View Full Details of Middleton Lodge Care Home - Avery HealthcareWhilst my mother was living at Middleton Lodge, she was really well looked after. The staff were so kind and sensitive to her needs. Her room was of a generous size and nicely decorated. All the staff worked hard but were also pleasant and caring.
The care my grandmother receives at Middleton Lodge is excellent. All the staff who work there, including the care team, housekeepers, activity coordinators etc are all extremely friendly and welcoming. They go out of their way to ensure the residents are happy and safe and receiving the best care possible. The facilities are always very clean and tidy with lovely spacious bedrooms for the residents and nice common areas for them.
I've been living here at Middleton since April 2024 and I can truly say I have no regrets about choosing this care home. The staff do their best to give the place a nice/friendly atmosphere. Finding things for us to take part in must be a challenge, as everybody's tastes are different. Consistency that Middleton is only about 10 months old, the staff have provided us with quite a variety of activities to try. The food on offer hasn't always pleased all residents but the new chef is already looking good. We are looked after very well by the staff dealing with our medicines. I think anyone who chooses to live here will not be disappointed.
Mum has been a resident at Middleton Lodge for just over a year. After a very stressful start, Mum is now settled in her new home. The care home is beautifully furnished, always clean and the rooms are very spacious. The staff are absolutely wonderful - from a friendly greeting at reception/updates from the lovely staff, kind, approachable and down-to-earth manager - we couldn't ask for more! Mum rarely participates in activities but the lovely "Pink Ladies" are always organising wonderful things for the residents to take part in - they even had an "early doors" New Year's Eve party, which, to my delight, Mum actually attended and she was the happiest I have seen her in a very, very long time. Mum isn't a big eater and tends to sleep a lot (sometimes missing regular meal times) but the staff will ensure that she has something to eat anytime, day or night. I am confident that Mum is safe and being carefully looked after and we know we can visit at any time. Thank you.
I came to live at Middleton Lodge Care Home in March 2024. I am very happy here, I have made some lovely friends from both residents and staff. Most of the time I feel I am on holiday in a five star hotel. All the staff are caring and very helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them. There are lots of interests catered for so you can be busy or quiet as you choose. Your health and well being are well looked after.
My husband has been in Middleton Lodge for nearly a year. From not walking, no communication and not being able to eat properly, moving forward to December, he is walking slowly, eating well and most days very happy. He has severe Vascular Dementia. But this home is like a big hug, the staff are very caring, lovely place. He has also visited the mini Christmas Fair in the home in December.
Generally good but noisy atmosphere in dining room. Excellent cooking, but food is often cold. Service is sometimes slow.
Always brilliant. 10 out of 10.
I wish to thank all of the care staff, especially the three carers who looked after me when I had a fall and waited six and a half hours for the ambulance to arrive. I can highly recommend your care home to anyone needing respite.
Staff were all very pleasant and helpful. My second-floor room was lovely and everywhere well-furnished and comfortable. Number of pillows on bed was a nuisance and nowhere to put them as I only needed one. Meals were good on the whole but no menu on the second floor. The eggs at breakfast were always hard as they had to stand a long time. Some fresh fruit at breakfast would have been nice. Just teething troubles I think. Disabled parking needs to be monitored as it was abused.
The actual home is excellent. The cleanliness, food and drink are also excellent. Staff can only be as good as recruitment allows. Sometimes shortages cause hardship e.g. my friend being put into bed at 1:30 am.
I cannot recommend this home highly enough, it is lovely, clean and modern with caring supportive staff. My mum has been a resident at this care home for over 8 months. Mum reluctantly moved from her beloved bungalow into a home as she was no longer able to care for herself at home. She has found the transition very difficult, however the staff have been unfailingly supportive and kind to both Mum and our family.
My mother enjoyed her stay and all the family were happy with every aspect of her stay, the food was excellent - my mother's room was lovely the home was nice and clean the staff were helpful and kind and accommodating, all in all as a family we loved our mother staying in Middleton Lodge I would highly recommend to anyone who would like their loved ones to stay.
Very impressed with both the facilities and staff. Shout out to the general manager and the reception team for excellent customer service. Mom has just moved into care at Middleton Lodge and is settling in nicely with the help of top-notch staff.
My wife has been a resident at Middleton Lodge for almost two months. During this time I have found all aspects of this care home to be excellent. The management and staff have always been extremely helpful and friendly.
Mum moved into Middleton Lodge in May 2023 and is happy and settled. She is very well cared for, loved and known by all of the staff and carers. Any issues arising are dealt with swiftly and satisfactorily. Staff are always friendly and polite and treat Mum with respect and care. We can visit Mum whenever we want (and do many times each week), but we know that we can leave her happy in the knowledge that she is, and will remain, safe and looked after very well. Middleton Lodge feels like an extended family.
I moved into Middleton Lodge only a few days ago. I have found all staff to be friendly, happy and helpful. I have not yet had the opportunity to experience all the facilities i.e cinema, hairdressing. I have found all food to be appetising and nutritious. Coffee coffee-making machine is good, a treat for me. It is currently not possible for me to give a comprehensive assessment however things look very promising. Homes of this type are not cheap but I think Middleton represents good value for money.
An exceptional care home. The building itself is brand new and beautiful. Nothing about it says care home, it feels like a luxurious hotel. Tasteful decor and quality soft furnishings. Hallways are thoughtfully themed - i.e. holidays, movies, sports - prompting conversation and memories. Many different areas - lounges, libraries, coffee shop, cinema, salons and activity rooms. Dining rooms are perfectly appointed and the food is superb. Bedrooms are large and exceed expectations. The place is spotless - always! The staff work as a truly cohesive team. Everyone takes time to be present for their residents. I see evidence of this every visit. All staff demonstrate the true meaning of person-centered care. Middleton staff are special people - respectful and genuine. Finally, the activity team is outstanding. Residents can do as much or as little as they choose, there is always something going on. The range of activities is diverse and varied. We feel blessed to be here.
Simply awesome peace of mind knowing dad is happy and very well looked after, he's forever singing which is a sign he's happy and contented. He's made friends and really likes the staff who are all very good at their jobs. The festivities were so good, including us relatives joining in, we had Christmas lunch with my father which was beyond beautiful, the church coming into the home is very appreciated too. Lovely thoughtful touch.
This is 100% five-star care and provision. It's a great location for the city and surrounding areas, so really accessible for non-drivers. Mum initially came for respite and loved it so much decided to make it her home. As a family, we couldn't be happier with the support and care given by all staff. Its become a real family space as we get to know other families and residents. Also great entertainment.
