I visit nearly every day and find the staff very welcoming and helpful. My only reservation is the concentration of residents in the lounges since the closure of lounge 2, which makes it difficult to make conversation.
My mum has been in Carseld for a few years. She always seems well looked after. She is not mobile, but is helped up to be with other residents and staff. The staff seem very friendly, some of the staff I know quite well. Mum is well nourished, seems happy in her little world. She has never had any pressure sores to my knowledge. Staff keep me informed of mum's health, and contact me if I need to know anything. Mum seems content and interacts well with staff members. There are quite of lot of activities for residents who can participate .
The service and care rendered to my father was exceptional. He enjoyed the food and would be going back again. I would certainly recommend again. Enjoyed completing activities and family enjoyed visiting.
Overall the family is happy with the care provided. Most of the staff seem very friendly and caring. Some small items/attention to detail let the home down - staff come and go from Mum's room and leave the bed unmade, leaving dirty pots behind.
As a family we were very apprehensive about putting my Mum into care as she has been a very independent lady. But the care I have seen has been excellent and mum has really settled in and made some lovely friends. It's lovely to visit her and is always very smart and has started to wear her jewellery again. The staff are very friendly and Carseld is certainly home from home. This was the best decision and place for Mum. Thank you to all of you.
Home from home.
Great to see my nanna happy and cared for. Describes her stay as a home from home, and if she needed to be anywhere but home, it would be here.
From the moment Mum came to you to Mum leaving, your care of her and for her has been absolutely amazing. Thank you all. It took some time and quite a bit of encouragement but you also got Mum to come out of her room and join in on meal times with the occasional sit in a room too! Again, thank you! All of you are wonderful at your jobs, you all need a pay rise. I wish we could. Thank you.
I was very nervous about leaving my mum in respite care whilst I went on holiday. She was anxious but the staff were so kind and reassuring to her while she stayed there. In addition, they were never too busy to answer questions and reassure me and the rest of the family when we rung to check on her. Visitors were welcomed. The care home was very well-run, very clean and my mum said the food was nice. I'd definitely recommend this care home for both short-term and longer-term care. Thank you to the great team.
We can not thank the wonderful, caring staff enough for looking after our father and always being there for us. We were truly blessed to have found you and for him to live out his last five months with you. You are all amazing.
Mum moved into Carseld Care Home on the 1st December 2021 where she resided until she passed away recently on the 15th April 2023. During her stay, Mum was well cared for by all the staff. The feeling in the home was that it was home from home. All staff and manager were very friendly and welcoming always. I could visit Mum as and when I wanted. Nothing was an issue. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff for the love and care they gave to my mum.
The staff at Carseld Care Home were caring and kind to my mum, they offered support and kept me updated on her condition. My mum got on well with the staff and they offered my mum and my family support during the last days of her life. I would highly recommend Carseld.
My father resided at Carseld care home for approx ten weeks before passing. He was well cared for, and we were so lucky to have found such a caring, welcoming and friendly home. All staff and management were so accommodating to his needs and were always there to lend a listening ear. I can highly recommend Carself to anyone.
Thank you to the manager and the brilliant hardworking caring staff. As a family, we could not ask for a better standard of care and dignity. The open-door policy works very well and feel that if a problem should arise then this would be addressed quickly. Mum enjoys the activities and the homely meals. Carseld Care Home is a very happy place to visit and feel that is very family-friendly. We would not want Mum anywhere else as she has been welcomed into a happy environment.
A lovely caring home, would recommend. No complaints about the care, facilities or staff. Everyone is caring and treat the residents with respect. Plenty of activities and my mum loves living there. She frequently says she wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
My grandad has been in Carseld Care Home for a few months now and I am extremely happy with the care he is receiving. The staff are helpful, friendly and treat my grandad with respect and the care he needs. I wouldn't want my grandad to be anywhere else as he has settled quickly into the Carseld environment and is always happy and cheerful when I visit.
Visited today, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and Mum likes the food. The staff are very caring and patient towards the residents and visitors. The grounds are nicely kept and the views from the windows are countryside or garden. It is nice and peaceful usually and you can hear the birds singing and see the swifts nesting in the summer and there are seats and sunshades for the residents and visitors for the good weather when you can sit out. Some of the residents like to help with the garden and they have sunflower growing competitions. There are activities for the residents to partake in if they like, my mother likes particularly crafts and singalongs and my mother likes it when the children from a local school visit. It feels very secure with the front door monitored for comings and goings and the fire exits are alarmed. The parking can get a bit full particularly if the doctors and nurses are visiting too in the daytime.
This is Mum's second stay at Carseld Care Home. She has been here three years now due to her health. Every time we visit we are made welcome. Mum always tells us how happy she is and how wonderful the food is with lots of fresh vegetables! There is a lovely atmosphere at Carseld that makes it feel like a family home rather than a hotel or clinical space.
This is a wonderful care home. I prefer to call it the Carseld Family Home. All of the staff are excellent, kind, caring, and make every effort to meets Mum's sometimes complex needs. All done with a smile and a reassuring word. My mum was happy, safe, and well looked after. I can't recommend Carseld enough. A gold standard of care is on offer here. My heartfelt thanks to the Carseld Family.
Whilst my aunt was a member of the Carseld family she received exemplary care and support. She was settled, happy and very comfortable there. When I visited I was always made to feel welcome and was kept informed regarding any concerns or health problems. As a small home, they are able to treat residents as individuals and the care staff and home managers work very hard to look after residents really well.
