View Full Details of Langham ManorI went to Langham Manor to visit my sister. It was her first day there. It was a very positive experience as the staff were all so friendly. My sister was so happy to be there and to be so well cared for.
My mother is a resident in Langham Manor Stowmarket. It was her 96th Birthday just one month after being admitted and they couldn't have been lovelier about it. They really went the extra mile to make her feel special, with a cake and decorations. I know my mum is very happy there and all the carers I have met have been wonderful, patient and caring people. I cannot comment on the food as I have not been there to see it but my mum is happy and is getting what she wants.
Mum has settled really well into Langham Manor. She is very happy as she is being well cared for and has a lovely room that is kept clean and tidy. Nothing is too much trouble and every member of staff is friendly and helpful. Mum enjoys the nutritious food and the activities are enabling her to socialise which is good for her mental health. Mum feels very much at home.
Very good and friendly environment. Dad is well cared for and has settled in well. There are activities to do and he enjoys them. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Whenever I visit my Aunt there is always a great welcome, all the staff are very friendly and extremely caring to all the residents. I had to wait while my Aunt was being washed and just watching all the staff I thought how lucky she was. They all had time and a friendly face for everyone even though they were very busy.
The home itself has been built to a high spec and is always kept clean and is on par with a four-star hotel. The care shown by the staff to residents has been exceptional. The big letdown has been the quality of the food. The advert for the home says fine dining unfortunately the standard has been poor for the ten months of our family involvement. The management has failed to find kitchen staff of the required standard with a high turnover of staff in the year it's been open. In defence of the current chef, they may be doing their best with the ingredients available. There is regularly a shortage of green vegetables with the main meal. For example this week the option was sausage and chips with peas, but they had run out of peas! How can you run out of peas? Fresh fruit is not readily available in the lounge. For the fees charged the food should be far more nutritious and of a higher standard.
An exceptional care home with exceptional management and staff. My mum has been a resident for almost 8 months following a traumatic personal situation and hospitalisation. I cannot praise this home enough and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a brilliant care home for a loved one. They have gone above and beyond in many ways and on many occasions. Thank you so much, Langham!
The staff are kind and genuinely care about the residents. The place is always clean and comfortable, making it feel like home. There's a real sense of community, and my mom enjoys the many activities and events they offer. They keep me well-informed about my mom's care, which gives me peace of mind. Langham Manor has become a second home for my mom, and I'm very thankful for the wonderful care she receives.
Mum has been living at Langham Manor for over 6 months now and every member of staff is so helpful, caring and patient towards her. Her dementia can make her feel anxious and fearful and sometimes she can be more challenging to deal with but the staff always take it in their stride and know the right things to say to her and how to deal with it. The home has more of a feel of a hotel than a care home and the lady who sorts out days and entertainment is excellent at getting them out and about which is so important to Mum. I am very grateful that we have found somewhere that I am confident will look after Mum and make her life as pleasant as possible.
Langham Manor provided excellent care to my husband whilst he was in for respite care. Staff are caring, considerate and compassionate. They offer excellent support to family too. The staff from the manager down to all trained staff and carers are so kind. The activity coordinator is amazing, always encouraging, bright and breezy. Another staff member too has always been so kind to my husband, helping me to keep him active when we attend the coffee mornings. We are always invited to social events regardless of whether he is in for respite at the time or not.
My husband is treated with such amazing care and empathetic attention. The entire family cannot thank management and staff enough.
The team have taken a great deal of care to settle the patient and to adapt to her requirements. Nothing has seemed too much trouble. Everyone, management, lead nurse, carers and catering, have been cheerful and helpful. The room, communal areas and general ambience is great. Activities are inclusive and a bonus and patients are getting encouraged to partake.
Langham Manor is a very special place because every single member of staff there cares. They care about their residents and they care about their relatives. The end-of-life care they provided my mother-in-law was exemplary. We will always be grateful to them for their kindness, their understanding and their professionalism.
My father-in-law was taken into Langham Manor on 8th January and ever since has been cared for at the highest standard. The care home is immaculate and all the staff are amazing! They do everything they can to help make my father-in-law comfortable, he says how much he loves the carers and he seems happy too. I know he's being well looked after at all times which reassures us all as a family.
My dear friend, whom I have Power of Attorney for, was transferred from hospital to Langham Manor for end of life care. As a retired nurse and former care home manager myself, I had particularly high expectations of care for my friend; the excellent standard of care she received at Langham Manor far exceeded my expectations right from the time I was greeted as I arrived by the manager, attention to detail and kindness from all the reception staff, carers, nurses, kitchen staff and the manager to meet my friend's personal choices meant so much to us both, plus all her visitors. Thank you everyone. I can highly recommend the excellent quality of care from staff at Langham Manor.
Went to visit our daughter's mother-in-law on Friday 8th December and were literally stunned at the warm welcome. The absolute cleanliness of the home and happy occupants. Never have I seen such a perfect home! We were shown around the rooms and facilities and have never and I mean never seen anything so stunning. It's better than a 5* hotel. Congratulations Langham Manor you will never be beaten. Thank you.
My dad was at Langham Manor as end of life care. All the staff were so kind and caring, making sure he was comfortable and pain-free at all times. The attention to detail for his birthday was outstanding. The staff on duty when he passed away were so touching and little touches by them and management were so thoughtful. It was just such a shame he was only there for a few weeks. We can't thank Langham Manor enough.
I came into Langham Manor for respite care after a bad fall. Never have I met such kindness, nothing is too much trouble and you are waited on hand and foot. Food is delicious, it certainly tempted my appetite back. Everyone, staff and residents are a pleasure to be with. I'm well satisfied with everything. I would not hesitate to recommend Langham Manor.
I have been very happy since moving into Langham Manor in August. The furnishings and decor are very stylish and outstanding, it feels like a luxury hotel. I like using the bistro, cinema room, hair salon, and had a wonderful afternoon tea in the library room. Our social events have been fun, we do card games, bingo, painting, and crafts. Some outings are planned for the future. The carers and management are so kind, we are so lucky.
Mum and Dad had been waiting for several months for Langham Manor to open. During that time the management team have been fantastic, keeping us up to date with progress and home visits to talk through admin. Since Mum and Dad have become residents, we have noticed a big improvement in their outlook on life. Mum started knitting again after many months! The care has been outstanding with regular care reviews and all medical needs met promptly. It is a five-star hotel with care surrounding them.
