View Full Details of Goldwell ManorAfter much soul searching, we made the decision that mum needed more care than we could provide for her. Just over a year ago, with extensive research, we moved her into Goldwell Manor and from that moment, we relaxed in the knowledge that she was being cared for by staff who always put residents' needs first and foremost. From reception to maintenance and floor staff, we are always met with smiles and positivity, and mum is always clean, happy and cared for. There are always a good range of activities (again run by caring and dedicated staff members) which suits mum as she is always one for being around people and joining in with whatever is going on. Her room is beautifully kept and whenever we visit, there is always a buzz around the building, and it is obvious that the high standards we see aren't achieved without a lot of hard work. I would not hesitate to recommend Goldwell Manor to anyone looking for peace of mind.
I want to acknowledge the exceptional care provided to my mum, during her stay at Goldwell Manor Care Home. The staff were compassionate, kind and attentive to her every need and also to her family. The quality of care was outstanding and I felt confident that she was in good hands. I would highly recommend Goldwell Manor to anyone looking for a caring and supportive environment for their loved one especially if dementia care is required.
Mum has been at Goldwell Manor since 22nd January. It was a very difficult decision as I never anticipated that either of my parents would ever be in a care home. However this is more than a care home. It is 5* assisted living with carers that treat the residents as part of the family. It is very early days but mum seems settled and thinks everyone is lovely. All the residents appear to be treated with dignity and respect.
We are delighted with the care Mum has received over the last 18 months. The last week has been difficult for everyone, but the staff have been excellent, and we couldn't wish for better care. Thanks for everything you do.
My sister moved in here due to the closure of a council-run care home. The difference between the two care homes is like chalk and cheese, this establishment is more like a hotel! It is warm and welcoming and staff are really friendly. All of her needs are met in full (she is mentally and physically disabled). She has said how much happier she is here, and it shows as she now has a permanent smile on her face whenever I see her. The food menu offers a wide variety and choices for all meals. There are various activities that she is able to join in with if she wishes. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this care home.
The environment at Goldwell Manor home is filled with warmth and understanding, creating a warm, safe and nurturing space for residents. The way they tailor their care to meet the unique needs of each individual. It's evident that Goldwell Manor goes above and beyond to ensure that residents feel comfortable, valued and respected. Conclusion - Goldwell Manor stands out as a beacon of excellence in dementia care. The dedication and compassion displayed by the staff make the home truly amazing.
What can I say about Goldwell Manor that hasn't been said dozens of times I'm sure? From the minute you enter the building you are met with friendly, smiling faces. The atmosphere is special. I am confident in the knowledge that my sister is being cared for very well. My brother was only there for a short time but the care and kindness he and I received was second to none.
Fantastic care home, clean and immaculately decorated. This is by far the most perfect home we looked at when considering where to move Mum to. The staff are friendly and caring and treat Mum with such kindness, perfect as she is very special to us. Thank you to everyone for everything, including being extremely approachable when I need to discuss things.
Goodwell Manor is excellent in every way. The atmosphere is calm and the environment is conducive to quality living. The staff are caring and client-focused providing excellent care in every way. I am so glad I chose Goldwell for mum.
I and my family all thank the staff at Goldwell Manor do a fantastic job in the care of my mum. Mum loves being here and loves everything the staff do to make her happy. 100% fantastic service. Please give the staff a pay rise.
My mum moved into Goldwell Manor on the 24th July. It is wonderful! The Manager has been so welcoming and all the staff are marvellous. My mum has been on her own for the last 7 years and has deteriorated sadly over the last year. My mum did not want to go in but I now have total peace of mind that she is in the best possible place. She loves the food (she wasn't eating much before she went in). She now has her hair, nails and feet done on a regular basis and is being looked after so well. I know there are activities but I am not sure if she has participated in many of them so far. From the moment I walk in I am greeted by a lovely, friendly receptionist and it makes me feel special before I even see my mum. I would highly recommend Goldwell Manor.
Amazing facilities. Great, friendly and effective staff. Superb support for my father in his last weeks of life, and my mother is safe and well cared for if not a little unhappy (not due to anything related to Goldwell or staff!). Staff are improving at ensuring Mum is stimulated, encouraged to be active and is supported during meals. A lovely place.
We have been extremely happy with all the care, compassion and overall efficiency of Goldwell Manor, over the last 10 months. My mother moved into Goldwell Manor in July 2023 after being discharged from hospital, recovering from pneumonia and with 2 broken legs. The care given by the home was exemplary. The caring way my mum was integrated into her new home was amazing. Our family celebrated Mum's 100th birthday at the home and they certainly helped to make the day a very happy and memorable occasion. Mum is now very settled and happy at Goldwell Manor. We can now rest assured that she is looked after with all the care and attention we could possibly ask for.
I have visited a number of times in the last year and each time I have been very impressed with the whole experience. Fabulous first impressions. Wonderful environment beautifully decorated to a very high standard and beautifully furnished. Like a five-star hotel. High standard cleanliness. No odours! Staff always interacting with residents. Respectful and professional/friendly. I once asked for my friend's cup of tea to be reheated as gone cold. The staff offered to make a fresh one! Great activities. Residents clean, well-dressed, happy.
The general manager could not have been more attentive or sympathetic to the needs of both our mum and our family in managing the move into Goldwell Manor. We are really grateful to the general manager and the care manager for their help, advice, and patience. Staff have been so kind and considerate in helping Mum with this adjustment. Her cosy room has touches of home, and there is a lovely, friendly atmosphere in the light and pleasant third floor sitting room. While familiarisation to a new environment for a person with dementia takes time, Mum is enjoying the meals, and the entertainment programme. My sister's dog is a regular and welcome visitor, and we are glad to be included in the community feel at Goldwell Manor. Thank you to all the friendly and welcoming staff.
We as a family are more than happy with Mum's care, being new with the happenings in a care home we didn't know what to expect, you have been very accommodating with all our questions and have been very kind to our mum especially as she didn't want to go into a care home, she has in our opinion got better at walking with the aid of a walker. We can't say Mum is happy yet but we hope she will settle in and call it home. All the staff are a credit to the care home.
Just want to say thank you for the amazing support all the carers give me on the 1st floor, your support means the world to me couldn’t get through this terrible disease without you all. Mum is so lucky to be here at Goldwell Manor. Thank you.
Our experience at Goldwell Manor has been excellent. Mum was unsure when she first arrived but the staff have been very supportive and helped her settle. Nothing has been too much trouble. Family and friends are always made very welcome. Facilities are first class.
Fantastic care and service within an amazing environment. All the staff are friendly and very kind. They have gone above and beyond in making sure my grandad is comfortable and happy. They have taken extra care to ensure he gets the right food and are helping him to move out of his bed into a chair. I would highly recommend this home!
Goldwell Manor is not only aesthetically beautiful, welcoming and clean but every member of the team have been absolutely fantastic in caring for my parents. From the front of house, catering, lifestyle, maintenance, cleaning and the wonderful care team. The fact that everyone knows us as a family and as individuals and truly cares makes a huge difference. I could name everyone individually and thank them for how they go over and above not only for my family but for us visiting (even giving biscuits to my parent's visiting dog and so many little touches) and being in and around Goldwell regularly, it’s not a one-off, it’s how it always is. I cannot recommend and thank everyone enough for what they do on a daily basis-Goldwell really is the best!
