View Full Details of Heathlands Care CentreMy experience was that expertise shown by all the nursing professionals, doing a difficult job, showing compassion, thoughtfulness and great care to my husband during his short stay. They need a medal for what they do. Care manager and her staff all make relatives welcome and well received. I would recommend this care centre and all involved.
From the moment my father came into the home the staff made him and my family so very welcome. When I came in the ambulance with him all the staff came to introduce themselves. They have given him so much care and also have supported my family, especially my mother who came in on a daily basis. Dad wasn't here long, but he, and all the family, have been made to feel so welcome. Everyone on the team I have met has been warm, kind and compassionate. Thank you to all.
The care home has a lovely welcoming atmosphere. The staff are always welcoming and polite. Mum is treated with dignity and respect and treated as an individual. I always feel she is well cared for and looked after.
I find the staff at Heathlands very approachable and will deal with any issues straight away. The rooms are lovely and you can personalise them with pictures, photos etc. Food is very good. Staff never make you feel in the way and you can make tea and coffee if you wish.
I found the home very organised and tidy, the food is good and satisfying. The staff are excellent.
My friend has received very good care from day one. She is treated with care, respect and dignity, and her overall wellbeing has improved greatly since becoming a resident at Heathlands. From being totally bed-bound she is now able to spend a few hours daily in the lounge, thanks to a special chair specific to her needs. And her family and friends who visit regularly receive a friendly and welcoming experience on each visit, which is so important for us all.
My wife has had the best possible care and nursing, medical needs during her stay at Heathlands. The staff are helpful and attentive to her needs and keep me informed on progress regularly.
The home is well-led, manager is nearly always available, plenty of staff on hand during visiting. Home is clean, pleasant surroundings with a great atmosphere. I'm very happy with the care that my mum receives.
My mum has been in Heathlands Care Home since May 2022, although it took some time to settle she is now settled in and comfortable with the staff who are always kind and caring. We didn't want to put our mum in a home but as it was necessary this is the best place she can be.
My husband has been at Heathlands since April 2022 shortly after it opened. During his time there the home has grown and the staff now have been in place for some time. They are very caring and I feel my husband could not receive better care anywhere. The food is amazing too. I would highly recommend Heathlands to anyone looking on behalf of a loved one.
My mum is well cared for and the staff are very kind and caring. There has been a huge improvement since the manager changed. The food is amazing and they adapt the food for my mum’s needs. Birthdays are a big celebration with all the residents involved.
The Care Home has come on terrifically. Very pleased! Communication is very open. I feel very welcome with all the staff. Staff will ring me and let me know if there is a concern. My husband has to have soft food and the chef is very clever with the diet. My husband had a birthday just recently and the chef made a wonderful cake for him and a little party.
I am happy that the communication problems we had a few months ago have been resolved, and we have seen improvement. We had a meeting with the home manager, who arranged for staff to call me regularly to come in and see my mum at any time. The manager and her team do not make me feel I am in the way; they have accepted me as part of them and see me as someone that is there to support in caring for my mum. The home update me on my mum's care and health before I asked them, and I am happy that they are caring. The care home is more family-orientated. We are happy to come in at any time and get involved. We can walk in and say hello to everyone.
There has been a dynamic change in this care home. The staff are more caring, and they have meetings about my wife and get me involved; even when I am not available, they will ring and let me know. The food is amazing and better than in a 5-star hotel restaurant. My wife looks very happy in the home. The care manager seems to be on top of everything, and she coordinates her team well.
