View Full Details of Lisburn Intermediate Care CentreThroughout mums 2 year stay at LICC our family were always welcomed and mum was treated with dignity, respect and compassion. Although reluctant to join in the many activities provided, with gentle persuasion from experienced staff she enjoyed the music events. After mums death I was given a photo of her in the residents lounge enjoying the music with her peers. This picture will always be special as it is the last one I have of her looking content and happy before her final illness. Sincere thank to all the staff for your patience. Support and understanding.
I stayed here for about a year. I found the staff very friendly and helpful and they looked after me very well. The nursing and care staff were excellent and on the whole I felt listened to and my needs were met. The maintenance man was very trustworthy and carried out his tasks very well. The activities co-ordinators were excellent and organised lots of varied activities.
My Father received excellent care in Lisburn ICC a very high standard of care is provided by nurses and carers with so much care at all times. I was kept updated about my Father's health if changes occurred. My Father looked forward to the social activities that were well organised and fun. My Fathers visitors always were made so welcome and would comment about the lovely staff and the great standard of care my Father had here. Lisburn ICC I highly recommend, Managers & Staff are very approachable, friendly and helpful professionals. Thank you to Lisburn ICC it was a pleasure to have met you all.
After a lengthy stay in hospital, my mum arrived for rehab with a view to returning home. Unfortunately, her mobility took a backward turn here. I feel there were not enough physios to give her the rehab she needed in order for her to progress. There seemed to be only 1 physio to cover the home and home visits. It was disappointing. After just a couple of weeks with physio, we were told that Mum would never walk again. The NHS need to invest much more time and money into physio and rehab to get people up and walking again. We are now paying for a private physio who is continuing to work with Mum. Mum found it quite isolating, most of the residents stayed in their rooms -despite there being communal lounges. More activities are needed - daily for residents to come together. The care was second to none, with very kind and caring staff - and on the ball with her time-critical Parkinson's meds which was of great relief after a negative experience in the hospital with her time-critical meds.
Rooms bright and airy Staff pleasant and attentive in-patient happy and content.
My mum is enjoying a very happy experience in Lisburn Intermediate Care Centre. Everyone is very kind and helpful to her and myself when visiting. She really appreciates all the social activities which are organised for the residents. A very friendly atmosphere and safe environment to be in. I definitely recommend this home to others.
Overall very happy with my brother's care, he has certainly improved very physically and mentally. My only gripe is that Lisburn is not handy for me to visit.
My husband has recently become a permanent resident of Lisburn Intermediate Care Centre having been initially cared for in the rehabilitation unit following hospital. While there he was assessed as needing 24-hour housing care and throughout this period both my husband and myself were always given all the help needed in a totally professional and compassionate manner. We were delighted when a permanent room became available and he is gradually settling in with the wonderful care and support of all the staff, who have also gone out of their way to make this transition as smooth as possible for myself and her family.
My father has been a resident since September 2024 and the staff have helped him settle and cope with the situation we found ourselves in as a family. He is looked after and fed well. Lisburn Intermediate Care Centre provide the safety, personal aid and overall wellbeing for my father. My mother and I are pleased and relieved that all medical needs have been looked at and received with the reassurance of doctors nearby.
The care mum received in Lisburn Intermediate Care Centre was second to none. When discharged from hospital, mum had a pressure sore and fluid leaking from her legs, caused by poor circulation. Due to excellent nursing in the home, mum's pressure sore and swollen legs healed fully. She was treated courteously at all times and kept clean and comfortable throughout her stay. She was able to get her hair washed, cut and blow dried by a hairdresser available to the residents at a small charge. She also attended a musical afternoon and a gardening class where she planted up some bulbs. Visitors are made very welcome and can call in at any time apart from residents' meal times. This is a very well run nursing home with dedicated caring staff and I cannot thank them enough for the wonderful care they gave my mum which enabled her to return in much better health, to her own home.
My aunt became a resident in the autumn of 2023 and over the past year has been very settled and contented. The staff are friendly and caring. The staff provided good communication to the family when required and we were kept updated on anything associated with my aunt's health and well-being. The home provided various activities and entertainment including the occasional day trip and there are regular in-house services offered including hairdressing, etc.
My mother was in respite care here and I couldn't fault in any way the care and respect shown to her by all members of the nursing team. The care given to her was exemplary. Thank you.
Resident is happy and content. Well cared for, always clean and comfortable.
My mum came into the home in January and stayed until November 14th. Staff are super from start to end. Thanks.
Ok so far, thanks.
My sister is very happy and content here. She is very well looked after. She always says that the staff are kind and friendly.
My uncle was a resident at LICC from April 2022 when he was admitted following a hospital stay for a broken femur. From day one he was made to feel welcome by the very caring staff. Throughout his time there he was looked after extremely well by the dedicated nurses and carers. Communication between the care home & myself as his next of kin was very good and I felt I got to know the staff well during my visits. The care home is kept spotlessly clean although the facilities and bedrooms could do with some improvement. Special mention to the activity coordinators who work tirelessly to entertain the residents. I moved my uncle to another care home in August 2024 & the only reason for doing this was so he could be closer to where I live. I would have no hesitation in recommending LICC and the care they provide in a very dignified manner.
I am very satisfied with the LICC. All their staff are so kind to my husband and the other residents. I feel very fortunate that my husband is receiving such great care and attention.
I and my Mother and siblings are very happy for my Dad to be in Lisburn Intermediate Care Centre. My Dad is always clean and tidy and well cared for. The staff are second to none. I would have no concerns about recommending the dementia suite to anyone.
LICC is very clean, the staff are helpful, friendly, and very caring. It is a calm environment with a homely feel. The staff takes time to get to know the family and residents to make their stay as comfortable as possible. They go out of their way to help and assist with all your needs.
