View Full Details of Park View Nursing HomeMum has been in Park View Nursing Home for three months and, after an unsettled beginning, appears to have settled well into the care of the home. All staff appear to be very able, considerate, and professional in the way they approach mum, and she seems to be happy with her surroundings, the food and the careful way she is looked after.
My sister has been resident since July 2024 who requires 24 hour nursing care. She has received nothing but the best of care from the nursing staff, care assistants, cleaning and laundry staff, entertainment personnel who even decorated her room for Christmas . Everybody is so kind and considerate and even the reception staff welcome you and nothing is to much for them. As a family, this has turned out to be the best decision we could have made for our sister's care and we are so happy we can go away knowing she is being catered for. We have not nothing but high praise for everyone at Park View Nursing Home and would not hesitate to recommend this facility.
Our relative has settled very well in Parkview. She receives excellent nursing care, the accommodation is good, food is good. We are particularly impressed by the work of the activities organisers who put so much energy and creativity into providing stimulating, varied and accessible activity programmes for all residents. We feel this is so important for the mental health and wellbeing of all residents. We are always made to feel welcome when we visit.
What a wonderful care home Parkview is, my father-in-law has been here since January 2024, he has settled in great. All the staff from the manager to nurses, care staff, cleaners, chef, kitchen assistants, activity assistants are all so kind and friendly. It's kept very clean, and food looks amazing. I would highly recommend this care home if you want a "5 star" place for your loved ones.
Such a lovely home from home for Mum. Plenty to do with no force so if she needs time in her room she can have it. The staff are amazing and feel like friends. Mum having her own ensuite was a must so Park View has it all.
Park View offered my uncle a warm environment with staff who cared for his welfare. The care team provided outstanding care and treated him as family and with dignity. The catering staff went above and beyond to accommodate his dietary needs with freshly prepared home-cooked food. Housekeeping kept his room spotless and his laundry immaculate. The manager and her team are professional, caring, friendly and warm.
Park View is amazing. We were looking for respite care for Mum and visited a number of places but when we were shown around by the Manager we knew this was the one. The staff all go above and beyond and nothing is too much trouble. Mum has been in the home for two weeks now and we can all see a difference in her, she is even taking part in some of the activities. All the food is homemade and Mum is really enjoying this, along with the company of new friends she has made and the staff who work here. I cannot thank everyone at the home enough for helping her settle in and as she is enjoying herself so much she has decided to stay a little longer.
Looking for respite care for Mum was very daunting we visited a number of care homes and decided on Park View. From the moment we walked in we knew this was the one! All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The manager showed us around and she was so understanding about the situation we were in reassuring us that they would take good care of Mum. The home is spotless and is such a lovely environment every member of staff we have met is very caring and really look after the residents. Mum was staying for 2 weeks but she is having such a lovely stay she wants to stay longer. She loves the homemade food all freshly prepared but most importantly loves the fuss and attention the staff make with her. She has made lots of friends and is enjoying joining in the activities. We have noticed a huge change in her and we are so pleased knowing that she is safe. Big thanks to all the staff for looking after Mum so well and for making us feel like part of a big happy family every time we visit.
From the moment we met with the manager and given the tour/background about Kingsley I felt this would be an ideal place for my mother-in-law. I have to say that the care she has received has been second to none all the staff have been exceptional. She absolutely loves the food and the wide choices available to her. Her medication is given at the same times every day which was something of an issue while at home and was causing her anxiety, constantly panicking that she had missed taking them even though she had. She has not mentioned her medication once to us since being at Park View. Park View have made my mother-in-law feel so welcome and have encouraged her to get more involved in daily activities and meet new friends. She seems more at ease as the days have gone by and I would say that she has settled in nicely. Well done all of you and thanks for making something as daunting as putting a loved one into care that much easier.
I returned from holiday expecting to see Mum a bit deflated as I had been away! But how wrong I was. She was laughing, joking with other residents, having a game of 'higher or lower' with giant cards. The whole group of residents were involved, each supporting each other! I can actually say Mum and other residents enjoy their time at Park View. The care, attention, food and staff make it second to none. I know she was safe and well cared for.
Excellent. It was my relative's birthday on 31/07/24 and the care and attention were second to none as is the care throughout her residency.
I'd like to thank the lovely Park View staff for looking after my mum with dignity and care during her short residency there. The care and support were of the highest standard and the home's facilities, food and activities were excellent. The level of professionalism from the staff and genuine love and warmth helped us know we had chosen the right place for my mum. Thank you.
Our dear mum was a resident at Park View from when it opened until she sadly passed away in April 2024. She was happy and felt loved by all the staff. The care, surroundings and delicious food were excellent. All staff had a rapport with Mum. She also loved the various activities and entertainment, especially the sing-a-longs. She was so delighted to 'switch on' the Christmas lights at a very special Christmas concert given by local school children. We will always be grateful to the staff for the love and respect they gave our beautiful mum.
My friend is very happy at Park View. She is well cared for and when I visit I can see that everybody genuinely cares and goes above and beyond to ensure the service is exceptional. The food is restaurant quality, with so many choices, nothing is too much trouble for the catering team. The home manager is always available to help, she's approachable, knowledgeable and empathetic. Every person working at Park View is invested in making sure that the resident is the main priority and focus at all times. I cannot recommend Park View highly enough.
A beautiful care home both in its structure/architecture and the standard in which the staff care for its residents, All aspects of life and care in this home, food, activities, interactions, gardens, knowledge, staff, dementia care. This is the place.
As is the normal experience of a relative needing to find a bridge for care between hospital and home at short notice. Park View was the only local home with vacancies. A quick look on the website showed a CQC report 'needs improvement' across the board. This was far from our experience. I have experience through work in care settings and this is by far the best. Our experience was outstanding, nothing to fault, I would like to book in for a couple of weeks respite now!
My aunt has received excellent care and is being looked after very well. All the staff are very friendly and very caring. Park View is wonderful in every respect and I cannot thank the staff enough. My aunt was admitted on end-of-life care and now she is out of bed and joining in the activities, an amazing place.
I can’t thank the whole team at Park View enough, they go the extra mile to ensure that all the residents are really comfortable and well looked after. There is a good atmosphere as soon as you go into the reception area, you are made to feel welcome by all the staff. There are plenty of events organised by the excellent entertainment staff, they ensure that all the residents are never allowed to get bored. The cleaning staff do a great job, the whole place is spotless. Nursing staff are always at hand to assist with any health issues. The food is fabulous, the residents really look forward to meal times. Big thanks to all the management for running such a wonderful care home.
Where do I start when I think about Parkview? The staff - from the domestics, chefs, carers, nurses, front of house and management - nothing is ever too much for them, always approachable, friendly and professional. They are so supportive, and they take time to actually get to know the resident as a person and not just a name. The home is always presentable, clean and fresh, and that also includes the rooms. There are resident lounges, which we can use when we visit and coffee areas. A whole range of activities are offered each week - music, games, entertainment – everything that you would want for your loved one. The food is first class, and it always smells amazing and 'tempting' when I visit. I couldn’t recommend Parkview highly enough.
My mother is a resident at Park View Care home, sometimes she's fine but she kept asking where is my late father. Anyway I find this care home is good for my mother, but she keeps repeating where is her house and wants go home, it's a risk for her to go back to her own house. I found the carers are nice. She kept asking why she was here, she threw water at the nurse and assaulted me. When she woke up, she cannot remember assaulting me. I was shocked.
