View Full Details of Chilterns Court Care CentrePersonal care needs closer attention - dad not shaved properly, nails dirty. Reception staff excellent - always received with a smile and helpful. Carers really kind and helpful. It would be nice to have better linen + pillows (look shabby) Good family atmosphere + friendly Improvement in room - bowl used for teeth not washed.
Visited my friend and had a lovely visit. It was nice to be able to have lunch and a normal day with him. Loved the choir session.
My wife feels safe and her care at the home is better than I was able to achieve alone. The staff are welcoming, helpful and caring.
Generally very happy with the care my uncle has been given at Chiltern Court. Both care staff and carers have been excellent, cannot fault their dedication. The home as a whole is clean, bright and homely. Entertainment seems good although my uncle is bedridden so N/A to us. The only complaint is that the quality of the food has been commented on often by my uncle and admittedly we did have a meal there once and it was not good. Quantity and quality of ingredients not an issue - just not appetizing.
Consistently good care given to my Aunt by staff. Facilities excellent as well as opportunity for activities.
Pleasant, staff in Tulip very helpful and friendly my wife is looked after very well.
My mothers care has been excellent. All the carers are kind and well trained. The activities are very varied and mum enjoys participating. The food is good and has a varied menu and snacks can be ordered for in between meals if required. All the staff in the difference areas are pleasant including, the domestic staff, receptionists, the management team, kitchen staff, activity team and caretaker.
A well-located and respected care home with a good reputation made Chilterns Court Care Centre our choice for a two-week respite stay. We were made very welcome and were impressed with the facilities within the building and with the care received.
I am the responsible adult for a gentleman who is a residential client due to mobility and additional issues. He has settled into Chilterns Court very well and is appreciative of the excellent care he receives from the entire staff, as do I. The atmosphere is very welcoming noted by not only myself and my dear friend but from friends who have been to visit him. It really is a lovely care home for exceeding our expectations. Thanks to all concerned.
A very good atmosphere in the home. Very good staff, which is the most important thing. Nicely furnished throughout. Kept very clean. Food looks very enticing. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. Good nursing care by lovely people.
We have been very happy with all aspects of the care at Chilterns Court. All the staff are always happy and upbeat. It must be a difficult job looking after so many people with very different requirements. Especially happy with the daytime activities and entertainment.
Someone could show resident their TV or radio on a daily basis to encourage them to fill their time. If a carer could take the resident out for short walks. A daily break out of Chilterns Court would be beneficial ie the river. Maybe advertise for someone with spare time to come in and engage with residents. Encourage dog owners to bring their pets in.
My mother has been at Chiltern Court for nearly 4 years; during this time any little concerns that I have had have been addressed straight away, which is great. The staff have always treated me kindly and with respect. I always feel welcome when I visit. I do however, sometimes bring Mum's clothes home to wash and often find other people's clothes in her wardrobe! I think there is room for improvement in housekeeping. Overall a great team. The activities are absolutely brilliant and we are kept up to date with all events. Well done everyone!
My husband was in Chilterns Court for three months until his death. He was so well cared for. The team at the home are exceptional in all departments. He improved medically and to my surprise joined in activities (wonderful entertainment organiser). He died suddenly and I will always be grateful that we had a happy last few months.
Excellent - we were so impressed by everyone at Chilterns Court and the care they gave my father. It's a friendly, happy environment with a team of caring staff who make an effort to make new residents and their relatives feel welcome, valued, and involved. We all appreciated the effort given to tailor activities to individuals like my father who would never normally want to participate. We were apprehensive when we decided he needed to live somewhere with facilities to help him maintain his dignity but we couldn't have been more impressed. We were all so pleased he settled in so well and was very content giving him a new lease of life for his final months. It's a very special place and we would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to care for their loved one.
My mother who was on respite for two weeks is fully disabled. She had been sitting in a soiled nappy for hours. I rang her at 10.16 in the morning, and at 2.30 when I got there she was still sitting in the same soiled nappy. The lady lied to my face telling me that she wrote in the book that she had changed her at 11 am. This is the 2nd floor, mum was told off and told by the same nurse to stop calling them. They don’t do one-to-one care. After she had been sick making her feel like a burden. Some of the staff are very good, but some most definitely are not. This place should be investigated. My mum told me that she had taken the nappies I had brought for her and used them on another patient. Mum had been taken to the hospital because of sickness, diarrhoea and low oxygen levels. My mother hasn’t got dementia so knows what is going on.
I felt that my mother was treated with kindness, respect and dignity. She came back home 'whole' which hasn't always been the case when she has needed respite care. The facilities and home were clean, friendly, warm and welcoming and the staff were wonderful and understanding. We as a family are grateful and would recommend to others.
My 92 year old mother is being looked after with love and attention. She has dementia. I'm very impressed with the level of care and attention to detail, across all the staff. She has settled in well and seems quite content. It's a huge relief!
My uncle became a permanent resident at Chilterns Court following a period there for respite after a stay in hospital two years ago. He is hoisted from his bed to a specialist wheelchair enabling him to leave his room. He has limited movement and therefore socialising is most important. I would say that activities have been poor but understand this is about to change having met the newly appointed activities person. Laundry is rather random, my uncle has plenty of clothes, all named but as an example, there were few socks in the drawer this week and he was wearing odd ones! A few items have appeared which are not his so improvements could be made. However, most importantly, I feel totally reassured he is receiving the best care possible due to the kindness of all the staff who make for a happy, relaxed and friendly environment. At present his health issues ar stable and he appears quite happy and content. My thanks to all.
I cannot speak more highly of all the staff I encountered during my stay at Chilterns Court Care Centre, Bluebell ward. They were caring, cheerful and always ready to help which certainly enabled my recovery. My room was attractively furnished and overlooked te pleasant courtyard garden. Sincere thanks to everyone.
