View Full Details of Burscough ManorWhen my husband was admitted I was very upset. All the staff that day were so kind and understanding as the time he is there lengthens I have found everyone from the reception desk to all the hardworking caring staff as well as cleaners have shown empathy and kindness. I am so glad that Burscough Manor was recommended to our family.
My nan went into the care home, 2 weeks ago sadly losing her fight with cancer the staff were amazing, nothing was ever too much trouble couldn't ask for better people to take care of my nana. Sadly 7th Feb she lost her fight dying peacefully in her sleep, after the death of my nan, the staff were amazing with my mum they couldn't support her enough! And they supported my mum to the very end, I wouldn't recommend a better care home for my elderly person or someone who needs support living or around the clock care.
To the dedicated staff at Burscough Manor Care Home, we extend our deepest gratitude for the exceptional care and support you provided to our brother and uncle during his final years. From the warm welcomes at reception to the unwavering dignity and compassion shown in his daily care, you consistently exceeded our expectations. Your commitment to his happiness was evident in every interaction and we are truly grateful for the positive impact you had on his life. The level of care he received was truly five-star and we were always impressed by his clean, content and relaxed demeanor whenever we visited. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. With sincere appreciation.
My dad was neglected and failed by Burscough Manor! They didn't give the duty of care that was meant to be given. They ignored his needs, this made my dad's condition deteriorate and for me to take matters into my own hands! My dad then passed away! I would avoid this place. They are only interested in the money, nothing else! Please don't put your loved one in here! My dad was only in here for couple of weeks and didn't have the choice but had to come here because the hospital told us he had no choice!
I cannot praise highly enough the care given to my father at Burscough Manor. All of the staff, from the management down, create such a wonderful environment that it is like having the support of a second family. They made such a difference to both the life of my father and mother who visited daily. The attention, care and reverence we were given, as a family, is something we will always remember.
A dear family friend has used respite for a couple of years at Burscough Manor and is now a permanent resident. We are always so impressed with the care and kindness shown by staff to him and ourselves as visitors. Nothing is too much trouble and all staff are so friendly and welcoming. As a new build home, the facilities and layout are ideal and more like a luxury hotel than a nursing home.
I cannot praise the staff enough, everyone, from domestics to managers, is very professional. The rooms are bright and airy, all ensuite. The food is exceptional and the chef adjusts the menu to include residents' favourite foods. The activity staff also go above and beyond making days enjoyable, the activities coordinator is quite an asset. Carers have become friends and have listened to concerns or fears and given plenty of reassurance.
My father has been into Burscough Manor Nursing Home on several occasions for respite and both my father and all his family have always been really grateful and happy with the love and care shown to him. My father has decided to move into Burscough Manor permanently now because of this. The home itself is beautifully appointed and looked after, the staff from every department are superb and nothing is too much trouble. Both my dad, his family and I would highly recommend Burscough Manor Nursing Home.
Staff and management are so friendly and approachable, nothing is too much trouble. I have found excellent care of my mum, plenty of activities to occupy my mum during the normal working week, my mum enjoys taking part, going in the lovely garden area, meeting other residents in the home. My mum enjoys all of the meals, from breakfast to dinner. The quality of care is excellent from all the staff at the home. I have personally been involved with organising additional care for my mum with the management team always very helpful and willing to oblige any requests.
My grandad has been into Burscough Manor twice on respite now and absolutely loves Burscough Manor. The home is well staffed, has a great rapport with him, makes an effort to get to know the residents and always around checking if he needs anything. The manager is very attentive, clearly knows the residents and their families well and nothing is too much trouble. It's lovely knowing that from hospital he has somewhere safe to go where he gets some rest and recuperation, to build up strength before going home. The physiotherapist on-site is a brilliant bonus!
I am very happy with the care my brother receives, he has been in the home for twelve months. He loves the staff and has big smiles for certain ones. They never know when I call in, I can visit any time and I am very pleased to see my brother is well cared for. The meals are excellent and he enjoys them very much. They do assist him with feeding, he has to be wheelchaired into the lounge/dining room and they try to involve him in activities but he is not very good at joining in, he is quite happy to watch. I can't praise the staff enough for what they do for my brother, I know he is in the best place possible for his care. Thank you.
The home is very well-run, efficient and friendly, the food is excellent, homemade and hot, always fresh and wholesome. The staff are attentive and well-trained The room is always clean, tidy and the clothing is clean hung up. My wife is always clean, tidy and well looked after.
We are really pleased with the care Dad receives. Everyone is really caring towards him. The staff keep us well up to date with how Dad is doing. All the staff are really friendly and helpful.
My dad had a hospital appointment and I knew nothing about it nor did my mum. Apparently, he was having blood tests and other tests. I just think the family needs to know when a family member is going to the hospital for any kind of treatment; especially when it's a hospital in particular.
I found the service levels excellent in every department, from the manager through to the care and ancillary staff. Nothing was too much trouble and the atmosphere was very welcoming. I could relax knowing that my husband was being really well looked after and would have no hesitation in recommending Burscough Manor Care Home.
All the staff are very approachable, friendly and professional. Fully understanding of the individual and family needs and concerns.Feels more like a hotel (boutique) than a care home.Very inviting and fresh for visits alike.
My mother was recently admitted to Burscough Manor for respite care and physiotherapy following a fall that resulted in an unstable C1 spinal fracture. (She was supposed to be in hospital but they didn't have a bed available for her.) On the day she was admitted she was forced to sign a waiver stating she didn't want side frames on her bed, despite wanting (and probably needing) them to help her get in/out of bed. When she asked why she had to sign this, the response was "We don't have any bed frames". She has to wear a neck brace at all times, to keep her neck firmly in position and stop her fracture from getting worse: this collar needs to be examined/changed daily. In the two weeks she's been there her brace has only been changed three times was freely able to move. The food is awful. The choice being culinary delights such as 'a hot dog' or 'chicken nuggets' followed by jelly, which wouldn't pass muster in a prison. Avoid unless *major* quality improvements are made.
Very pleased with the level of service provided. All of the staff treat Dad with kindness and respect. He has a nice room with a garden patio area. He loves the food provided. At age ninety-three, he is in a much safe place than continuing to live independently.
The level of care from all the staff has been superb. Nothing has been too much trouble to ensure a comfortable and safe environment.
All staff are very pleasant and look after my husband well. He is reasonably settled into his routine but progress is much slower this time. Memory is very poor and trying to walk is wobbly, he has the odd "better" day but not at the stage where he was before being admitted to hospital. Speech is very limited and he seems unable to function by himself in any capacity.
