My dear Mum lived at the Manor for the last 9 months of her life. I have been so impressed by the friendliness, care, compassion and communication of each and every member of staff. Despite my Mum's limited mobility and medical conditions, she was made very comfortable and as pain-free as she has been in a number of years during her time there. The facility is immaculate throughout and has a high level of decoration and facilities available. She had a lovely view over the playing fields which she often commented on. The communication when any issues arise was as regular as required and I could tell that my Mum developed real friendship bonds with many of the staff and care team. The empathy, compassion and dignity with which she was treated in her final days were second to none and very much appreciated by myself and my family!
The manor is a fantastic facility with staff being ever so welcoming to everyone who crosses the threshold! The attention to detail from the amazing receptionist to the nurse in charge of the unit is flawless! There is no question too large or small every single little detail is taken care of! So absolutely glad that my loved one is being cared for in such a kind and loving setting! Thank you all at the Manor for being so fantastic at your roles.
My mum lived at The Manor for the last 22 months of her life. The ethos of the home shines through as one of trying to give residents a homely environment whilst attending to any extra caring and nursing needs. The staff exude kindness, professionalism, humour and intelligence, being attentive to the residents and the relatives, listening carefully to both, and always welcoming visitors openheartedly. When/if there were minor difficulties, they were dealt with politely and speedily. The building manages to be spacious, and also cosy, its numerous social areas being used for daily activities, ensuring that residents have opportunities to continue some of their interests in life. In contrast, the en suite bedrooms offer comfortable private space, with staff popping in regularly to meet any needs, or to just be friendly and say hello. I want to thank staff for helping Mum, family members and me, navigate the last part of my mum's life with such professionalism, tenderness and love.
We, the family, have been very happy with the care given to our mum. The staff are all very helpful and very kind. We have been notified if there has been a problem, no matter how small which we appreciate. The range of activities on offer is fantastic and I'm sure Mum benefits from them. Mum is happy that her room looks on to the garden, and often mentions it. The Manor is a very welcoming place to visit and nothing is a problem to the staff.
We chose this care home for the level of care they provide, the friendliness of the staff and the overall facilities available. Other family members have agreed they couldn’t have hoped for more from a care home!
The accommodation and grounds are very nice, clean, modern and well thought-out. Carers are friendly and helpful. The receptionist is extremely kind, thoughtful and caring. The bistro is a lovely place to sit, chat and have tea/coffee and cake. The gentleman who oversees the bistro is friendly and always happy to help.
My stepmother was only in your care for a month and in that time I was very impressed with the care that she was given. She was in a beautiful room, the staff were very attentive and kind and we were very taken with the facilities of the care home, although she was not well enough to enjoy them. Towards the end of her life, the staff were very good at keeping me informed of all that was going on.
Since my mum has come to stay in The Manor, she has begun to settle in. My mum responds very well with staff and they also relate well with her. Although my mum is not yet taking part in activities, I believe this will come in time. My mum is well cared for at The Manor and when I leave my mum I feel comfortable leaving her and know she is safe and settling bit by bit every day. The Manor is clean, the food is good and the staff appear to be happy in their jobs, all of which are important factors to run a great nursing home.
I stayed in The Manor for 9 days following orthopaedic surgery, hoping to help the recovery process without the stress of domestic matters. The care I received was second to none. The care and nursing staff were exceptionally kind and willing to help. Their attitude was positive and cheerful. I doubt I could have coped at home three days after surgery whereas at the home, help was available by pressing a button. I would have no hesitations in recommending The Manor for respite, convalescence or residence.
From the moment you enter The Manor, you receive a warm welcome and know that this is somewhere special. My mother was admitted in December 2022 and unfortunately, did not live long enough to fully benefit from the care at The Manor. I cannot praise highly enough the staff at all levels for the care and attention both my mother and myself and my husband received. Everyone went above and beyond. I would highly recommend The Manor.
I visited my relative and she told me she played bridge on Tuesday afternoon. It's hard to say how delighted I was to hear this, she enjoyed it enormously, as did the others playing with her. She told me how happy she is at The Manor and she cannot think of anything that could be done to improve it. What an enormously reassuring statement this is for us.
Having been a visitor regularly for a few years now, I can say in all honesty that my husband seems settled and happy with the status quo. I find that the staff care for him and myself very well.
I have found the care and friendliness of the staff to be all I could hope for. The food is good and varied. I have no complaints.
It was my first experience of respite care and I was very pleased it was so enjoyable. I found the staff very caring and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. My room was very clean and comfortable and my visitors were made very welcome. Hopefully, I will be able to return for further respite.
A lovely and friendly positive team of staff. Good and flexible care that is based on patients' individual needs. A clean environment. They are respectful of patients and welcoming to family visitors. My Dad is calm, clean and comfortable here.
Our mother was living in the Manor care home and moved into the home during covid times. The staff were caring, attentive, kind and patient with her at all times. I have the utmost respect for all the staff in the Charlotte Suite and want to say a big thank you to each and every one of them who looked after our mum.
Come to visit our grandma for her 90th birthday. The staff couldn't have done more and made us feel welcome. Great to know that she is being taken care of so well.
Absolutely outstanding care and facilities. The staff are wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble. Thank you.
Whilst the standard of care, quite naturally, varies from person to person, I am generally satisfied with the care I am receiving at The Manor. However, the quality of the food could be improved upon to match my personal tastes.
My father was brought here under unusual circumstances. His wife refused to have him home from the hospital after having Covid. He doesn't want to be here and thinks he's going home. Staff understand this and take it day by day with him. Without exception, all I have witnessed is a caring and patient attitude from all the staff. Any concerns or care requirements are attended to shortly after I have raised them, The food smells great! My dad's room always seems clean and tidy. My only concern ongoing is that my dad doesn't get enough exercise to stop his bad knee from getting worse.
