View Full Details of Cartref Croeso LtdI can't give enough praise for the quality of personal caring support my dad received. He stayed for 2 years and changed a lot over that time but adjustments were made to give him the care he needed. He had been a chef so really appreciated the quality of the food and especially the homemade cakes! I live a distance from home so relied on calling or talking to Dad over a video call, both were always easily arranged which I appreciated. Dad had a strong faith and wanted to log in to his twice-weekly meetings at the kingdom hall over a video call app which they happily sorted for him. During Dad's final days, we received caring support as a family. We stayed many hours with him and we were listened to, cared for, and at times fed. We couldn't have asked for more. As a family, we are very grateful for the hard caring work of all the staff who befriended Dad during his stay.
Leaving your loved one in residential care is very hard, especially when you have been their carer for 25 years. The anxiety and guilt we felt with her first placement was horrible. Then we found Cartref Croeso. Oh, what a difference! Right from the first invitation to come and have a look around we knew this place was special and over the past six months it’s only gotten better. The staff are so kind, things like doctors, district nurses and opticians are called in when required and the food is excellent. When we visit we are made so welcome, always a smile but also insightful reports so we are aware when things need discussing. It has allowed me to stop worrying and acknowledge that they provide the level of care that was getting beyond me.
My mum has been at Cartref Croeso for 4 years and in all that time my sister and I have been consistently awed and overwhelmed by the care, concern and attention to detail and comfort the staff have given our mum. It has surpassed any expectations and I cannot recommend it highly enough and find the words to express my gratitude that we found it. Thank you.
We (three daughters) made the incredibly difficult decision to move our 90-year-old mum from her own home to Cartref Croeso Care Home in August 2020 (middle of the Covid pandemic). The decision was difficult because Mum valued her independence and autonomy above everything and hoped to remain at home until she died. She had the beginnings of dementia and then suffered a small stroke which prompted action. Two and a half years later we cannot believe we found “her hotel with benefits”. The staff are absolutely amazing and feel like family. They have taken time to get to know her and us and always treat Mum with respect and kindness. They allow her the independence she needs yet are “quietly“ present to help her when the situation warrants. The home is warm, clean, inviting and welcoming. Mum has her own room with an ensuite and is surrounded by familiar objects, books and photos. I live in the USA and staff help me video chat with Mum regularly, keeping us close. I cannot recommend Cartref Croeso highly enough.
My mother has been a resident here since August 2020, she has had excellent care. Mum doesn’t like mixing much and the staff have been very accommodating, eating meals in her room etc. but encouraging her as well to mix when they think she’ll benefit. We all live quite far away but have been able to FaceTime and call her whenever we want. The manager and her team know Mum well now, they are all lovely and chatty, we weren’t sure what to expect when Mum arrived there two years ago but it has been a positive experience indeed.
What a wonderful, caring home, my mum has been here for over four years and we are so grateful and happy to have found it. It’s always beautiful and clean and my mum's room is so lovely, everything is kept to a fantastic standard. The staff are so kind and caring, they treat Mum like their own relative and clearly love and care about her. The way they speak to her and think about her needs is so reassuring for us. The food is always amazing and they do loads of fun activities, it’s like a family and we couldn’t be more happy with the care they provide and the environment in which Mum lives.
