View Full Details of Olive Tree HouseMy husband was made very welcome at Olive Tree House, from the start and despite his Dementia he settled well quite quickly. The nursing and care staff were good, they listened to us and acted on any concerns we had. When the inevitable happened the end of life care was compassionate towards him and his family.
I found the staff very polite and friendly and they look after my mate very well. I also found the place is very clean and tidy and I would recommend it to anybody.
My wife has been in care since March 2024. I have found the carers to be excellent, courteous and very helpful. Activities are very good and pantomime excellent.
Most care was very good, just a shame dad fractured him arm when with you. On leaving they have not given us any information on dad and where he is at now and any changes in him. Plus I just found out that you have permanently taken him off the doctors he has been with. I was told dad doctors would change but only on temporary bases, now dad is without doctors until I get to doctors to get form and fill out, but as I don't know doctors you use will have to sort that out.
As you walk into this care home there is such a warm, cosy feeling! The staff are attentive to the residents' needs and are warm and welcoming. The activities team I want to particularly shout out as the activities they offer the residents are above and beyond. I would 100% recommend this care home.
I have now visited my friend at Olive Tree House a few times. The home is warm and bright with a nice atmosphere. Every staff member I have spoken to during my visits is very friendly and nothing seems too much trouble for them when I ask for assistance during my visits. I really appreciate the way my friend is being looked after. Thank you.
Mum's arrival at Olive Tree House was a same-day emergency placement and the home could only offer a room on their dementia floor, which Mum didn't suffer. However, all the implications such as being able to lock her door and the noise from other residents were carefully explained to us beforehand. The staff were very caring and attentive and did what they could to make Mum feel safe and comfortable. Without prompting, when a room became available on a non-dementia floor, Mum was offered a move, which she accepted. The move was once again handled professionally and sensitively, and the staff on her new floor all came to introduce themselves and make Mum feel welcome. Mum spent her final two weeks here, where. Once again the staff were caring and respectful. Throughout Mum's stay, the nursing team too were thoughtful, knowledgeable and caring. Thank you to all for making Mum's last few weeks and her passing as good as it could have been. I have no hesitation in recommending this home.
The staff are all lovely everyone always greets you when you arrive and always take the time to answer any queries or update you if necessary, this is from a cleaner right up to and including management. Throughout the building, everything is clean and visually appealing. The only area I would mention, but appreciate this relies on staff being available, is that regularly there are the same residents sat in the lounge every day with only the TV playing music in the background. I do not know their particular circumstances and I've never seen any visitors for them but feel that they are not being stimulated unless there is an activity going on.
The staff at Olive Tree House is excellent. They look after my husband very well and the coordinator is brilliant. Well done to her!
I have found the care, nursing and management staff to be very professional and compassionate. My mother eventually settled in and any little issues were quickly addressed. There seems to be a good staff-to-resident ratio and I feel that Mum is safe in the care of Olive Tree. There are activities most days and Mum has made some friends which is good.
On Saturday 27th July a family day was organised in the garden of Olive Tree House. There was entertainment, food and refreshments provided. It was an excellent afternoon for residents and family, the staff did an excellent job of keeping everyone happy and safe.
The care my father has received over the past 3 plus years has been fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble. All of them without exception genuinely care about the happiness and well-being of the residents. When you have to take the decision to put a loved one into care, the worry, stress and anxiety that comes with it is sometimes overwhelming. I can not thank Olive Tree House enough for taking this stress away from me. Seeing my Father happy, cared for and engaging in activities was such a relief.
My wife was admitted in March and I was quite worried concerning her care, however on my first visit I was very impressed with the overall excellence of this facility. The staff are friendly, helpful and above all compassionate. She has a lovely room on the top floor so the views are great! My wife was in 2 other care homes last year (2023) but their standards were sadly wanting. Since she has been here she has enjoyed working with the staff and enjoying the entertainment provided. Many thanks for your care.
My husband went into the Olive Tree House in November 2023. The support from the management and care team has been excellent. My husband is now beginning to settle down and has been very well looked after by all the staff caring for him. I, myself, have been welcoming warmly when I visit him. I appreciate all the dedicated care given.
Olive Tree House displayed wonderful compassion over the Christmas period. Making it extremely comforting for my first Christmas without my husband at home.
I am delighted to share my review of the care home that is looking after my father. This is a fantastic home and as a family, we are immensely grateful for the exceptional care provided. The staff at this care home are truly remarkable, consistently dedicated and compassionate, going above and beyond. They have formed a genuine bond with Dad, ensuring he is feeling comfortable and loved. Communication with the family has been excellent with updates regarding his care. This care home is a gem, exceeding our expectations. They have made Dad feel nothing is too much trouble. Keep up the good work.
On entering my room for the first time, it had been decorated and smelt fresh. I was made welcome by the manager and members of her staff helped me move in. Once settled in, each member of staff told me what role they played in keeping the care home functioning. I was very impressed and to have 24-hour care ticks all the boxes and I have made some very good friends indeed.
Being in other care homes and assisted living, I find this one to be much better. The care I receive is brilliant, and the carers are all very helpful and friendly. I am really happy here! One comment I have is although the food is lovely, I don't actually eat that much, so I don't want you to think I am ungrateful - I just don't need that much food.
Olive Tree House is a lovely and great place for residents. The love and support from the care staff is wonderful. Great person-centred care, great management team. Thank you, staff, for all that you do, most especially during the time of covid, the care was remarkable.
Mum has been a resident since June 22. She has had good care with lovely, friendly and caring staff and has settled into her new home very well, making it a pleasurable experience for the family.
