View Full Details of Merlin Manor Care CentreIn summary, Merlin Manor has become my second home, it's a place of joy and peace with such friendly and professional staff whose care and compassion know no bounds. It means so much to see such a wonderful environment for my best friend (a resident) whose home it has become. Thank you Merlin Manor.
The staff go over and above. The care is excellent.
I was a little unsure what to expect when Mam moved to Merlin Manor but I have to say she is so happy and well cared for. She stays in her room a lot and it is so cosy with lots of her own belongings around her. It is very clean and bright and the staff are very good and make sure she has everything she needs.
My mam is very well cared for, the staff are kind and welcoming, they know what my mam likes and dislikes and they spend time with her chatting and signing. There is always a member of staff (carers, nurse domestic or members of the kitchen staff) who will say hello to her and hold her hand. Thank you Merlin Manor.
I cannot write a review which exemplifies the dedication and pure resilience of the management team at Merlin Manor that have fought for my mam for over a month to receive the care she needs. I could never thank them enough for everything they have done, not only for her but the emotional support and excellent communication they have demonstrated to me and my family. Thank you also to the love, care and dedication of staff - don't know if I can name names but they know who they are. You have taken my mam into your family and love her like she is your own mam. I will never be able to thank you all enough.
I visted a family friend and the atmosphere was amazing. The staff were all in good spirits which echoes through the home. The home is immaculate and has a high standard, management welcoming and the door is always open. The residents all seem happy and are very well-kept. My visit was very pleasant and enjoyable. Good example of how a care home should be.
Overall Dad's care is good. Staff are friendly and make me feel happy to leave Dad in their care.
Mam was admitted as an emergency rehab placement and is now a permanent resident. She has settled in really well, is happy, content and well cared for by the staff at Merlin Manor who are all very caring, professional and polite. Mum's room is always clean and tidy. She loves to join in the activities that are really well organised. Keep up the good hard work team Merlin.
My visits to Merlin Manor are always a pleasure. My aunty is well looked after. Her needs and dignity are always taken into account. She is well looked after, her family are always greeted warmly and professionally. The home is well kept and well managed.
Came today to visit Dad after he was brought back from hospital following having a stroke. Spoke to the senior care assistant who was very pleasant and informative. Also spoke to her earlier in the week and again found her to be very informative and caring. Sorry for using names but she has been the best member of staff that we have had to speak to regarding dad and seems to have full understanding of his needs and how to care for him.
All staff have shown nothing but kindness, dignity and professionalism to both my dad and family throughout his stay. Thank you all so much, we have been blown away by your care and consideration during Dad's stay.
From moment we entered the building we knew this was the right place for our sister. From the management to all the grades of staff, we were all treated with the utmost courtesy and professionalism. No problem was too small for the staff to deal with. Thank you for looking after our sister through an extremely difficult time.
I love living in Merlin Manor, the manager and staff are lovely. There are a lot of things to do.
My sister has been in Merlin Manor since December 2023. She is very settled and very happy and loves the manager and staff.
Merlin Manor look after my mother who has been a resident for a couple of weeks. She is on end-of-life care and we have been welcomed at any time of the day or night. Some of the staff are exceptional, very caring and patient with our family. One problem we have encountered is gaining entry to the building and at times, leaving, as there are times when there is no one about to open the doors.
I was so against my mother going into a care home, and was very upset the night before she was transferred from hospital to Merlin Manor. But since she arrived I realised she was in a good place. Every single staff member bent over backwards to help Mam settle in and couldn't have cared for her more. They gave the same care to myself and my family, constantly asking if we needed anything and if we were alright. We had many hugs and a feeling of genuine care, from everyone from management to housekeeping. Most important has to be included in what was going on and what to expect next. The love and support and attention to care was outstanding and we will never forget.
Nice care home, my mam is well looked after, the care assistants are good, with two of them being the most wonderful carers we have had the pleasure to meet and we are so thankful they have cared for my mam. We are very grateful to Merlin Manor, lovely manager and have been wonderful during a very hard time we are going through.
We visited an old friend recently after being told they were now living in a care home and from the minute we walked in it was obvious that was the perfect word for it. All members of staff and management clearly showed that they cared for the people in their charge and were committed to their welfare. Thank you very much for what you all do daily for all the residents.
My second meeting with the staff. I find all the staff members the most caring people you want to have around when I am not at my best, caring, kind, the very sort of people to have around because nothing is too much for anyone. Very sparkling and the food is all well cooked - yum!
My mother is extremely comfortable in her room. She speaks highly of the staff and the care and support given. She does not have a big appetite but does enjoy the food and her tea and biscuits! The family feel that the staff and management team are very approachable.
