View Full Details of Meadow CroftI have been a resident for 4 weeks and have found my stay very pleasant and physically I have improved considerably. The staff have been very pleasant and supportive and the facilities are excellent. I have not taken part in many of the activities. The food has generally been reasonable but occasionally not to my taste.
My grandad is well supported by caring staff who have worked to develop a connection with him. I feel reassured he is looked after by competent and trained staff. His room is clean and modern. The food seems to be of good quality, his only complaint would be that there should be more lamb on the menu.
Mum is being very well looked after and all the staff seem to be genuinely fond of her. The home is spotless and all the staff are kind, courteous, professional and caring. It's very difficult "handing over care" of a much-loved parent to someone else and it takes time for a relative to settle down, probably more so than for mum. I know that she's safe and being well looked after.
I visit my friend who is nonverbal and uses a wheelchair, the surroundings are very nice, there is a hotel feel about the place, and I love being greeted by the dog, who is super cute. I get an update from the manager about my friend when I see her, and there are a few of the care team I am getting to know, who are very attentive. The centre looks clean, the staff are friendly, there seems to be a good lot of things happening, for residents, and the lounge is very comfortable.
My father, 90, was no longer able to live alone due to the onset of dementia. He has been a resident in Meadow Croft since September 2024 and settled in amazingly quickly and he is incredibly happy. I do regular video calls with him so I literally see how he is. The staff have been brilliant. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is good, the service excellent and the facilities are practical and beautifully decorated. Everything is so clean - the laundry is done daily. He is happy with his bedroom and enjoys the wealth of choice on the large TV with streaming services. He likes to be busy and entertained, so the vast array of activities on offer keeps him on his toes - literally! He has become a champion at drafts, loves dancing (I am amazed) and has a lot of fun with his carers. The atmosphere is very homely and friendly, with a good spirit amongst the residents. I am so relieved I can leave him there, while in Germany, knowing he is well looked after by a very professional, yet friendly team.
My dear friend has been at Meadowcroft for a number of months now and it is lovely to see how settled she is. Her room and the communal areas are clean and spacious and she has been able to bring items in to make her room her own space. The staff are very caring towards the residents whilst enabling them to be as independent as possible, it is reassuring to see the same group of staff on a regular basis as they have got to know the likes and dislikes of the residents. There are lots of opportunities to be sociable with other residents on a daily basis, eating, exercising, chatting etc if they wish to do so. There are regular events on like singers for remembrance day, Christmas carols, crafts, and visits from animal experiences, the highlight so far was when the Owls came to visit, something she would not have been able to see if she was still at her home. It is so good to know that she is safe and cared for and I look forward to each visit to find out what has been going on.
Dad has been in Meadow Croft for around three months now and has settled very well. The staff are really fantastic, very caring and professional with a lovely warmth about them that makes Dad feel welcome and looked after. We are very reassured by the care that Dad gets which is a huge relief for us. Meadow Croft is a high-quality care home with a lovely warmth about it, from the fabulous reception and office team through to all the unit managers and all the care staff and support team, everyone is helpful and caring. The rooms, community areas and corridors are spacious and feel like a cross between a high-quality hotel and a lovely, new, cosy home. Everywhere is always immaculate and clean and the food and snacks are excellent quality. The programme of activities are lovely and Dad enjoys joining in with some of them but it is also not compulsory, whilst the residents are encouraged, they don't have to take part. 100%, we would highly recommend Meadow Croft as a five-star, excellent Care Home!
Brand new home, like a good quality hotel, tastefully decorated. Lovely, functional rooms and accessible garden. Staff are all very accommodated to respite needs. Staff are flexible with pick up and collection.
Mum has been at Meadow Croft now for just over a month and she has settled in well. The staff are all lovely and compassionate and really take care of Mum. They arrange so many activities for the residents to join in and for the family and friends to attend as well. It is a beautiful place as well.
My father-in-law stayed at Meadow Croft to convalesce after having had an operation, from the minute of walking into the reception, we could not have been more impressed with the quality and the atmosphere, which carries on all the way through to the rooms, dining rooms and lounges. All the staff are amazing and so caring and welcoming, the food is exceptional and to restaurant standard and the whole care package is excellent value for money! It really does not feel like a care home at all and more of a high-quality hotel for the elderly. Wish they had been open when my father was alive and had to go into care, he would have loved it too.
Throughout December there was a calendar of events for residents which involved them all in the festive season. The home exuded an atmosphere of happiness and enjoyment, with decorations and entertainment. I was worried that my mother would feel abandoned by me as I'd arranged Christmas abroad but I needn't have worried as she was so involved in what was happening in the home that she didn't miss me. Mum has been a resident since the home opened and has never looked back. She is well cared for, has no complaints and speaks well of all the carers whenever I visit. She is much less anxious since moving in and is relaxed enough to enjoy the company of others. She has a group of ladies to chat with when she wants but also has the privacy of her room should she feel like some time to herself. I'd highly recommend Meadow Croft to anyone considering care for the elderly.
Dad moved into Meadowcroft in June at the age of 97, he needed a wheelchair or walker to move around. He is now able to walk using a walking stick now and then. His physical strength has improved and his overall condition has improved. I believe this is all down to the excellent care he receives from the staff at Meadowcroft not to mention the food. Thank you.
I couldn't be happier with the care my dad is receiving at Meadow Croft. The staff are extremely caring and manage my dad's dementia really well. My dad describes his experience as I feel like one of the family. The fabric of the building is lovely with garden walks when the weather allows. Highly recommended as an option for older loved ones who require care.
Very good. Much care.
Mum has just spent two weeks at Meadow Croft, a lovely new care home. Mum's experience has been positive from the initial contact and throughout her stay. All members of staff are professional, efficient and caring. The home itself is lovely, the bedrooms and communal areas are well-designed with different areas and uses. Mum enjoyed the dining experience and snacks during the day. Most importantly for us was being able to leave Mum with confidence, knowing her needs would be met and that she was being cared for by such nice, kind people. Mum is looking forward to staying there again for 'a holiday'.
