Regularly visit a friend who lives at Meadow View Residential Care Home and have noticed a huge change in the activities taking place in the home and the little touches being introduced to enrich the lives of the residents. It is really a lovely place and the staff are really caring and kind.
My 97-year-old grandmother spent the final three months of her life in Meadow View and the care and attention she was given was exceptional. I will be eternally grateful for their kindness and patience towards her as her health gradually declined. The staff at all levels within the home were amazing and were always quick to update me on any changes or concerns they had with her. I can never thank them enough and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a place for their loved one to be safe and well looked after.
Mum received exceptional care at Meadow View. It became her home very quickly. Our family was always impressed with the level of cleanliness and organisation, communication from the friendly team was second to none. Overall we could not be happier with Mum's care in this amazing home.
The girls and boys looked after my brother with great care, even when he went through difficult times and there were plenty and they were amazing. I will be forever grateful for their care. All the team are true professionals.
I would like to say my brother was in Meadow View Hersden for several years, the care and patience the staff showed him was amazing. We can’t thank them enough. Sadly he died but even in the end, they were the most caring anyone could ask for. I cannot thank them enough.
Mum went into repsite at Meadow View Care Home four times before she went into permanent care in November 2023. Each time she went in she was happy to return so we knew that we had got her in the right place now. She is very happy there and is well looked after and cared for. She always seems happy when we go in to see her every week. The staff are all friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
The staff are the stand out strength at Meadow View Residential Care Home. My mum is in her 90s, frail, but very with it and has been resident for 3 years. The staff are fantastic, the chef who drops into residents' rooms and makes time to chat about what they like and dislike, others who spend time doing nails (and telling mum about their lives at the same time), others who have popped in on their day off with their friend and their baby as mum just loves babies and another who had been told where mum went for her honeymoon and stopped off to take a photo when she was on holiday, got it developed and gave it to mum. She treasures it and it’s these little things which make residents feel valued and loved. I went in unannounced at midnight last week because Mum had been poorly and found a member of staff sitting in her room holding her hand because she was feeling low. The Meadow View team are really superb. Really glad CQC recognised the excellent manager and her team.
First-class service from start to finish. Very caring staff who took great care of my stepfather during his one-week respite care. Everything was very clean, lots of activities and could not fault. Ensuite rooms all well cared for and would not hesitate to place my stepfather in the home long term if the need ever arises.
The facilities were excellent. All members of staff were helpful, approachable, knowledgeable and caring. Communication regarding my mother's condition could not have been better. Although only a resident for a short period of time we could not have asked for more from the whole team at Meadow View.
Mum has been in Meadow View for nearly 5 months now and I cannot speak more highly of them. The management and staff are wonderful, cheerful, really caring and understand her needs. Mum mixes very well with the other residents and takes part in the activities. Meadow View is very good at communicating with the family and responds well and promptly if there are concerns. I have real peace of mind that Mum is in the best place possible. Thank you for everything you do for my mum. PS the food looks delicious, especially your cakes!
Fabulous visit. Dad looked well cared for. I also like the way we are let know of any falls etc to do with Dad, good or bad.
The staff at Meadow View care home are responsible and very caring. Thanks for looking after my dear wife.
Mum has dementia, such a hard decision for anyone to put their loved one into care. Meadow VIew has enabled Mum to still live independently, but with the help and guidance she needs. She has settled in quickly and is happy. Thank you all.
My husband recently spent a week at Meadow View for respite care; he has vascular dementia. This was our first experience of respite care and I was very anxious about how he would cope. The staff I met and spoke to prior to his stay were very helpful and were able to answer all the questions I had and put me at ease. The communal rooms are clean and bright and felt very comfortable. My husband's bedroom was spacious and had a walk-in shower and a toilet en-suite. There was an armchair and a TV in the room, so he could sit quietly if he chose to. The staff who welcomed him and settled him into his room when he arrived were excellent. They appeared to have a good understanding of his needs and I felt confident leaving my husband in their care. When I collected him at the end of the week it was obvious that he had built a good rapport with the staff who had been caring for him and I would have no hesitation in booking him in for further periods of respite care in the future.
This was my first visit to Meadow View. I was in the house for 1 and a half hours and saw only the entrance, screening room and my cousin's room. I met only two members of staff - so my knowledge and experience are limited. I was impressed by the pleasant and professional approach of the staff who received and screened us and the staff member who served tea. The home seems attractive and well run.
Mum seems very content and happy. I cannot thank the staff enough, especially after the last 18 months for being amazing.
I found the staff to be very caring and always pleased to speak to you about things. My brother seems very contented there, which is peace of mind for the family.
The management and staff at Meadow View Residential Care Home are very friendly and professional. There is always a warm welcome from the receptionist and the managers. The care staff are very passionate about looking after my mother and are always busy doing everything they can for her, nothing is too much trouble. The entertainments team, cleaning team, catering and maintenance teams are fantastic. Mum is always telling me how much she enjoys living at Meadow View and well she is looked after her which is a great comfort when it has been so difficult to get to see her because of the Covid restrictions. We are extremely grateful for everything they do for Mum. I have no hesitation in recommending Meadow View to anyone.
My dad spent a week in Meadowview for respite care and what a lovely experience for him and the family, it was his first time so we are nervous but the whole team was amazing, friendly, caring, and reassuring. Dad has a great time. The standard of care is excellent and all the staff are amazing. We will definitely be bringing him back. Thank you to all the staff at Meadowview.
