View Full Details of Kings Manor Care HomeMy mum was looked after from Feb 24 to Sept 24. She enjoyed a good chat with the staff. Who were very friendly towards her and I feel that they enjoyed her company as well. The rooms are nice, and spacious and were kept clean overall all but more could have been done. The care was very good, however at times also a little lacking, this was due to staffing levels. Towards the end of Mum's care, the end-of-life care seemed a little rushed and didn't flow as well as I thought, but this was all new to me. I was allowed to stay with my mum until she passed, which was very peaceful in the end. The staff looked after me and were very kind, nothing was rushed or too much for them. Kings Manor is a lovely care home with wonderful staff, they all work hard and are passionate. It has a lovely aspect, the scenery around the building, the pleasant garden, and the balconies you can sit and chill out on. I am happy my mum spent the end of her life here, I believe my mum was happy with the choice. Thank you.
All of the staff show empathy and care. We are satisfied that our family member is in the best possible hands at Kings Manor.
Dad came into Kings Manor back in June and has settled in. The staff are very attentive, caring, and professional, and always happy to chat with him and help my Dad. It is very comforting to us all especially my Mum that my Dad is comfortable and well cared for. However, we do feel that sometimes there is a lack of communication between the staff and family. We also feel that the cleanliness of Dad's room is not always to the standard we would like. Overall we are happy with the home facilities, Dad's room, and importantly the care he receives. Thank you.
Very poor communication between the staff members and resident's family members. I don't think the families are told enough about the residents health and safety. If the resident has been/or is unwell and is taking medication for it, then the families should be told.
My Dad was looked after in Kings Manor Care Home from May to October 2024. During this time all of the staff were caring, friendly, helpful, and professional. The environment was clean comfortable and pleasant with lovely views which Dad enjoyed. Dad settled after a while and enjoyed chatting to the staff and other clients. Overall I feel Kings Manor was a good choice and gave Dad the best quality of life possible for him.
Easily the best option we looked at in the area. Great care, facilities, and staff. No residents are left sitting around in a circle in the lounge to entertain themselves. No faint aroma of urine which pervades quite a few homes. Would heartily recommend it.
Very clean and caring establishment. Activities seem varied and regular. Staff are attentive and caring.
This is a great care home which is ideal for my father's care and health needs. It's a real team effort by all the different staff disciplines to deliver care with tact, humour and diplomacy. It's so good for the family to know that Father is safe and very well cared for - he even takes part in some of the wide range of activities which are on offer. He enjoys the food and eats well.
My mother came to Kings Manor from the hospital after having broken her hip and with pressure sores, a UTI and an unwillingness to eat and drink. Working with the local GP she was prescribed antibiotics that she would actually take, she was turned at frequent intervals and kept clean and dry. The staff were encouraging so that she drank nutritious drinks but would not eat. Finally, her body failed. At all times she was treated with care and dignity.
Kings Manor is a home-from-home. All residents are extremely well cared for. Staff go over and beyond to help new residents settle in and support their families through the process. The activity team are very good at encouraging residents to get involved and make the most of the opportunities on offer. As a family, we have noticed an improvement in her since being in Kings Manor.
Thank you so much for looking after our dad. Everyone has been so friendly and approachable to make sure Dad's stay enjoyable as possible.
My husband who has now sadly died spent the last two months of his life at Kings Manor Care Home. I simply couldn't speak too highly of the loving care he received while he was there. All the staff were kind, caring and considerate both to him and me when I visited. Kings Manor is indeed a huge asset to the region and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to absolutely anyone.
My husband has been at Kings Manor Care Home since April this year. The home is well looked after and what makes the place is the staff, they are all so caring for my husband and myself. When I say all I mean all, everyone who works there. I was a bit dubious about the home but when I visited prior to him going in, I knew this was a good place for him. All the family agree with me that he couldn't be in a better place.
My mother moved into Kings Manor in October 2019 aged 94 and died May 2023 aged 97 and a half. Throughout her time at Kings Manor she received excellent care, love and attention. She considered Kings Manor to be her home and the staff as her friends or even her extended family. 5 Members of Kings Manor staff attended her recent funeral (making a round trip of 20+ miles) which says a lot about their attitude towards those in their care. Obviously the home is expensive, but in my opinion, well worth it.
My mum came to Kings Manor Care Home just before Christmas 2019. Mum was one of the first residents at Kings Manor Care Home. Mum has just passed away and the care she received during her last days and throughout her time at Kings Manor was exceptional. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for first-class care. Mum's carer gave Mum care beyond anything we could have wished for!
Kings Manor have looked after my mother for 2 years because she needed more care than we could give her as a family and had worsening dementia. We wanted to know she was safe. The environment Mum lived in was happy and homely with an exceptional standard of care and Mum was always treated with dignity. The nursing care that she received before passing away was also excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending the home as a place of care.
My mother in law who suffered from dementia was placed on end of life care following a heart attack at the end of July. Due to her need for 24 hour nursing care she was transferred from hospital to Kings Manor Care Home. The home itself is wonderful as are all the staff. My mother in law received excellent care and she was very happy during the nine weeks she was cared for. We as a family cannot thank you enough.
The pastoral and medical care my mother has here makes her, and our, life easier as we have no worries about the way she is looked after.
My mum is so happy in Kings Manor that she tells me every time I come to visit. The staff are so caring and friendly and Mum has made firm relationships with both staff and residents. The activities are amazing and I would name the organiser for special mention if I could. I am full of gratitude for both management and care staff's handling of the whole pandemic, for keeping Mum safe and for welcoming us all in when it was safe to do so. Bless you all.
The home is very spacious and the rooms and facilities are excellent. The care of the residents and the attitude of staff is first class and cannot be faulted at all levels.
