View Full Details of Juniper House Residential Care HomeWhat a wonderful place! I was the sole carer for my mum before she came to live at Juniper house. I didn't think anyone would care for her like I did. Well how wrong was I! Mum was welcomed into her new home with upmost respect and affection by all the staff (and I mean all!) and that continues today. Mum was allowed to bring her armchair, photos and china figurines which has helped her to settle in. The Lounge and Dining room is a very social space where mum and her friends (yes mum now has friends!) have their breakfast, dinner and tea, the carers wait on them hand and foot and nothing is too much trouble. The food is delicious too! Mum loves going out in the minibus and taking part in some of the activities. She's played bingo, done some Zumba, played skittles and taken part in a quiz. She didn't do anything before she came here, and now her life has been enriched! It's changed her life for the better and mine too. Thank you so much to the manager and your team!
The residents likes and dislikes are catered for. I always see staff around when I leave and arrive. I am welcomed and it is very rare that I am not offered a drink and even rarer that I am not greeted, even if the staff are extra busy. I have been around when something needs to be done and have noted that residents are patiently informed and the message has been repeated in a kindly/appropriate manner, with time and care taken for the resident to think and reply. Signage and instructions are clear. Additionally, staff are around and happy to help and/or explain when needed. Temporary decorations are regularly refreshed/changed for other pertinent/seasonal ones and cleanliness/repair/decor is kept well and attention paid where needed. This makes visiting as easy as possible even on a difficult day. Many thanks to all involved.
I'm very happy living at Juniper House and have settled in well. The staff are very good and look after me really well. I'm very independent but when I ask for help they always help me with my everyday needs. The food is excellent as I always eat it all and I love one staff member in particular on activities as she's very good and helps me with anything.
My mom was adamant that she would never go into a home. She has just had her fourth visit for respite at Juniper House and loves it! She like the staff, the rooms, the meals, the activities. Everyone is so welcoming and it means a lot to her that people remember her. She is treated with respect and feels that people are interested in what she has to stay. From my point of view, I have had an excellent experience. Staff are helpful, reassuring and kind. I know that my mom is safe and being well looked after. Thank you. (She is looking forward to her next 'holiday' in Feb/March!
Juniper House staff could not be more welcoming, warm, caring, humorous and empathetic towards the residents and their visitors. I spend a lot of time with my granny (hours at a time) and they could never do enough for her or for me. I am welcome to get everything she needs and never made to feel unwelcome.
My mum has been here for the last 3 years. She suffers with dementia and has nothing but care and compassion. Over the last few months, she has been on end of life and we all have been treated with the utmost respect and empathy. Thank you for your continued support.
This care home is one of the best. The staff all work so hard. Nothing is too much trouble. They are all so kind. I do not worry about my husband being here. Thank you.
Thank you for your care of my father. Dementia is a difficult disease, causing confusion and anxiety in the resident's mind. Thank you for listening to our concerns and adjusting his care plan as needed.
My Mum has only been in the home a few weeks but I have noticed a difference in her already, she's a lot happier. Shes walking around without her walking stick, I'm so pleased shes in there the staff are so lovely.
Came to visit my Nan today for the first time since she came to live at Juniper House. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and everywhere was so lovely and clean. We went to my Nans room where she has settled into really well. It was so lovely to see her today looking very well and happy and she has even made new friends.
Juniper House is a very nice residential care home. My Mum is cared for well, by the kind and caring staff who all look after her well. We very sadly lost my Dad at Christmas time and I can't fault the care and compassion that was shown to us as a family, and the care and kindness to my Dad. In the past months, I did feel that only one activity person was not enough to occupy and stimulate all residents. This, I believe has now been rectified.
The staff at Juniper House pulled out all the stops to get my Mum and Dad settled into their new home. The welcome was very warm, and the family got the feeling they cared and were invested in making them happy.
My Aunt has been a resident of Sanctuary Care since 2012. She has always been treated with dignity, respect, and care. The team is always happy to communicate and keep me up to date with any information and medical developments. They are kind and good natured and my Aunt loves them all. It is an excellent home. I am very happy with her care and that she is here.
My father moved to Juniper House from another nearby care home that he had been unable to settle in. Since moving he has received first-class care and attention. The carers are very kind and friendly and attentive to his needs.
Thank you to everyone at Juniper House for making my father-in-law's final years so happy and peaceful. The care, attention and respect that he was given was of the highest standard we could have wished for. It was always a tremendous comfort to us to know that he was in a warm, comfortable and safe environment being looked after by dedicated and professional staff. Juniper House is a first-class residential care home which I cannot praise highly enough. Thank you again.
My grandad has been at Juniper House now for two years. My family and I visit him weekly and are able to stay updated with the various activities and events that are put on via meetings and the newsletter. Juniper really is a home away from home for us - the staff are all caring, welcoming, and approachable. Nothing is too big a task for anyone. It is evident that my grandad feels comfortable, safe and at home and I completely trust and know that he is receiving the best care possible. To all the staff at Juniper - thank you!
What an amazing place Juniper House is! The team are all so diligent, caring and friendly. Their superb care enabled me to finally go away for a much-needed holiday for two weeks, knowing my mum was safe and cared for. I would go as far as to say the Juniper House team gave me my life back for the time my mum stayed there. Thank you so much!
Looking after my father so well. With friendly but serious care, they have made him feel especially welcome. I feel his needs are exceptionally well catered for and am thankful he is being looked after here.
On arrival at the home, we were greeted and welcomed with such kindness. The staff helped to settle my friend straight away. She feels safe and well cared for by the wonderful team of staff. Nothing is too much trouble and they always show kindness and respect. Thank you for making this transition into care a pleasant experience. My friend only came for respite and has decided to stay.
My grandad has lived in Juniper House for nearly two years. The staff are excellent, kind and caring. I visit weekly and can see that he is comfortable in his room and is given opportunities to participate in various activities. He also enjoys the food, especially the desserts! I can see that he is safe and well cared for here and I would recommend Juniper House to others.
