View Full Details of Glenview Nursing HomeMum is so happy with the care she receives. Has taken the stress and pressure off of us knowing she is so well looked after. If any issues do arise they are quickly sorted with no problem. Overall very happy with all the staff and management, thank you!
It was very friendly and caring. The bedroom was clean and well fitted with a large en suite shower room. The nursing care was carried out well and all medication was managed with good liaison with GP. The care staff took pride in their jobs and were really nice and treated mum well, she made some friends. The lounge was large and light with an outside patio area, nice environment. There were activities daily including quizzes and picnics out. Food seemed OK but mum did complain it was often cold. Plenty of snacks during the day which was good.
Over an extended period, the fantastic staff at Glenview Nursing Home have cheerfully helped my mother cope with changing needs and are thoughtful and kind. The manager is really professional and kind - and has also helped a very great deal in finding financial support. The activity leader is really talented and energetic in engaging with individuals and groups and the staff understand and help care for my mum in a really helpful and supportive way.
Thank you to all staff for your care and concern for my mother over more than a year now. We really do appreciate your knowledge of her individual needs. The regular weekly visits from the GP have been excellent in resolving issues. Also thank you very much to the manager for all your help with the very difficult process of getting financial support.
Would just like to thank the manager and staff for all their care and support to both my late husband and myself. The staff were always very friendly and helpful. The home was always spotless and I know that my husband was taken good care of. The doctor was called if any problems. The manager was always very supportive and attended my husband's funeral.
As a family of one brother and three girls, we have had nothing but positivity from the staff. Mum is very happy and is always clean and tidy. They are very supportive of us if we have a bad visit with her as she can be quite stubborn. The home is very clean and seems happy there. The manager is very helpful when we need to know things as a family; we gave nothing but praise to the staff.
Since my brother has been in the home, everyone has been very kind and goes out of their way to help if there is a problem. My brother has now settled in very well and has been made to feel that it is now home to him. The transition was not easy for him.
The management and staff at Glenview are, without exception, dedicated, professional and caring health care workers. During the tricky Covid time, they could not have been more helpful to me and my family during Dad's stay. I will forever be in their debt for the kind and patient way they treated my father. Thank you all very much - you are wonderful people. We would thoroughly recommend Glenview.
Mum was moved to Glenview on December 31st 2021, the whole staff have made her very welcome. Shortly after the home went into lockdown they kept me informed on how Mum was doing as I am her main carer and when it was safe to visit, I could go in and see her in her room. Now the home is open my sisters and I share the visits and one of us sees her every day. Over the last 9 months, the whole family have all commented on how well Mum is cared for. All the staff are very attentive and are always willing to help the residents. None of my family has seen anything to raise any concerns about to the staff. We all find the staff and management very helpful and they keep me informed about Mum's wellbeing at any time of day.
I have found that the management at Glenview Nursing Home has given all the support they could, providing one-to-one care for Mum at their expense until social services could organise proper funding. Mum's dementia has progressed rapidly, giving them a lot of problems. NHS dementia wellbeing services have told me that Mum is in one of the best places for her care. I was struggling to obtain an early assessment for Mum's dementia, the manager at Glenview stepped in and insisted that Mum's dementia and needs needed reassessing, with the help of his nursing staff who, during a video call with social services and NHS, had all the right answers, clearly to me all the right procedures had been followed. Mum now has continuous health care. I cannot thank Glenview enough for all their help with Mum.
I cannot fault Glenview Nursing Home. They have looked after my mother very well since she was admitted in December 2021. All staff and management are very good. They make you feel very welcome. My mum is treated by all staff very well and they are always on hand to answer any questions I might have.
The level of care my father received was fantastic; we were confident that he was well looked after and staff were very quick to respond to any issues which did come up. As a family, we were incredibly well supported when visiting Dad and when Dad eventually passed away and the manager and a member of the nursing team attended his funeral and have checked in to see how my mum is doing.
My husband was a resident in Glenview Nursing Home from January 2020 to May 2022 when he died very peacefully. His care in the last 18 months was wonderful. He needed a very high level of care during that time. The manager, senior nursing staff and the care staff always treated him with great care and dignity. The manager always listened to any concerns we had and these were always addressed. The food was always of high quality. The weekly visits from the GP practice, as well as extra visits when needed always gave reassurance. The care that I and my sons and daughter received from the staff was greatly appreciated. In the last few days of my husband's life, we were supported throughout by the staff and my daughter and I were able to stay the night comfortably on his last night. We were glad that we had chosen Glenview for his care.
I cannot fault the experience I had with Glenview. Caring staff/management and nothing was too much trouble. There is a lovely atmosphere in the home. I always felt my father was in safe hands. Thank you to all the staff from my family.
By and large, my experience was satisfactory! However, some of the staff were too rigid and meal times were too fixed. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful and if some residents were making too much of a nuisance of themselves they were given one or two dedicated staff members to control them. Contact with the outside world was very limited and there was not enough activities to occupy residents although I appreciate that the health situation accounts largely for this!
I visited to ensure my Aunt would be properly cared for - she was. She was clean and she was happy - she said she liked it there, and the nurses and staff took good care of her. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the whole of the property and no smells! I was impressed with all the notes made about the care of my Aunt and the fact that recommendations for her had been carried out. Since visiting, the lockdown has made it impossible to visit, but I am kept up to date of her care and her progress. So pleased to hear she had put on weight - nothing seems too much trouble, so yes I would recommend.
Staff are amazing, they do a great job for my mum and looking after her.
My sister has been extremely difficult at times but has received very good care and support during her stay.
First, visit after COVID 19 and first since my stepdad moved to Glenview. I was very impressed with the information regarding our visit and the way it was handled on the day. Every member of staff we had contact with, reception, office and care workers would not have been more helpful, friendly and professional. My stepdad was quite relaxed and seemed to have a good rapport with the staff.
Very pleased with the all-round care that my mum is receiving. Staff are always around to help her. My mother seems much happier and looks so much better. Her room is always clean and tidy.
