View Full Details of Glebe FarmA lovely setting with lots of space around. The staff are all extremely friendly and there is always a good atmosphere around. We celebrated our son's birthday and Glebe Farm had made a fantastic effort with decorations, banners, balloons and made us very welcome.
Our son moved into Glebe Farm in November 2020 in the middle of the pandemic which made the separation even more traumatic for us all. The managers and staff were considerate and supportive from the start. Our son soon settled to various garden and maintenance projects, immediately seeing himself indispensable to the staff! His complex epilepsy is well managed and monitored. In fact, any incidents and occurrences have continually been dealt with sensitively. We are kept well informed and are welcome to call or visit at any time, which is extremely reassuring. Since the lifting of restrictions, our son has been able to resume his local voluntary community work, which he loves and is supported to continue. Our relationship with his support staff has always reassured us that they have his best interest at heart and that they listen to him. His transition from home into supported living has been more successful than we ever could have anticipated.
A really wonderful place for residents. The site is beautiful and really calming. The farm is a wonderful idea for the residents and encourages them to get involved. Perhaps there will be some additions of new animals?
Huge strides since new resident-led management - rather than staff centred! My experience as a mother that visits every 3/4 weeks is that care is resident-centred and needs tailored. Communication through all levels is continuing to improve. The staff that spend many hours with the residents often know them best and this resource needs to be valued and knowledge shared in training and induction of new staff. Well done Glebe for providing a much-improved service and care.
Myself and my partner had a visit to Glebe Farm to look around to see if it would be suitable for my son to live. We were amazed at how lovely the house was. My son has now been living there for just over 3 weeks. He loves the staff and they are doing a fantastic job. I'm so relieved. I couldn't ask for a better place. I ring every day to see how he's doing and there's always a member of the nursing team take my call. Superb communication and they cover everything. I'm so happy that my son is happy, and having good days. Yes, there's going to be good days and bad, like there is for us all... but the staff at Glebe Farm have managed these days. I must say I'm grateful for this. I appreciate all your help and hard work. Outstanding! You all interact and give him plenty of attention 24/7. You all deserve a medal.
My son is happy, he loves his own space, which he arranges as he wants, and he is treated with care and dignity as a normal adult. The staff are confident to have a laugh and a joke with him, which he very much enjoys. His medical needs are well monitored and reviewed as necessary. The managers and staff at the home have been very creative in keeping as stimulating an environment as possible throughout the challenging period of lockdown. They have provided activities within the home, where there are good-sized grounds and animals on-site to look after, and communal activities such as barbeques to enjoy as a group of young adults.
