View Full Details of Park View GloucesterJust wanted to say a big big thank you to ParkView and all it staff with looking after my mum for over 3 years. The care, support, and overall state of the residence was absolutely outstanding. The staff are so caring and really do everything they can, every minute of the day to support the residents. The home is first class in terms of facilities and all of the services they offer. We are so thankfull for the support they gave, this is the best facility that I have heard of and seen in Gloucestershire.
My husband and I went into Park View initially for respite care, I had been caring for him at home, but had fallen and broken my wrist. Park View were extremely helpful and efficient at dealing with his and I returned home, but my husband is still there and will remain there. We were both very impressed by the warmth, friendliness and efficiency of all the staff, nothing was too much trouble.
The food and nursing staff were all excellent. I was well looked after and cared for. I would certainly come again if it was possible.
A very good place to go for respite care.
Having given Park View excellent ratings in all categories, there is little I can add except to say that I enjoyed a lovely, lovely stay.
I stayed at Park View for one week until the 2nd of June. I found the freedom of movement unexpected and welcome. The carers were hard-working and kind, nothing seemed to be too much trouble for anyone, which was very much appreciated, as I am quadriplegic. All in all I found from both an experience and a value for money viewpoint, excellent value for money.
My husband has been in the above for 2 weeks' respite. The condition of the inside and outside is immaculate. Every member of staff is a credit to the company. Kind, caring and respectful, nothing was too much trouble. His room had everything he required and more, it was spotless. Thanks for giving me a break knowing my husband was safe and cared for.
Mum stayed with you for six weeks whilst we went to visit our daughter in Japan. The care and attention she received was excellent. She came out of herself and joined in lots of activities rather than just staying in her room watching TV as she does at home. We received regular updates from them and they also updated Mum on what we were doing from our social media posts. We were able to relax and enjoy our holiday knowing Mum was safe and in such good hands.
Mum seemed very happy here. Everywhere was lovely and clean. Also, all staff were very friendly. Everyone seemed very relaxed and happy.
This was my first experience of my respite stay for five weeks. When I reached to Park View management greeted me and took me upstairs to my room. The staff are very good. Very clean. Very nice place stay. Enjoy a lot with the staff and residents. Best care home, I enjoyed doing activities.
This was my first experience of respite care, and I was looked after extremely well. Activities were fun, food was marvellous, and I made many new friends. The only downside was that I found the bed a little uncomfortable, but apart from that, I would recommend a stay to anyone. Thank you, and hope to stay again soon.
I was pleased to be with such caring people who are looking after my husband. The staff are doing a very good job. I was not able to give him the attention he needed.
For ten days at Park View, the care Dad received was excellent. The staff kept Dad clean and comfortable and treated him with dignity. The staff kept us well-informed and made time to chat with us when we visited.
I stayed at Park View for 5 weeks recovering from a shoulder operation. I had a pleasant room with a good view and comfortable fittings. The staff were always attentive, friendly and helpful and frequently made time to ensure I was comfortable and happy and that I could participate in activities if I wished. I will most certainly sue Park View again if I need to.
Massively exceeded expectations. Facilities are superbly thought out and care from every member of the team is absolutely exemplary. When a volunteer went out to get me my favourite ice lolly, I knew I had hit the jackpot. The main thing is that after 2 weeks of respite care at Park View, all my family and friends commented that I had improved significantly during my short stay. This set me up for a successful return home and I have continued practices picked up whilst at Park View. I would say here again without hesitation and indeed, would look forward to it. Thank you Park View for getting me 'back on my feet' so to speak. Highly recommended.
My husband and I stayed together on floor 3 at Park View for respite and rehabilitation. My husband had been in hospital with a UTI. I had had two falls and had damaged my back. My husband then had a fall at Park View and returned to the hospital for a hip operation. He was discharged from hospital back to floor 2 for more comprehensive care due to his loss of mobility and weight. I stayed on floor 3 where I received excellent and flexible support both to regain my mobility and to support me in helping my husband on floor 2 to eat and regain weight and muscle capacity. My husband often commented on the kindness of the young men and women staff dealing with his personal care and response to requests made as did the admin staff at the reception desk.
From the very start of the process of arranging my parent's respite care the staff at Parkview were excellent. We were in a very difficult situation and needed a fast efficient response and got one from the duty manager and operations manager. My Mother was accommodated on the third floor and my Father on the second floor for a period of around 10 weeks for respite. All members of staff that I dealt with and encountered, without exception, were friendly, helpful and professional. My father flourished and my mother recovered from her fall to full health. The support the admin team offered me during this time was second to none and continued even after Mum and Dad had left the facility. My wife accompanied me on some of my visits, she is a critical care nurse and was very complimentary about the level of service, my daughter is a care in the community officer and she was also very impressed when she visited her grandparents. I would wholeheartedly recommend Parkview.
Staff are always very helpful and caring. Always lots of staff on duty. Food is good and Mum has put on weight. Coffee shop area excellent use of space for residents and visitors. Excellent help with appointments. Mum is taken over to the quays in the local city for coffee frequently.
My room was very hot. The staff that visited me mentioned how hot and stuffy it was in my room, despite having two fans. The windows could only open about "3 or 4", so not enough fresh air could come in to coll me. Why can't they open wider?
Very welcoming staff on all counts. Very clean rooms. Food second to none and nothing is too much trouble. Facilities are excellent all round. Secure accommodation for residents. Lots of entertainment to suit everyone and people aren’t forced to join in. Park View is in a brilliant location, easy access on a bus route for those who don’t drive - secure car park on site. The coffee area away from the rooms is very relaxing. This care home is more like a hotel.
