My husband moved into Grosvenor Villas in November 2023 having previously been a resident in a "residential" care home but now needing dementia nursing care. I viewed several homes in this category, Grosvenor Villas being the chosen one, mainly for the initial reception given by the manager, the welcoming attitude of the care staff, and the general "homely" surroundings. Now that my husband has been a resident at Grosvenor Villas for several months, I cannot praise the care sufficiently. All the staff are so caring, go out of their way in giving 110% to the residents and also treat family members in a very sincere manner, almost as a part of "the Grosvenor Villas family". Residents are treated with dignity and respect, and their wellbeing and stimulation are evident in every aspect of their care. I am relieved to have found a nursing home where I know that my husband is being looked after without any concerns to me. I give a big thank you to every member of the staff for the excellent care and sincerity they all show. I would most definitely recommend Grosvenor Villas to anyone looking to find a good nursing home.

Last November I came to the UK as it was evident that my mum needed help in finding a nursing home for my dad as he transitioned from a care home. Living abroad, this was a challenging and stressful situation to handle. Having visited six other care homes, as soon as I entered Orchid Villa I felt we had found somewhere we could call 'home' for my dad. Whilst this will never replace his 'real' home this is absolutely the best place. We received a warm welcome from all staff and every question was answered in a professional and friendly manner. The manager reassured both me and my mum and allayed all our anxieties. Seven months later I have come to visit my dad and I cannot express the admiration I have for Orchid Villa. The quality care the manager and all the staff show towards my dad displays professionalism, dignity and kindness. While this will never be an ideal situation, I am comforted with the knowledge that my dad is in the best place possible suited to his needs for which I cannot convey my thanks enough to all the staff.

Such a lovely, friendly atmosphere. The carers and nurses are so lovely and patient with the residents and visitors. They all work extremely hard and are absolute angels. We are always welcomed and consulted and included every time we visit! We feel very confident that our friend is very safe and secure here.

I was extremely nervous about my nana going into a care home. But the staff are so good. They are always happy and helpful. The kindness and care from the staff who I've witnessed to the residents and families is heart-warming.

All the staff are lovely, friendly and very helpful. The nurses always have time to talk about the resident and the plans for future care. The home is always very clean and tidy and the food smells lovely.

My father was a resident at Orchid Villa from June 2021 to his passing in July 2024. During this time, the staff have been amazing, caring, supportive, friendly and patient and have taken a genuine interest in my dad. We have been kept updated on his care throughout. We have never had any concerns or worries. All the staff do a tremendous job, with diligence and sincerity. As a family, we will be forever grateful for everything they have done.

The best care for Dad. I can't thank the team at Orchard Villa enough for the way they cared for our dad over the 3 years he was a resident. He was in very safe hands throughout his time there and as challenging as dementia is, they showed the most incredible amount of love, respect and patience for him. Dad was always clean, shaven and dressed when we arrived. They took great care of his personal needs and he was included in as many activities as possible with his condition. We were always kept fully informed of any issues Dad's health presented right up until the end when he needed urgent medical attention. Thank you so much to everyone at the Orchard Villas from me and my whole family. We will never forget you.

My dad spent a few months in Orchid Villa after his previous home would no longer cater to his advancing dementia. I am so impressed by the care he received here, and the lovely thoughtful facilities like the quiet room. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure the residents are comfortable, cared for, safe, and extremely well looked after. It's also lovely that it's all on the ground floor with access to the pleasant little garden. I would have no hesitation in recommending Grosvenor Villas. And I cannot thank each and every staff member enough for looking after him in his final months.

The only concern I have is the monitoring of the front entrance door. The time it takes to open the front door entrance can take up to 5 minutes for the door to be opened. A bell or buzzer needs installing.

Orchid Villa was my mum’s home for almost 8 years. During that time her needs were complex and forever changing. The staff at the villa were always caring and patient. I could ring or visit any time and the nurses would always make time for me and other family members. It has been a difficult journey, but I want to say a very big, heartfelt thank you to all the staff who cared for her. Mum is at peace now. Thank you.

My husband spent 5 weeks in the care home. He was looked after very well by all the staff. Sadly, he passed away, but everyone can be proud of care they gave him.

Dad has been in Orchid Villa since mid September. It is early days, but Dad was previously in another care home which didn't meet his needs, so I felt it was only appropriate to say how pleased we are with Orchid Villa from the start. When I came to view the standards of hygiene and cleanliness were top notch. There were plenty of staff buzzing around, and the residents were happy and well cared for. The staff have made us feel so welcome, but more importantly Dad! He is always washed, dressed and shaved and has settled down so well. The food menus are great and also there are activities for him to join in with, to keep his mind stimulated. I also attended a relative's meeting. The people who I met were lovely, and some of their family members have been there a while. None of them had a bad word to say about Orchid Villas, which was also very reassuring. Thank you to all the team, you are very much appreciated.

Our dad spent the last few weeks of his life in Orchard Villas. It was a very difficult and sad time but the staff did everything they could to look after him and our family. Every member of the team working there was helpful, friendly and always had a welcoming smile. They could not do enough for us. The care home was very well lead and we were kept updated at all times. We can highly recommend Orchid Villas.

Mum has been at Grosvenor Villas for over 12 months now and we have found her care to be excellent. The staff are friendly and really caring towards Mum. We are kept up to date with Mum's care and any issues arising. Overall, we are very pleased with the care Mum receives.

My husband has been in Orchid Villa now for more than a year, during which time the care he has received has been excellent. The staff are dedicated and are always very friendly, bright and cheerful and nothing is too much trouble to them. I am happy knowing that my husband is being well looked after in a very caring and efficient way in excellent surroundings.

When it was known that my father needed a care home, I was extremely apprehensive as I didn't know what to expect. I shouldn't have been! From my first visit to view, the staff and management at Orchid Villa have been nothing more than wonderful and reassuring to both myself and my dad. He has come on leaps and bounds, he is so settled and much healthier. It is lovely to see the interaction between him and the staff. He is happy.

I find every member of the staff in Orchid Villa from the cleaners and laundry up to the higher levels including reception staff and managers, and the handyman, very kind, considerate and caring in every way. Always happy to help and always keeps me informed of any problems. Thank you.

My husband has been in Orchid Villa, Grosvenor Villas since August 2021. He has been treated with respect and kindness as have my family. The villa manager shows great leadership which reflects in her staff. The food is excellent. We have just had an amazing Jubilee party for everyone which we all enjoyed. I would recommend it to anyone.

My mum currently resides in Orchid Villa and has done since March 2022. In the last care home, my mum was not settled, but since arriving at Orchid Villa, she has completely settled and has come on leaps and bounds and is so much happier in herself. All staff here have been amazing, and the care and support my mum receives are exceptional. Every visit is wonderful, my mum is engaged, and the staff are always on hand. Orchid Villa is very well maintained, always clean and has a warm and welcome atmosphere whenever I come to visit. The facilities are great, and my mum's room is perfect and always clean. The activities that they complete on a regular basis with the residents are great for my mum, and she loves to get involved. I would like to mention the amazing Jubilee party the staff here at Orchid Villa worked extremely hard to make happen, it was a wonderful day and memories as a family we will cherish forever.

My wife was a resident in Grosvenor Villas for over ten years and I couldn’t have wished for a better home for her to spend her final years. Throughout her stay she had many of the same staff to look after her, they became more like family than professional carers. My wife was always treated with the utmost respect and love. Because of the continuity of the staff I always felt confident that any changes in my wife’s condition were identified and dealt with promptly, I was kept well informed of any changes and if I had any issues the staff were always available for me to talk to.
