View Full Details of Jubilee Care HomeIt is always a warm welcome from the receptionist and the home is a lovely, relaxed setting. My nannan is very happy here. The staff are all really nice and they update us regularly. We feel that our relative is very well looked after. I would not hesitate to recommend Jubilee Care Home to family and friends.
After recently losing her husband, my Nan went to stay at Jubilee for some respite care, just until we made the arrangements for her to go back home. I have been to visit regularly and have been impressed with the care home. The first thing I noticed is that it's very clean, it's well decorated and there are lots of places for residents to go and spend time out of their rooms. The staff are all friendly and attentive, and although very busy will always make time for you. The dining room always has a good variety of food and I know my Nan likes to go there for a drink and a chat with the other residents. She has her hair done once a week at the resident hair salon and we can come and see her whenever we like. My previous impressions of care homes haven't always been positive, but this one has shown me what can be possible when you've got a team of staff that are so passionate about providing the best care for your family members.
My Mum came to Jubilee Care Home for a period of respite whilst organising home care for her to return to her own home after the sudden death of my Dad (her husband) of 71 years. The care staff were very kind and attentive to my mum's needs and showed great compassion and warmth to my mum's loss and grief. We would like to thank you all for offering us a safe place for my Mum in these difficult weeks.
Jubilee Care Home is the best, it always smells nice and the staff are exceptional. You can visit any hour of the day and there's always a lovely welcome. The food is the best and nothing is too much trouble. There are plenty of activities and a super hair dresser who attends every week. Care is excellent and the rooms are kept fresh, tidy and homely. I love knowing my mum is cared for and loved.
I am very happy with the care given to my mum at this home. Mum is always clean and tidy, well fed and I feel that she is treated as an individual in the home. All the staff are lovely and approachable and the manager's door is always open if I have any concerns over Mum's welfare. There is a great activities programme for all abilities. All the meals look delicious. It wasn't an easy decision to put Mum into care, but she is very happy here.
I always found the staff friendly and lovely they took amazing care of my dad while he was in Jubilee Care he was there for 3 years before he sadly passed away. He loved the time there even if he didn't know why or where he was they treated him with love and respect.
Mum arrived at Jubilee in April 2022 initially on respite then permanently after the death of my stepdad in May 2022. Throughout her time at Jubilee, her care has been amazing. She was well known by her carers, was cared for despite some dementia confusion was happy there. The carers were always kind, caring and fun with her and with other residents. When Mum reached end of life in December 2023 I couldn't have wished for her to be in anyone else's care. The staff were great with her to the end and showed me care and kindness too. Would highly recommend it.
My father was cared for in Jubilee from January 2023 to December 2023 when he sadly passed away. It was evident very quickly that Dad felt safe and reassured at Jubilee. He trusted the staff so that was great to see for his family. He was right to do so as the care and courtesy he received was unmistakable. Jubilee puts residents first and works tirelessly to create a sheltered, interesting and contented home.
Jubilee Care Home has been nothing but amazing since my dad became a resident there. The staff are so lovely and always on hand to answer any questions and updates on Dad. It's a safe place and I feel happy knowing Dad is getting the love and care he deserves. I am also happy with the facilities there and the activities they provide are brilliant, always something 'going on' for residents and their families.
My mum is well cared for. She is kept clean in clothes and fed well. She is very happy and she refers to her room as 'her flat'. She likes the staff on the unit. The staff are very good, having twice picked up on UTIs, having only been here 2 months. I am at peace with her being here and she is in safe hands.
My neighbor has settled in brilliantly and looks happy and content. She feels safe and has praise for all the staff. I felt very welcome as a visitor and had a nice chat with the manager. Activities are arranged on a regular basis and the Valentine's ball was still being discussed by the residents in the lounge, the ladies were showing me their lovely red polished nails. Everywhere felt clean and fresh and comfortable and well supervised.
The standard of care has been outstanding. My mum is happy and very well looked after. The home is very clean nf all the staff are very helpful and professional. Jubilee Care Home has exceeded my expectation and I have complete confidence in the care they provide for my mum.
Everyone from the owner to management, to the care staff and cleaners, are all absolutely amazing. The home itself is so clean, cosy and welcoming. The rooms are perfect and have everything you need. My grandad and our family all love it in Jubilee. Highly recommend it.
When Mum first moved in, she was a little apprehensive. She was given such a warm welcome she settled in quickly. Being able to bring in her own possessions has made her room very homely. She has nothing but praise for the wonderful team who look after her. Mum loves participating in the many activity opportunities and seems to be making friends. So far, as a family, we are delighted with the standards of care, compassion and cleanliness of the home. We would highly recommend Jubilee Care Home to anyone looking for a safe environment for their loved one.
Fantastic care, staff totally committed.
I hope this review helps other families. My dad aged 86 with advanced dementia and was prone to falls. My dad stayed at Jubilee for just 25 days. Dad was left unsupervised whilst on the toilet, resulting in him falling and breaking his hip. No member of staff told us dad had gone to the hospital, a friend that works at the hospital did. We were told by management the member of staff had to fill in their paperwork first. The directors of the home told me it wasn't normal practice for staff to stay with residents whilst on the toilet if I only knew this before. An accident report was not filled in until 2 weeks later, this should have been done within 24hrs! We were never shown a care plan, risk assessment, etc. Jubilee is a care home and not a nursing home, it would appear Dad was in the wrong type, they do not cater for nursing at all. This home has failed many times with the short time our dad was there. Sadly Dad passed away shortly after this preventable accident.
The care she received was first class. The team treated her like family, and we were always confident she was receiving the best care possible. Both the medical and personal care was exceptional. They listened to her wished and respected them. Thank you, team.
The staff are so friendly and very helpful. His room is always clean and tidy.
I consider that Jubilee Care Home must rank in the top ten of Yorkshire. The staff have empathy and care which can hardly be improved and the management are listeners and always looking for improvement. The rooms are excellent and the cleanliness is superb. the cooking and laundry give an excellent service.
I definitely would never leave a precious loved one in this home. My father was placed here as emergency respite. Within 24 hrs he had fallen. I was never contacted as his next of kin which I understand should be an essential protocol, especially when a person is on blood thinners. Neither was an ambulance called for. My poor father's back was all bruised. There is a major issue with too few staff, especially at night. This place is an accident waiting to happen. Very unprofessional manager who seems clueless as to what is expected of her in terms of her responsibilities in running a care home. No thorough care plan was ever completed thus my father's needs were not taken care of properly. Having spent the best part of an hour providing details to the deputy manager of my father's needs and the fact he must have a soft diet to prevent chocking they brought him the biggest sausage out on a plate uncut. By good fortune, I was there at the time. Don't leave a loved one here!
