View Full Details of Pingley Court Care HomeI am overall very happy with the care my mum gets at Pingley Court Care Home. They do activities which stimulates the mind and passes the time on. Her room is always clean but her drawers need sorting out more often. She always seems happy and she gets her hair and nails done, which I'm happy about. Most of the staff are caring and lovely and she gets on with them. The food is plentiful and good.
Having been in the care home for just over 1 year, I am very pleased with the care and attention my wife has received. I think all the crosses in the relevant options speak for themselves and that there is no reason to write anything else as they speak for themselves.
Even though it was Mum's decision to move into Pingley it took her some time to get used to her new environment considering she had lived in her home for 69 years. However, the manager and all her staff did everything possible to make her feel safe and comfortable, with plenty of compassion and hugs. The medical care received was first class, with the experienced staff aware of any signs that would warrant a doctor or hospital. She eventually became happier with her stay in Pingley realising it was the best for her and her family. The end-of-life care was 11/10 with constant round-the-clock care. I have no complaints.
My mum was a resident from May 2022 until she passed away on Monday evening the 16th of September 2024. I cannot fault the car she received especially at the end of her life from all the staff who were tender and loving, very gentle and professional and a great support to me at this very emotional and distressing time. I would recommend this care home to anyone looking for somewhere to take care of a loved one needing that extra help.
I have been very happy with the care my mother has received at Pingley Court Care Home. In particular, I feel the home excels in managing medical needs maintaining a safe and secure environment and maintaining good standards of cleanliness and decoration. Much more important though are the staff who are just exceptional, beyond anything I could have hoped for. They are patient, kind, generous and endlessly good-humoured. They truly care for the residents in the way you would want a loved one to be cared for.
I cannot say enough good things about Pingley Court. The staff are fantastic and I know my mother is taken very good care of. There is so much kindness and patience. Lots of events and activities as well as pampering for the residents.
My Mum has now been at Pingley Court Care Home for 8 months and I can't speak highly enough of the care, respect and kindness that she has received. The staff work tirelessly to provide dignified and professional care for each and every resident while still being compassionate to their individuality. We are contacted if there are any medical issues and kept up to date with their progress which is very reassuring. Regular entertainment is organised throughout the year along with daily activities which residents are encouraged to take part in if they so wish. As the weather has begun to improve they have been outside gardening and visiting local cafes and bar's to enjoy a coffee or something a little stronger. I would not hesitate and have recently recommended Pingley to a friend for his mother's care. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff for their very hard work and dedication to their residents. Many thanks.
I thank the staff at Pingley Court for their genuine care for my husband and me! They are friendly, hardworking and genuinely care for the residents. The manageress has been friendly, reassuring and thoughtful from day one. I would recommend the home to anyone who has a need for care for their loved one.
We visited my Grandma this weekend and the team at Pingley Court could not have been any nicer. The Senior Carer really looked after us all and gave us the opportunity to spend some quality time together. She understood our concerns regarding our young daughter being with us and any potential inflammatory situations with my grandma and she kept an eye on us to ensure all was well. We were also allowed to bring in our small dog, which my grandma adored. Thank you so much for the care you give our loved ones, and the support and updates you provide to family members. You are all fab!
I'm very happy we picked this care home for my mum. All the staff are fabulous, so caring and helpful in every way. The management is very professional and friendly and always willing to help in every way.
Living in another country can be very difficult but the care home always allow me to have extra visits when I'm in Sheffield. The staff are very helpful and caring. My mum seems to have now settled in well. I feel I made the right choice.
I am more than happy with the level of care my mum and dad receive in the care home. The management team and all supporting staff are outstanding. The care home itself is very clean, as are the resident's rooms. Lots of activities going on. Overall very good.
Lovely, welcoming care home that puts the excellent care of residents and their families first. Always something happening. Residents are kept busy and encouraged to join in. Don't leave residents in front of the TV all day. Always encourage residents to move around and exercise, not just sit in a chair. Plenty of lovely food.
Carers amazing home good but visiting rules very confusing. Rules seem to vary from week to week despite restrictions lifting Trying to get consistent visits is difficult and confusing and does not help with dementia residents deteriorating from lack of family support and visual recognition It’s been a difficult two years
My experience of Care Homes in the past is one of absolute dismay and sadness. However, since mum sadly required 24 hour Care and Pingley Court took over that Care my fears have been allayed. Mum has been accepted, helped, cared for and respected in every way. The staff go above and beyond ensuring everyone is comfortable, happy and busy doing something creational. Mum does not always join in, she is encouraged but never forced to anything she doesn't want to do. I have eaten with mum, a beautiful home cooked meal by the chef, had afternoon tea and just a cuppa. Nothing is too much trouble. The home is clean, sanitised and fresh. Residents are protected from viruses where necessary and Pingley Court have gone above and beyond during the Covid 19 pandemic keeping relatives in the loop regarding lockdowns and visits. I rest at night knowing mum is well cared for and respected in her own right as are the rest of the residents.
The home seems to be very well run and the staff are very kind and obliging. There seems to be a lot of activities going on and residents are encouraged to join in. The home itself is very welcoming and nicely decorated. My friend has settled quite well there.
It was a difficult time for all of us accepting mum could no longer manage on her own in her home, following another hospital admission we decided to look for some care for her on discharge. From my first contact with the manager at Pingley Court, I could not be happier with the efficiency and care of this wonderful team. My lovely mum is incredibly independent but slowly she has settled in and made lovely relationships with all the team and the other residents. When possible mum gets to go out to a local garden centre or coffee shop and she loves to sit out on the patio. There are lots of activities and a little salon for hair and nails, she loves her Friday blow dry. Visiting is easy to arrange, the safety of the residents is paramount, and testing and PPE are all in place. My brother and I take mum out and we can visit her either in the room or in the pod. Pingley is clearly a well-run ship and the care staff are second to none. Thank you for looking after our precious mum.
Staff always very helpful, always so kind, and their smiles and laughter light up the room. The facility is always clean and smells nice; they also make a good cup of tea.
My brother went into care on the 21st December 2020. Since then, I have only been to his room once. When I visit, it is to a pod. What I have seen at the home is good. The staff are friendly, and I am hoping he will be taken out on trips to stimulate him. Some ratings I could not give an answer to. My brother is self-funding and does not know if it is value for money or not.
My dear mum has been a resident at Pingley Court Care Home for some time. She is quite a formidable character and isn't always happy to be helped and receive care. The staff there have created a wonderful relationship with her, using their warmth and good humour to get around most of the difficulties she presents. Undoubtedly the pandemic has presented its challenges as well and again the commitment to good care of the residents has remained unwaning. Everything that could be done to keep everyone safe has been done to the highest degree. There are always lots of fun activities to participate in and this is encouraged where appropriate. My sister and I travel some miles to visit our mum and this is always taken into consideration by the staff when we are able to visit. We are always warmly welcomed and we are also very well looked after. Visits can be emotional and very difficult and the staff recognise this and are always very kind and amenable. A huge thank you to you all.
