My mother came to Moore Place for respite. She was there for 3 weeks. On first arriving we were met by a lovely lady that made us very welcome. The place is clean, warm and very welcoming. During her time, Mum joined in with many activities and went on trips out. The whole experince was very positive and would have no hesitation in recommending Moore Place or returning if Mum needed long-term care.
Really enjoyed my 3 weeks respite care in Moore Place. The staff were lovely and made every effort to make me feel welcome. Had my hair done weekly and even had my nails field. Help with showering if needed. Food was well catered for and could be offered a choice if asked. Would stay here again if the need arose. Activities could be joined in whenever you felt you wanted to.
Excellent treatment during my stay here.
I enjoy the activities at Moore Place. The activities person is very good.
Today we had lovely entertainment a lade came to sing, other families were present. It was a lovely afternoon. The management and staff were all very helpful.
Staff are all very caring and Mum seems to be comfortable here. Staff try to encourage Mum to participate in events despite her dementia, which is good to see. The management have achieved outstanding results for this year, gaining a 10 for their care rating. The family are very happy with the level of care provided.
I really enjoyed today's entertainment.
Moore Place provides a safe and caring environment to all who live there. The residents are treated with respect and seen as part of a big family. The staff are all very friendly and provide a warm welcome to visitors.
I like Moore Place because, on the whole, it is very friendly. I enjoy the meals very much. The staff are helpful and approvable.
My mother is very complementary of all staff especially the personal care which is carried out with dignity and professionally. My mother sometimes needs encouragement to socialise and does enjoy the activities she attends. Minibus outings are an absolute highlight and a special mention to the driver who is an amazing communicator and fantastic martial of the group. All staff know my mother's name and are always cheerful and helpful. She is happy. The gardeners will be changing to take better care of the lovely garden.
All the outings I have attended I have enjoyed immensely and look forward to many more outings.
My mother aged 92 has recently moved to Moore Place from another more expensive care home. She is forgetful but in good health. Moore Place has been very beneficial to her, and she is much happier and busier than in her last home. In particular I would like to highlight the communal lounge/dining area. With the active encouragement of all the staff, she has spent far more time out of her room mixing with other residents. She regularly goes on excursions in the minibus, and she joins in many events and activities. The staff are excellent and as a regular visitor, I have seen their interaction with many of the residents and found them to be kind, supportive and encouraging. Staff are also constantly present in the communal area and the residents always have somebody to turn to. I could not be more pleased with Moore Pace and all the staff there.
I am very happy with the staff and the food also. The staff are very helpful. I enjoy the garden and all the activities. No complaints. Very happy being here.
Interesting, delightful trip to a cathedral. Really enjoyed it.
The care, love and attention for my sister could not have been better anywhere! Very hard to distinguish any one member of staff over anyone else. Efficiency and kindness throughout. Observance of her last wishes with very loving sincere handling.
Everything running smoothly and happy, all seem very happy and content. We all get on very well. The staff are very helpful.
Since I have been at Moore Place, I have very much enjoyed the various outings. For example; yesterday we went to Chessington Garden Centre, which is gearing up for Christmas.
Mum has been at Moore Place for about six years. It’s wonderful. The room, garden, common areas, food and activities are all absolutely excellent. But what really matters is the care, and Moore Place could not be better, from everything I have seen over all those years. All the staff are so kind, patient and understanding to Mum and all the residents. They treat her with love and dignity. It is obvious that they genuinely care. It feels totally safe - in everything from the physical environment to the training and responsiveness of the staff. Many have been there ever since Mum first arrived - which tells much about how very well managed it is. It is not for profit, so the motives are about care. They understand about dementia, which is extremely important as it is not uncommon and indeed is now gradually affecting Mum. They know the importance of family and friends and do everything possible to enable and encourage us to visit. I am hugely grateful and highly recommend it.
I have spent the last couple of months at Moore Place Care Home. Where I have been extremely well looked after by all the staff, regardless of the position they hold. I have been treated as a person and not just a number. If I have any problems, staff find the time to explain things to me. Trips out are arranged, including a trip last month to see a singer, what a treat. Thank you for caring for what was once a small thing but is now, unfortunately, more major. Thank you all.
I found the staff and management so very helpful and willing to do anything required. The overall service at Moore Place has been excellent.
