View Full Details of Parklands LodgeTook residence in September 2024. Very happy living here.
Fantastic, love the place. Staff, nurses, everyone are so kind. I've never had a problem, everything has been great. P.S. I wish I could stay longer.
New, interesting 4-week menu was introduced, but very quickly, we were back to the weekly boring menu.
Mum has been at Parklands Lodge for a couple of months now and so far I have been nothing but impressed with the level of care she has received. Nothing is too much trouble. I normally visit with my young French Bulldog Cherry and she is always welcomed by staff and residents alike, with her always the centre of attention. Keep up the good work!
I have been here since July 2024 for residential care. I have found the staff and management kind and supportive. Everyone is very friendly. The food is good and the rooms are light and airy.
After having a full knee replacement and living on my own since my wife passed away suddenly in June 2024 my daughter felt that I needed to be in a safe environment with personal help during the first couple of weeks. She proved to be correct and this was certainly provided by Parklands Lodge. All the staff were pleasant, friendly, and constantly aware of my needs right from the beginning of each new day. I could not have managed at home on my own so thank you to all the staff for getting me over those first two weeks and making my stay at Parklands Lodge so pleasurable.
Since I arrived at Parklands Lodge Care Home I keep thinking that I have died and gone to heaven. Delicious made-from-scratch meals, world cup, gold medal, first-class care. All the staff from cleaners to manager are lovely caring staff. The other care homes will never ever compare to this superb care home. Absolutely nobody. Definitely well worth every penny. Parkland Lodge Care Home: the absolute best care home.
Very pleased with the service and staff.
We had a lovely afternoon of entertainment celebrating Parklands Lodge's 8th birthday. All of the residents looked like they were thoroughly enjoying the day. Well done Parklands team.
Very good, always clean and the staff are always happy to help.
Staff are all very helpful. My mum is happy with the food.
Bright and airy building, with plenty of light and space. Got residents to move around safely in view of staff. Staff pleasant and helpful.
I have been coming here for a few months now, as I have/take out one of our service users and have met a lot of the staff who are really helpful and friendly. The reception staff are really helpful and can't do enough for my service user. Your teams are a credit to your company, and the client loves it here!
My family have visited Parklands on many occasions to visit a much-loved family member. Today's experience was the best ever! The welcoming staff and hospitality we received were so lovely and well-organised by the whole team. Thank you for making the Christmas event truly spectacular for us and all the other residents who clearly enjoyed themselves.
Our mum went into Parklands Lodge nursing home in November after an eight-week stint in hospital. From the onset, she settled down very quickly. The staff are friendly and attentive and keep their eye on the patients which is imperative for dementia. The food is wonderful, as are the chefs! I would recommend this home without hesitation.
Changes in staff result in a lack of communication and excessive use of agency staff at all levels.
My mother never wanted to move into a home because of a bad experience in a home for respite after an injury. However, she is extremely happy and says she feels well cared for. It takes a lot of stress off me because I don't need to worry about her anymore now she's here. Thank you.
My grandad loves living in here. Everyone is always happy and happy to help whenever needed. Lovely home and would highly recommend it.
You have replied to my previous email regarding my mums care. But you have not addressed my complaint regarding no expression of bereavement, eg card, phone call from the people and institution who “cared” for her during the last months of her life. I appreciate that you are running a business as well as a care home but surely some sort of protocol should be in place when a resident passes away? Otherwise it just appears that you don’t “care” and are just concerned with the funding aspect. As for staffing, isn’t continuity and familiarity important for elderly residents?
We transferred Mum to Parklands in October 2022 from another care home. We wish we had moved her sooner. The difference in Mum has been amazing. She is so much calmer, less anxious, feels safe, has put on weight and her hair has grown back. All the staff have contributed to this change in Mum's health and we can't thank them enough. They are a very kind, dedicated team of people who care not only for the residents but for their relatives and friends. Moving a loved one to a care home is an emotionally difficult experience but the staff at Parklands have helped us through the hard times. As for the visits from the Alpacas....fantastic!
