tea and decorations were put on for our family in the private dining room to celebrate Mum's birthday. Would definitely recommend this residential home.
My 91-year-old mother, who suffers from Alzheimer's, has been a resident of the Bramshott Grange for the past year. The Bramshott Grange is an excellent care home. Being purpose-built gives it a huge advantage over many homes that have been adapted for care. The home has some really nice lounges, its own hairdressing salon, spa bathrooms, a cinema, a gym, a choice of restaurants, a bar/cafe, a private dining room for family gatherings and lovely gardens. The resident rooms are spacious, bright and well-equipped. Most residents bring some of their furniture and pictures and make it their own space. However, what makes the Bramshott Grange truly exceptional are the staff. Thoughtful, respectful, professional and above all else, very caring. Our overall experience of the Bramshott Grange has been excellent. So much so that it was the natural choice for another very elderly family member, who became a resident in October this year.
My Father-In-Law has had to move into Bramshot Grange as his health deteriorated. The home is a safe place for him and the care is excellent. My only gripe is that contacting the care home is often damned near impossible. We were unable to visit him on his 95th Birthday due to a positive covid test in the family so my wife tried on a number of occasions to speak to him on the phone. When the phone was finally answered she was told that they could not get through to the nurses upstairs but they would call back. After three attempts we eventually concluded the day having not been able to speak to him. Today we would like to visit him and we have to call and make an appointment first. Four calls so far and each has rung out. This level of communication is totally unacceptable.
My mother moved to Bramshott Grange in June 2020 after losing her husband to Covid. He had been her carer and she was now unable to live independently. It was a difficult decision for us especially with the challenges of lockdowns and restricted visits. However, Bramshott Grange proved to be the very best environment. She loved her garden room which was bright and sunny and was always very complimentary about the food. Above all, it was the staff who made her time there such a positive experience. It was only in the last weeks of her life when we were able to visit her daily could we meet and properly get to know the wonderful staff who had been her companions over the months. Their positive, professional attitude was reassuring but it was their genuine interest in her welfare, their nursing care, and the respect they demonstrated which was outstanding. The staff also supported and helped us during those final difficult days for which we are eternally thankful.
Our father lost his wife, then his mobility and subsequently some of his self-respect. At 90 years of age, what he found at Bramshott was a caring community of wonderful and professional caregivers who then became his friends over the 6 months he was there. And this was in the height of Covid. Bramshott allowed and encouraged his private room to become a home from home, decorated with familiar art and furniture from his house. He felt very secure, safe and cared for there. When he was able to he joined in at the dining hall and mingled, but when he turned 91 and that became too much of a challenge, the staff made him still feel at home by bringing him his food and cups of tea whenever he wanted. It was like a hotel with nurses. The facility is immaculately clean, well maintained and very Covid conscious. We had to be tested each and every time we went to visit. Bramshott made the last six months of my dad's life the very best it could be and for that, we are eternally grateful.
My father moved to Bramshott Grange in July 2021 after a sudden decline in his health. At the age of 92 it was important for us to know that he would be fully supported in the final months of his life, and also for my mum to not only know that he was receiving excellent care, but also be supported herself. The staff were kind and compassionate, always finding the time to have a chat with dad and I am sure that he lived longer than expected due to the care and stimulation that he received. The staff couldn't have been more thoughtful and respectful, and the whole family were made very welcome when they visited dad. He passed away peacefully in September and we knew that he was happy and comfortable in the final days of his life. I can't thank everyone at Bramshott Grange enough for making this a bearable time for us all. Mum is already making her plans to move in!
