View Full Details of Lindsey Hall Care HomeMy mum was resident at Lindsey Hall for a period of time until sadly she passed away. Our reason for choosing Lindsey Hall was due to being impressed with how it felt when it first opened and we were able to look around. Mum became unwell following a fall and although she wanted to be at home, this wasn't a possibility due to her level of need. We chose Lindsey Hall because she remembered how she liked it and from meeting with staff I knew that it could give her the level of care that she needed. From the first day that Mum arrived, the staff were kind and helpful. They looked after Mum with respect and professionalism and it always felt that nothing was too much trouble. Although Mum wasn't keen on the activities at times, I observed the activities to be well thought out, and very enjoyable. Not only did the staff care for Mum, but they cared for us as a family. We felt supported right through to the end.
The NHS placed my mother into an inferior nursing home in May 2024, I needed to find a much better place for her. I visited several local nursing homes, however, the reputation of Lindsey Hall was good and my mother had attended the building when it was her school so I undertook a site visit and found it to be a happy place with long-serving indigenous staff and a smile wherever I went. I took her there and she liked its familiarity, layout and quality. It was also close to where she had lived for the last 60 years. Two rooms were available and we chose a bright airy room looking over the quadrangle and since then her life has been very comfortable and safe, she has been well cared for her and I find the communication between the care home and myself and Mum's friends to be very good. As I live abroad it is important to me to know that there is 24 care for her. Useful events organised by the home staff include exercise classes, church service, painting/singing groups and occasional trips.
Mum moved into Lindsey Hall 13 months ago. She was made most welcome and we are so happy with the care and attention she receives here. Mum loves all the activities trying some new ones, golf, seated yoga, art club and singing in the choir especially when putting on a performance for friends and family. Mum has also loved getting taken out and especially having a trip out to the county show and garden centre. The carers have gone above and beyond and I feel mum is in the best home.
My mum has been a resident at Lindsey Hall for over a year now. Myself and the rest of the family all agree since mum has been there she has a new lease of life. The interaction with staff and other residents and daily activities have proved very beneficial for my mum. I was worried about how Mum would settle but the staff are all so lovely they made her feel at home from day one and my mum is so happy there. Every time I go I leave smiling knowing that Mum is happy and so well cared for. The facilities and activities are great but also the overall level of care and friendliness of staff are second to none. I feel very fortunate to have found Lindsey Hall. Fabulous Care home all around and I can't recommend it enough.
This care home is a wonderful place. The staff are truly amazing, kind and caring, lovely to be with very professional. There are lots of activities to do, very different things to do each day. Also the food is very good my father loves it in Lindsey Hall Care Home. Would highly recommend to anyone. Thank you Lindsey Hall Care Home and amazing staff .
Mum visited Lindsey Hall Care Home in February 2024 to have a look around, after deciding that she really couldn't manage by herself anymore. Within an hour, she had chosen a room and agreed a date for moving in. Within 5 days of moving in she had decided she was staying for good! I have nothing but praise for the staff, who have dealt with Mum needing a stay in hospital and extra care when she was discharged back to the home; had multiple calls to the GP/frailty team; manage a complicated meds schedule for her multiple pathologies and deal with her frequent requests for cups of tea, which arrive with a smile. Mum's usual stay with me and the family over Christmas lasted 2 days as she wanted to go back to Lindsey Hall, which she now calls ‘home'. That, to me, is a ringing endorsement from her, and a huge sigh of relief to me, as it means she is settled, feels safe, trusts the management and staff, likes the food, the entertainment and activities and feels valued. I feel we have been blessed in finding Lindsey Hall and can't rate it highly enough.
Thank you so much to all at Lindsey Hall Care Home. Even though my mum doesn't remember being with you and cry's when she gets there, everyone is so great at making her feel at home. I couldn't ask for more. I just wish I had more time to help and support as other relatives do. Thanks again to you all 5 stars.
After years of saying we'll never go into a home, both my parents, aged 91, finally had to face the inevitable. I actually chose the home after a recommendation from a friend whose parents moved into the home near Louth. From our fist visit, we were really impressed with the setup, the quality of the accommodation but most of all, the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Initially, they went in for two weeks respite, the decision to make it permanent would have seemed impossible before they first went in and it is a testament to the staff that they are now relatively settled, taking part in group activities and much more relaxed and active than they were at home. I'm sure my mum still misses her old house but we feel this will pass in due course. My sister and I have been worried about falls etc. for quite some time now, particularly as she lives overseas. It is a weight off our shoulders to see them being cared for so well.
Both my parents moved into this home in the middle of August, initially just for a 2-week trial and despite their strong resistance to going into a care home, they are now delighted they made this decision. Everything is just right for them. The room, the surrounding gardens, the activities, the good food - but most of all the caring and kind staff. As my mum said: "We couldn't wish to be treated any kinder".
Nothing but good things to say about this care home. We have experienced a few different homes dealing with other members of our family and this one is in a different league. Most subjects are covered in other reviews but for us the particular benefit is communication. We live over 200 miles away and during COVID we started video calls. These have continued to this day and are of huge benefit to us. I would thoroughly recommend this home to anyone who needs one.
Lindsey Hall is a fantastic Care Home, the staff are exceptional, so friendly, caring and genuinely interested in the residents. I’m so impressed with the high standards they have and the excellent facilities they provide. The activities are brilliant and keep residents engaged and happy. I almost forgot the amazing food. I wish all care homes could be like this.
Lindsey Hall Care Home is an amazing home! Mum moved in September 2023 and it has been a wonderful home for her. She gets fabulous care from all the staff (particularly Haven staff where she is cared for), they are friendly, very caring, compassionate, very understanding and have a great sense of humour and fun. There are activities throughout the day, every day, residents are encouraged to join in but there is also a lot of one-to-one care and time spent with everyone there. Residents are treated with such dignity, in what must be a very challenging and difficult job at times, the staff are exceptional. It is such a relief knowing that Mum is getting the best care possible. There are regular supervised trips out organised for the residents, Mum was taken to a cat cafe a few months ago. If you are wanting a home where you feel happy as soon as you walk in, Lindsey Hall is definitely the place to choose. If you are unsure, take a look around, people are welcome anytime to visit.
Lindsey Hall is, quite frankly, head and shoulders above any care home I have ever seen. I work in the sector and have delivered training in hundreds of care homes and not one comes even close to Lindsey Hall. The staff are amazing - so cheerful, friendly, resident hugging wonderfulness. They are all over everything at all times and if there is an issue their response is fast, efficient, cheerful and hugely professional. Mum could not be in a better place. The fact that it happens to be her old school is icing on the cake. 100% wonderful in every aspect and should be voted number one in the whole of the UK.
We brought Mum back after a morning out not feeling very well. Senior nurse jumped straight into action after I explained what had happened, checking Mum's blood levels, calling the GP and also helping Mum get ready for bed, then explaining everything after she had spoken to the GP.
We as a family had to make the very difficult decision that Mum was going to need permanent care after a spell in respite. The staff at Lindsey Hall were amazing, they were both supportive and informative. All helping to make the transition go smoothly. Mum is settling in nicely, as everyone is helpful and friendly providing the support Mum needs. Would highly recommend.
The work, energy and enthusiasm that was put into the month of December to make Christmas special for the residents and their families was second to none! Not only is my mum safe and cared for, but she is entertained every day, encouraged to take part in the different exercise classes, and is provided with a fresh and varied menu. Too much to mention regarding the entertainment, just to say I’ve managed to witness a few, and the standard is amazing. My mum and our family could not be happier with the service Lindsey Hall provides. A care home that really cares.
My mother has recently moved into this care home. I cannot believe how many activities they do with her to stimulate and entertain the residents. Not just sitting around looking at each other here. She loves the food, and the carers are so kind to her. Such a weight off my mind. Thank you.
A very happy and cheerful place to live. All the staff are very busy all the time but are helpful and look after us very well.
Excellent care/friendly home/great facilities. My mum has experienced this homely residential unit for the last 18 months. As a family we have the assurance she is well settled, in this warm, comfortable, friendly home. There is always a happy face to help with her daily needs, give her medications on time, and keep an eye on her health and liaise with GP if required. Home-cooked food is served in the lovely dining room or in rooms if preferred. Good healthy choice on the menu. Clothes are laundered. All staff are friendly and welcoming when visiting and happy to answer questions - either when visiting or via the phone.
My mum moved to Lindsey Hall in 2017 after a very poor experience in another care home. Mum's condition had deteriorated so much we felt we wanted her to have her remaining time in the home that would really care for her. Within a few weeks, Mum had improved so much we were amazed. Mum remained at Lindsey until she passed away this month. The care and compassion of the staff have been outstanding not only to Mum but to us as a family, especially during the last days of Mum's life. The staff at Lindsey Hall make all the difference.
