View Full Details of Parris LawnMy husband has been a resident in Parris Lawn since March 2023, so coming up for 2 years! In all the time I can only thank and praise the staff for their continuing care for him, even managing to get a smile out him! A rare thing nowadays with his complex condition, but so so lovely when it happens! For me it's taken so much of the worry and stress away knowing he's receiving the very best care at all times.
Mum has been in Parris Lawn for over year now and gets on very well with the carers, they all love her. The team are all very friendly and make me feel very welcome every week. I wish mum would join in some activities but she is shy when mixing with people. She enjoys having her hair done each week in the hair salon. Mum enjoys her food most of the time and the chef is very accommodating to mum's needs with regards to food. Always smiling faces when I walk into reception.
Dad has been made to feel very welcome by the friendly caring staff at Parris Lawn. Communication is very good and there are always nurses/carers and staff available to talk about his needs and any medical issues. The home worked together with us to ensure that there was a smooth stress free transition from hospital to the home.
The team have been very understanding about timings in terms of admission dates. Now my mother is there she is receiving great care. It's lovely to go and see her. This is also commented on by her other visitors.
I visit my father 3/4 times a week for the last 3 months, purpose built home so lends itself well for access and facilities. Rooms are all a generous size and all ensuite, care seems good and always a nurse on duty on each floor. Any queries or issues dealt with promptly and impressed with the level of care my father receives. I have eaten there myself 3 times and a good selection of quality food provided. A real nice gesture was the offer for my wife and 3 children to have Christmas lunch on a private lounge on Christmas day free of charge, this made it so much easier for all and again a nice meal delivered.
We moved our Mum to Parris Lawns last week from a nearby care home. This is like a different world compared to our other experiences. The place is beautiful, and the staff are committed, skilled, passionate and all-out wonderful. My Mum, who has advanced Dementia, has started smiling again which is just so amazing. She has settled in incredibly well and the whole family is made to feel welcome. On Mum's second day of being moved at very short notice, the chef managed to bake a beautiful cake which was presented by the whole care team and residents. Mum smiled again and felt like a valued person with a life worth living once again. We are very grateful to all at Parris Lawn for their ongoing care, they are like angels.
My mother has recently moved to Parris Lawn from another local facility, who seriously let us down. A smile from my mum has come to be a very rare thing, unfortunately, and I had just put it down to her condition. However, since being placed at Parris Lawn, she hasn't stopped smiling. It's quite obvious that this is a response to the happy vibes and patient professionalism at Parris Lawn. Words can't describe how relieved I am to see my mum smile at this late stage in her condition and I will be forever grateful to the staff here for giving me that priceless feeling.
My mum came to Paris Lawn in October 2024 following her discharge from hospital. We knew that she was in the very final stages of her life when she arrived at Paris Lawn and she was there for two weeks before she died. All the staff made my mum feel very safe and well cared for. They were reassuring, calm, caring and friendly. Very professional and we felt like she was in good hands. It was such a relief to feel confident that she had the 24-hour care that we were unable to offer. They offered her the food that she was able to eat, which was very limited, but kept us supplied with drinks. Staff kept us informed when her condition deteriorated and stayed with her throughout the night, ensuring that she was comfortable and pain-free. A huge thanks to the staff at Parris Lawns for taking such excellent care of my mum in the final days of her life.
My Mom came to Parris Lawns for 2 weeks of respite care in October 2024, after becoming very unwell at home. My Mom loved Parris Lawns as soon as she arrived. All the staff were welcoming and friendly and she was getting 5* care. There are nurses on hand 24/7 which puts her mind at rest and they know how to treat her pain (terminal cancer - secondary breast cancer), she felt very safe and more importantly, cared for. She wasn't eating well before but now, with beautiful meals served to her 3 times a day, she told me she's never eaten so well. The respite care was extended for another 2 weeks as she didn't feel safe to go back to her flat. We have now secured a permanent residence for her and she is part of a community of residents and staff who are wonderful. As her daughter, it has been such a weight off my mind to know that she has round-the-clock care by professionals and that she is much happier now being at Parris Lawns. Thank you Parris Lawns for the great job you do.
My sister came to Parris Lawn after a gallbladder operation. The Home found out how to care for her specific needs and helped her on her road to recovery. The carers were excellent and it was very easy to deal with all the staff at Parris Lawn; whether on the nursing/caring side or the management side.
Mum arrived at Parris Lawn after discharge from Eastbourne Hospital and has been there for approximately 5 months. We chose Parris Lawn because it was a modern, purpose-built nursing home that was able to provide the care that Mum needed. I and other members of the family, when visiting have always felt very welcome and there is a good atmosphere in the home, staff always being polite and friendly. The care received seems to be very good and have felt no need to question the standard the care that Mum receives, with Mum always looking comfortable and well cared for. Her room is always clean and warm. As a family, we are very happy.
My mother moved to Parris Lawn in the autumn of 2021. My brother and I chose Parris Lawn after visiting a wide range of other care homes and carefully comparing them and their suitability for Mum (and us). Parris Lawn was our clear choice, a choice which we have never regretted or questioned ever since. Mum has received excellent care and attention from all staff members. We always feel welcomed and 'at home' when we visit. Communication from the care home team is regular and clear. The building is always clean, organised, and accessible. Housekeeping is outstanding and catering is very considered and impressive.
As always, the Parris Lawn Team are very welcoming and thorough with their admission process. It is very reassuring that my husband is in safe hands. Some of the forms are a bit misleading and could have a bit more clarity - especially if family/next of kin are signing on behalf of a resident. My husband always comes away in good form and seemingly has had a good experience. Thank you Team Parris Lawn!
My Mother has been a resident at Parris Lawn for just over a year and the care she has received has been excellent. As someone with Alzheimer's, she needs special care and understanding. I value the regular phone calls from the nurses to update me on Mum's health and any issues. After the initial settling-in period, Mum seems more content and comfortable now than she has been for several years. Mum really enjoyed a recent entertainment from a Glyndebourne opera singer, along with most of the residents, family and friends. Well done Parris Lawn!
Wonderful care home, this is our first experience of anything like this and it was very worrying and stressful having to move my mum! The home is run in a professional caring way and the staff genuinely care for all the residents so well. Mum has settled well and is very happy there. Thank you for all your hard work Parris Lawn.
My parents both moved to Parris Lawn in August 2023 and they immediately felt at home. My mother has Alzheimer's but my father had all his faculties; the staff cared for them both with the appropriate level of care for their individual needs. Dad very much enjoyed his relationship with all the staff and they helped make his time at Parris Lawn so enjoyable. Since Dad's unexpected passing, the care and compassion towards Mum has continued and I was moved by the love and support shown to my brothers and me when Dad died; very much proof that the staff are not just carers by title, they genuinely care about their residents. It was not an easy decision for Mum and Dad to make such a huge transition to moving into care but all the staff at Parris Lawn have made it very much the right decision.
My godmother moved into care in June 2024. She has Dementia and had been living independently previously. She was not in favour of a move into residential care but the management and staff at Parris Lawn have ensured the transition has gone as smoothly as possible. It's early days yet but the signs are very good and she is now beginning to regard Parris Lawn, as her permanent home.
Parris Lawn provided exceptional end-of-life care for my darling mum. The kindness and professionalism of their staff made an extremely difficult time for our family more bearable. We will always be grateful that she spent her final days in an environment where she was treated with such dignity and compassion.
My mother returned to Parris Lawn Care and Nursing Home whilst I was on a two-week holiday in late May 2024, as Mum had done in February 2024 when I was also away on holiday. My mother can't fault the care of the staff at Parris Lawn and everyone can't do enough to assist you with absolute kindness. On the day of arrival, we both received a large embrace from one of the managers to welcome us back. Mum enjoyed a daily shower and a hair wash as she needed, at least twice a week. Clothes left in the shower room are whisked away to be washed, dried and ironed. Plenty of clean towels and flannels too in the shower room. The food is also of good quality and my mother enjoyed having the choice of eating her meals in her room or in one of the two eating venues provided. A very happy experience for my mother whilst I was away enjoying my travels this time in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan
My mother is extremely well cared for. Staff checking she’s well and comfortable on a regular basis. There are plenty of opportunities to integrate with other residents. We are so pleased that we selected Parris Lawn as our mother’s home.
