Mum and Dad both moved to Greenan Manor in the summer, having been cared for at home and recent hospital stays. Dad has advanced dementia and Mum had a diagnosis of cancer. We wanted the time they had left together to be as stress-free and comfortable as possible and to prepare for the change to come. The staff are all amazing, the specialist care is all we hoped for and they were so supportive of us through this testing time. Mum died in September, exactly as she wished - at home in Greenan Manor, the care she received was amazing, working with Ayrshire Hospice staff to advise was also great for specialist support. Mum could relax as Dad was surrounded by friends and great staff. It gave us all comfort that Mum was able to see Dad settled. They had complex and different needs and Greena Manor could care for both, taking input from other agencies and medics shows how much they care. They listen and respond and have supported us through this continuing to help Dad as his condition progresses with respect and dignity.
My father spent the last year of his life at Greenan Manor Care Home. The standard of care can only be described as exemplary. All staff went above and beyond to provide loving care for which I am eternally grateful.
My father spent 1 week respite care here, I found the staff very caring and professional, my father enjoyed his stay. The surroundings and decor are just beautiful, staff very approachable and pleasant.
We were really impressed with the professionalism, the high standard of care, and the friendliness of all of the staff. My father received excellent care and it meant that he spent his last few months well looked after and in comfort. My family includes medical professionals who visited frequently and who commented on how good was the standard of care. I appreciated the friendliness of all the staff we met and saw first-hand how well they interacted with the residents even in more challenging moments. The quality of the facility helped to make it a positive experience for my father and for all of us who were able to spend time with him. The home was always really clean, fresh and light. Thank you to all the staff.
My mother had excellent, kind and loving care in a beautiful environment. Exemplary standards in all respects. I would highly recommend Greenan Manor to anyone looking for personal care, nursing care or palliative care. My mum had all 3 and both she and her family were more than happy with everything.
Greenan Manor is an excellent care home which provides not only a beautiful location and accommodation but excellent care for my father. When visiting every week we are greeted by friendly and welcoming staff. The staff are professional and provide a high standard of care tailored made to meet the care needs of my father.
Visited my friend a few times recently whilst I was here on a trip and Greenan Manor is a beautiful, modern home. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and how well kept the home is. The en-suite bedroom was clean and comfy and my friend is able to have all her photos and trinkets on display. The cafe is a super area to socialise and have a coffee with loved ones. I’m glad this facility is available for visitors to use. All staff were friendly and welcoming.
Greenan Manor is a beautiful care home in an outstanding location with views over Arran. It is spotlessly clean, and staffed by a team of kind, caring, professional staff, who treat residents and their families with politeness and respect. There is a varied daily menu and food and presentation is of a very high quality. Communication with families is outstanding. There is a hard working activities team who organise daily activities and regular outings to suit all residents.
Greenan Manor is a home away from home. The staff provided a high level of care, tailored beautifully to the specific needs of my father. The staff were outstanding, always friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The environment was always calm, quiet and serene. The facilities were first-class, modern and spacious. Communication was excellent, we were always updated about what was happening with and for my father. I have visited many care homes but Greenan Manor stands above others in the local area.
I came to Greenan Manor in June 2022 and it is great. It's a nice place and the staff are helpful. The food is good and there is always a fantastic choice. I love the selection of cakes available every day in the cafe. The home is always spotless and the staff will always go out of their way to help me.
Friendly and familiar staff. Lovely food and plenty of it. Lots of activities on and opportunities to socialise.
We were treated with respect. We are both in our 90s and it was good to be away from home for this short break. Our thanks to all the staff.
All the staff seem very friendly, it all looks very clean and cared for. The resident areas look very welcoming. The bedroom looks very clean and tidy.
Greenan Manor has exceeded my expectations in terms of the speed with which Mum settled in. The staff have been brilliant and no stone is left unturned in terms of finding the medication that works for her, food to tempt her and keeping me informed of her progress. The food looks delicious and the home is beautiful. However, it is the nursing and care staff that have undoubtedly been the greatest asset in Mum's transition.
I really cannot fault Greenan Manor. The staff I meet when visiting my mother are always polite, friendly and professional. My mother has told me the food for breakfast, lunch and dinner is superb with different choices every day and the standard of care she receives is second to none. The location of the care home is just wonderful overlooking the whole of the bay. The cleanliness of the reception area, corridors, cafes and dining rooms is just perfect.
Greenan Manor is a beautiful home from home, spotlessly clean and well maintained. Being custom-built, the rooms are spacious and have ensuite wet rooms. My mum has been living there for 6 months and her care has been outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, who have not only welcomed Mum into the home but have also made us as a family feel like part of their community. The activities for the residents are varied and inclusive, and the choice of meals is good. I can't speak highly enough of the staff who are all so very kind and attentive.
Greenan Manor is a most impressive establishment. Staffed by carers and administrators who have been accordingly kind and attentive to my needs and difficulties, always willing to resolve any problems to my satisfaction. The residents have been welcoming and cheerful, and I have enjoyed participating in the activities with them and the care team.
My aunt has been in Greenan Manor for six weeks respite. She settled in very quickly and has no complaints about anything. The staff are friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much bother. The clients are encouraged to join in the daily activities of which there is a wide variety of choices. Greenan has a very homely feel to it. Extremely happy with all aspects of care given.
On the whole, we have had a positive impression and experience from Greenan Manor. However, my mum cannot walk unaided and has often said she feels forgotten, especially when she was in isolation e.g. last to be taken to the dining room or not taken along for activities. Activities often seem not to take place, staff seem very busy/short-staffed with little time to actually spend with residents. The standard of nursing care has been very good. Communication of visiting rules is sometimes difficult.
Beautifully furnished home in a lovely setting with views of the sea. The rooms are spacious and the facilities are great. Staff very welcoming, friendly and very professional. Very high standard of nursing care. Great choice of menus and excellent quality of meals. My friend could ask for anything and her requests were granted. Very high standard of infection control in these very difficult times.
