I liked the fact that there was no smell as you walked in. Very clean. I found staff some were better than others, also a bit of a language barrier. Over three months we did built up a rapport with them and I must say at all times they were very kind and respectful to my husband.

Mum was at Quarry House for all of March and some of April for respite care. Quarry House was fantastic! Had one issue in first week but spoke to staff and it was rectified straight away. The level of care from the cleaning team to the kitchen team to the carers to the nurses was incredible. They made Mum feel so welcome and they made the rest of the family feel welcome every time we visited! There were a few exemplary team members there who treated my mum like she was their own mum. I’m not allowed to use names on here, but they will know who they are. An example of how switched on they are was when a fantastic nurse spotted my mum's leg was slightly swollen and hot. Within a day Mum was sent for a scan to show there was a blood clot. Medication was sorted straight away and everything on the mend. Fantastic attention to detail! Mum, myself and brother was gutted that Mum had to leave for another, permanent home, and we would have stayed if we could have afforded it. Highly recommend Quarry House!

What a wonderful place. You can feel the warm welcome and care as soon as you arrive. Dad has dementia, but has been treated with dignity and respect and involved in his care since day one. Everyone has made every effort to get to know him, his likes and dislikes and to make him as comfortable and content as possible. Dad likes people around him, so the carers and activities ladies have encouraged, supported and involved him with all the daily activities (quizzes, games, animal visits, entertainment, film shows, gentle exercise) and also visits to interesting places in their minibus. The carers will sit and talk, read or look at his photo albums to keep him engaged. Everyone who works there will speak to the residents by name as they pass. The rooms are bright, airy, clean and spacious. The management are fully approachable and open to suggestions and visitors are always made welcome with their open-door policy. We are so glad we found Quarry House and fully recommend it to others.

From the moment Mum was brought under your care we were impressed, we had previous care home experience with another care home group. The attention to detail was evident when we brought in clothes, and you took them away to mark and hang in wardrobe. Room was decorated beautifully, big picture windows with natural light, great purpose for needs bathroom - homely. The staff were fantastic and said we could visit at any time - and they were welcoming - every aspect of Mum's health was attended to. She never wanted to go back to hospital - her final resting place and felt like her home - ocean - grateful forever.

My relative came to Quarry House in February 2021, first to Garden floor and when his health deteriorated to Sky. The care he received on both floors was exemplary and he was shown respect and kindness by all members of staff.

We looked at a few care homes but this one certainly stood out to us. From the guided tour to the assessment then admittance, the staff could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Quarry House has such a homely feel to it. The staff go above and beyond to make sure the residents feel well looked after. They take great care to find out their likes and dislikes. There are lots of activities/day trips if the residents choose to participate. When visiting you are always made to feel welcome. Quarry House is highly recommended.

Meadow Floor gave fantastic support for my dad and ourselves so caring on all levels. Always on hand for anything besides caring for my dad. They always made sure we were okay we just could not fault his care. Will always be grateful to all the staff for making the time dad has left a pleasant one.

My mother was admitted from hospital to Quarry House in March 2023. We had visited a few homes, earlier in the year and liked the bright airy feel of Quarry House and the friendly staff. My mum seemed to settle well and whilst she was there, she needed a high level of care and the staff were very attentive to her needs. The nursing staff kept in touch, with how things were going and I felt fully informed about any changes or worries. Staff were particularly thoughtful, in my mum's final days and ensured that her family were able to spend time with her and enabled me to spend the night with her, in her final hours. I was also able to witness the respectful way they treated my mum after she had passed. I would certainly recommend Quarry House, if you are looking for somewhere, where your loved one, can be looked after and receive a high level of care.

We chose Quarry House because they had a Specialist Dementia Unit which our family needed badly to take care of Dad. They were kind, caring and compassionate from the start. Dad could not stay at home due to extremely challenging behaviour at times so after quite a search, Quarry House helped him and us. Sadly Dad passed away so could not return after a stint in hospital. I would recommend Quarry House to everyone as they did Dad proud. Thank you so much.

We looked at several homes before visiting Quarry House Care Home. We immediately felt this was the right place for our sister. We were greeted by friendly staff and the whole place seemed bright, welcoming and homely. She has been a resident since February and has settled in well. The staff are caring and do their best to make her happy. Nursing care has been excellent and we have been kept informed at all stages. We have already recommended the home to other people.

The staff are helpful, friendly and accommodating. They check on Mum frequently and do their best to meet her needs.

My friend with dementia is contented to be living at Quarry House. The staff have got to know her, her likes and dislikes, and are kind and respectful. They encourage her to join in the activities that she enjoys. The nurses are alert to her medical needs. Her general health and well-being have improved in the year since she came to live here.

Quarry House Care Home is an outstanding care provider who has cared for both of my grandparents. Both of my grandparents have enjoyed their time at Quarry House and all of the staff have been very supportive of them and us as a family. My mother entered Quarry House Care Home for palliative care and she has been so incredibly well looked after. I don't believe staff could do more. The rooms are light, bright and cheerful. The nursing staff are so very kind, thoughtful and nothing is too much trouble. Most importantly, my mum feels safe and comfortable.

Quarry House is one of the best nursing homes I have been in. I was a care assistant for many years. The care and food is excellent and the family is looked after as they are going through a very difficult time, my family could not wish for better care for my husband's end of life. Thank you.

Our family were pleased and grateful for the excellent care and friendliness of all the staff in this home. Although Mum only had eight weeks in her new home, she was happy, safe and her family could visit when they wanted to. A huge thank you to all the caring staff for the care and support you gave my husband and family. The team made this challenging and sad time much more bearable knowing he was always cared for and in safe hands with the team was comfort. A caring, well run and nurturing environment. Stimulating activity programme and good involvement of relatives. It was a difficult decision to move Mum into care but Quarry House provided a safe, caring and comfortable life in her final years and fully justified its choice.

Quarry House is an excellent provider of health and social care and the staff went out of their way to make sure our mother lived with dignity. The home is clean, airy and fresh. The rooms are spacious and are all en-suite, ensuring privacy. The staff were friendly, including management who were also accessible. There was a wide variety of food and lots of different activities, including trips to the countryside and the seaside. The staff were diverse, which meant they were culturally sensitive and attentive to our mother's needs. This was a home from home and we are confident that our mother got the care that she needed. The grounds are very beautiful and as a family, we were always encouraged and welcomed at Quarry House. Highly recommend.

My mum has been at Quarry House for a year and it has been a difficult year due to covid restrictions, but we have been kept up to date on things going on within the home. Mum seems very happy and kept clean and looking well, each time I visit. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The receptionist is brilliant.
