View Full Details of Kings LodgeWonderful place. The difference in my father-in-law is tremendous. He had withdrawn from everything and everyone in his last care home. The team at Kings Lodge have restored his dignity, and he absolutely loves it here. After having a bad experience, they brought him back to his former self. He's happy, enjoys joining in with everyone and loves his carers. The care is very much tailored to his needs, and we couldn't be more grateful. The home is clean and full of life, and the team are wonderful. We couldn't recommend Kings Lodge enough.
From my first contact with making arrangements to secure a place for my Brother at Kings Lodge, I was very impressed. It's beautifully reminded me of a 4-star hotel. My Brother moved in September 24 and he absolutely loved it, and immediately felt at home. The management team and reception staff are exceptional, I was welcomed with every visit with a cup of coffee and a chat if I wanted and always made to feel welcome, I felt part of their family. As for the nurses they were incredible, my Brother was terminally ill and this was to be his final resting place, and I know he wouldn't have wanted to of been anywhere else. My brother was a prickly character but the staff just took it all in their stride, they sat with him and talked when he needed to, sang with him and when he was able, danced with him and when he was nearing the end they held his hand and stayed with him, how beautiful was that. When he passed we all cried together, what kindness and humanity these wonderful staff demonstrated.
Amazing place for my nan the best thing we ever did was to put my nan into Kings Lodge my nan loves all the staff there they always make her laugh and smile. I visited Kings Lodge to have a look around for my nan, when I got there I was greeted by the staff in reception who are so lovely, I met both of the managers they were also very lovely and made us all feel welcome and made us part of their family. The staff are so happy and friendly and always stop to talk to us ask us how our day has been they all communicate very well. The whole place was clean and smelt really nice and clean also key-coded doors so no one can just walk in and out. Fantastic place.
My husband went into the lodge for respite care. Our daughter and I visited the lodge it was the unknown and a particular member of staff made us feel so at ease as did all the staff they all said hello. It was a massive step for us all, but all the staff made us all feel so very welcome, another staff member and her team were just fantastic with my husband and I, nothing was too much trouble. She always supported me when I was upset and has been such a strength to us, thank you to her. It has been lovely meeting the other residents to and doing activities, the activity coordinators are amazing. Great fun was had by all. Everyone there at Kings Lodge is just brilliant the kindness and how thought they all are is just amazing, It's great how they remember names too. Always smiling, couldn't have wished for a better place for my husband to have respite. I know that if things change I would choose Kings Lodge as it's so reassuring how lovely the staff are and the caring side of things too. Thank you the managers and all your staff.
Mum has been at Kings Lodge for 4 years and she is very happy and settled on one of the dementia units. She is so very well looked after by the wonderful caring staff that work so hard looking after the residents. The activities team also do a fabulous job organising so many different entertainers coming in and all the activities for the residents to watch or get involved in. All the staff are so caring, friendly and welcoming and it's so nice to know my mum is safe and being so well looked after by this lovely team. Thank you all so much.
A massive thank you to all the staff. What a difference you made not just in my dad's life but ours too. He called it home, which it had become. His every need was met, you all welcomed him and made him feel safe. Nothing was too much trouble. He was fussy with food but you took that on and exceeded his wishes. When I talk to other people about King's Lodge and how happy my dad was. They say what a difference it is to hear so many positive things. I truly appreciate the love and support you gave us as a family when he sadly didn't wake anymore. Manager and Deputy Manager you made him a home with love and support I will always be grateful.
A well-appointed caring care home, with excellent food, and friendly professional staff. Room cleaning was carried out at regular intervals and staff competent in carrying out care needs reviewed regularly as required. Patient's requirements such as Optical, are available to suit individual needs. Public rooms are available should the patient require a high level of privacy.
My sisters and myself are delighted with the ongoing excellent care that has been provided for Mum since she moved in earlier this year. Since her admission her health has gradually improved and she is now settled and happy. It is always a pleasure to visit her and her carers.
My mother-in-law was sent to this home by Social Services from Wexham Park Hospital on Monday 19th August 2024. Prior to being sent, the family were not consulted or given the opportunity to view the facility. There was little to no communication between the home and the hospital as regarding the care plan for her, resulting in problems with her required medication and care needs. The room allocated was dangerous and fifthly. The bedside light was mangled and twisted, exposing live electrical wires with easy access. The emergency call button on the wall when pressed was faulty as did not notify any of the staff within the facility. The extendable button for the emergency alarm was not fitted. The room stank, there was still crumbs and food residue on the table from the last person to useD the room and the door to the room did not work correctly. Other patients wandered in and out of private rooms at will, more frequently than the 2 staff that were on duty did.
I would like to leave a review for the excellent care my mother receives at Kings Lodge! She has been at Kings Lodge now for nearly 3 years and in all the time she has been there we couldn't ask for a better care home. Mum has Alzheimer's and dementia which is getting gradually worse. The staff have been wonderful with great care and support for Mum, there are plenty of activities during the day they also take the residents out when they can. Day-to-day care is excellent, the staff are lovely and very caring, and the food is lovely. Mum is always smiling and when asked if she is happy she always replies very happy, she has a lovely room with views of the garden. The home is set in a beautiful setting with trees and a large garden area. I would highly recommend Kings Lodge. 10/10.
I feel compelled to express the sincerest gratitude we as a family have to each and every member of staff at Kings Lodge. My husband has been resident at Kings Lodge since October 2023. All Staff have shown my Husband nothing but kindness, support and encouragement 24/7. My husband has been treated with dignity and understanding throughout his stay. The staff are fully trained, and I have witnessed on a daily basis, the great care, support, compassion and empathy shown to all Residents and their Families. My Husband is a much loved Dad, Grandad and all the Grandchildren visit, even our little dog. These visits are precious and cherished by us all. Just knowing that my Husband is so well cared for, safe and secure from harm is so greatly appreciated. There are just not words enough to express this Family's sincerest gratitude for taking care of my Husband. I recommend highly beautiful King's Lodge and it's wonderful staff to anyone looking for a Care Home.
Our experience at Kings Lodge was excellent. The staff took exceptional care of my mum, who moved into Osprey wing in August 2023 until she recently passed. It was traumatic to move mum out of her home of 50 years, into a new and unfamiliar place. But from day 1, the staff were friendly and engaging and kind. They got to know Mum and understand her wants and needs, even though she didn't speak very much at this point. This was all so very important as I live overseas and wasn't able to visit often. Mum loved the food and put on weight when she moved in. There are plenty of activities and Mum was always included, even though she preferred to watch rather than join in. I am so grateful that Mum had such an amazing care team supporting and caring for her in her last months. And when I was with Mum in her final hours, they were so very thoughtful and kind to me. My deepest sincerest thank you to you all.
King's Lodge is a truly exceptional place. My father was transferred there for end of life care and I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the incredible team in the Falcon wing who surrounded him in his final weeks. Everybody was so immensely kind and nothing was too much trouble. At such a challenging time, we felt hugely grateful for the professionalism and thoughtfulness of all the staff we encountered. They really are a uniquely special team who are genuinely dedicated to those in their care and the families alongside. This is a very high calibre home with a true heart for the work it does. Thank you King's Lodge for the dignity and love you showed my Dad in his twilight days - we shall be forever appreciative.
My wife, who suffers from mixed dementia and physical disability, has been a resident at Kings Lodge Care Home for just over a year. During that time, I have observed and very much come to appreciate, not only the daily general attention she receives from all the staff but more especially the dedicated nursing and personal care that, together, ensure that she is as well and comfortable as can be expected. Based on the care and kindness that my beloved wife has experienced to date, I would recommend Kings Lodge to anyone looking for a Care Home for a loved one with similar mental/physical health issues. With sincere thanks to all the Admin. Staff together with the Nurses and Care Teams of the 'Falcon' wing.
I'm writing this to express thanks on behalf of all the family for the exceptional care that you provided to my grandfather during his time with you, and I think Mum is going to write to you directly too. Making the decision to move from home was huge for all of us and we feel lucky and privileged that King's Lodge was recommended to us by the hospital team. The surroundings and his room were obviously lovely, but our lasting memory will be of the people and team - we put our faith in you and you delivered in everything that we could have possibly wished for. I didn't realise just how difficult it would be to make the transition and the fact that you were there for us too made big difference. It was quite telling when we saw how grandpa interacted with you all and to know he had that bond when we weren't there meant a huge amount.
As a family we are eternally grateful to all the staff in Kings Lodge for the care and professionalism they gave to my late husband in his final days. It is very comforting for us that he passed away in such a lovely care home.
We are immensely grateful to the care home in Camberley for the unwavering support and compassion they provided during our loved one's dementia and palliative care journey. From the outset, the staff showed profound understanding, tailoring care to meet our family member's unique needs with heartfelt empathy. The peaceful environment and attentive, personalized care created a true sanctuary, offering comfort during a challenging time. The palliative care, in particular, was outstanding. Not only were medical needs expertly managed, but the emotional and spiritual aspects were given equal importance, making our loved one's final moments as dignified and comforting as possible. The transparency and support extended to our family were invaluable, providing reassurance and solace during this difficult journey. We wholeheartedly recommend this care home to anyone seeking a place where their loved one will be treated with genuine care, respect, and compassion.
My brother passed away at this nursing home on the 7th July this year. Care was next to none and no matter how many times I complained nothing was done. The manager never phoned back. They have lost 5 T-shirts. I was given 3 times of death. He wasn't laid out when he died. I had put in a safeguarding issue in about medication. I can't speak to anyone higher than the so-called manager. I'm not happy my brother passed away alone. Please don't send your loved ones here, it's not what it seems to be. Looks nice on the outside, inside tables marked, floor stains, not enough staff. I just hope no one else has to go through what I have.
I am absolutely so grateful for the care and hard work the staff put into looking after my Father-in-law. Dementia is a horrid disease and very challenging. I witnessed them dealing with one of his incidents and they were amazing! We took Mum over for lunch to see him and we sat in one of the bar rooms. It was so lovely to see them holding hands and being able to spend that time together. All his needs and ours were met and nothing is too much trouble. I can’t thank them enough knowing that he is being cared for in a clean caring environment.
Totally inadequate. I watched my nan deteriorate rapidly within her time here. The level of care is simply not there. Manager’s attitude is disgusting too. Not the cleanest of places, despite how glitz and glam it’s made out to be on social media. If your relative is able-bodied, and able-minded they’ll love it. If your relative needs more TLC, I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. Really disappointed as at first they couldn’t do enough. However, cracks start to show. I think mostly it’s down to lack of resources but you want your loved one to be cared for, not left in their room, in their bed all day and night, neglected!
