Very efficient staff, always cheerful and competent. Good atmosphere, very friendly and welcoming. All nursing care needs met with exceptional high standards. Very pleased and grateful to be welcomed into the home and treated so well. Lovely team and felt part of a family.
From the moment we entered the building we were greeted with smiles, everyone is friendly and helpful. The care staff are excellent and look after my mother in law with respect and dignity. We know she is safe and being looked after. All the staff at Cooksons are friendly and work hard. It is an excellent nursing home.
We've just celebrated my mothers third Christmas within Cooksons Court. Another year of simply excellent care. Their approach is that Cooksons is not a workplace, but a home for the residents who live there, and this really shows in the personal touches and kindness of the staff. As a family, we cannot thank the team here at Cooksons enough. We see the carers and nurses everyday, but cannot underestimate the work of everyone from the admin team (who keep the wheels turning) through to the cleaners (who keep such incredible standards) in keeping our mothers home so safe and secure. All would agree, we'd rather be in our own homes in our later years. But, as someone who sees the hard work, kindness and care of the people running Cooksons, I would choose this home for myself if I couldn't be in my own.
All the staff on Pippin floor were polite and friendly and nothing was too much trouble to make my stay comfortable. The staff were outstanding, especially the physios who actively encouraged me to undertake physio exercises to improve all aspects of my mobility and get me back on my feet and getting my independence back. I was always treated with dignity and respect in all aspects of my care.
I would just like to congratulate the whole team at Cooksons Court, for their everyday commitment to providing a first class service. This is from the receptionists, through the admin and management team, the nursing staff, the catering team, events staff, cleaners and by no means least, the carers. My father has been well looked after by all involved and has said on numerous occasions, how much he enjoys it there and is very appreciative of the help he has been given. It is also very reassuring for my brother and I, as well as the rest of dad's family and friends, to know he is being cared for and looked after, by such a great team of people.
Cooksons Court provided me with enough privacy and company to aid my recovery. I had really good input from the physios and occupational therapists, as well as nurses. It was lovely being allowed to have my pet black Labrador visit as well as lots of my friends. The food was delicious and it was pleasant being able to sit at the dining room for lunches.
After coming from the hospital, I could not have been more impressed by the care I received at Cooksons Court. The helpfulness of the staff was of such a high standard. No one ever liked to spend time in healthcare but it is a home-from-home at Cooksons Court. Thank you.
Our Dad has spent several months stuck in hospital because he needed mobility rehabilitation in order to get home. During the hospital stay, he had declined mentally and physically. Largely due to the stressful environment, he was thrown into. Cooksons Court was like a peaceful haven. Instantly he relaxed and his overall well-being improved. He was able to make progress with it in order to successfully return home.
I could not ask for anything more than the care I receive, as you can by my ratings.
My Mother received fantastic care at Cooksons Court. She was very happy with Pippin Ward and was sad to leave. Every member of staff was so kind and caring to her and also our family. We could relax and know she was fine and happy. Huge thanks to them all.
Staff were generally very helpful. The call button needs at all times to be worn around the neck, at times it was left close by but not reachable. Food at times could have been hotter. Bed comfortable. Exercise again was helpful, more perhaps required regularly. The occupational and physio staff were all very good and kept me informed of what was happening.
I am very impressed by the standard of accommodation, the care provided to my wife, and the professional medical care provided to my beloved partner. For the first time in many years I have begun to have some confidence and hope for an improvement in my wife's welfare and physical improvement. Prior to hospital the service and support had been unsatisfactory. Could I suggest that attention is paid to personal effects including clothing; items sometimes go missing or other residents' effects turn up.
Professional care with kindness and compassion for my mother. Very helpful staff and cleanliness excellent. Food was very limited, more variety needed especially with evening meals.
The care and support my mother has received from everyone at Cooksons Court has been without exception excellent. The staff make every effort to ensure my mother's needs are fully catered for.
Physico and care night and day all excellent. All friendly and helpful.
Everyone has been so kind and helpful. No complaints whatsoever. I would recommend Cooksons Court to any of my friends who needed help. Thank you so much for my break, especially over Christmas, it has been a great help. What would we do without the help you provide? Thank you so much. With all my love.
Where to start? My wife spent the last months of her life here. The staff are absolutely amazing, I feel that they welcomed my wife and treated her as their family, she was loved and looked after in an amazing way from start to finish, as like myself and all other visitors. I really cant thank them enough, so supportive and helpful, kept us all informed of day to day changes all the time, more importantly showed my wife love and care. No words can ever express how amazing the staff are, even down to the cleaners, thank you so much.
My mum has been living at Cooksons Court for nearly 5 years and sees this very much as her home - somewhere to continue living her life and not just a 'care home.' The staff are amazing across the board - always a smile, always there for the little things as well as the big things. It's difficult trusting others to look after your loved ones on a day to day basis when you're not able to, however when we leave Mum we do so knowing she's happy and cared for.
Staff at Cooksons Court are extremely helpful. Although my mother at the age of 103 is unable to offer any conversation, she is always shown the utmost kindness, warmth and help to whoever attends to her. Her communication with the carers is through her great sense of humour, so laughter is always present. I always leave Cooksons with a great sense of comfort knowing she is so well cared for.
Good.
