View Full Details of Red Court Care CommunityMy mother joined the Red Court Community just before Christmas 2024. The welcome and friendliness of the team in those hectic few days was overwhelming and she was made to feel welcome straight away....... the genuine smiles and care shone through. Really, nothing is too much trouble, if I telephone or call in, the help is there, and my questions are handled with patience. The meals and activities are enjoyed, and I have witnessed the compassion and kindly humour shown to residents by the staff. Mother is happy, and is having the best care that we could have wished for.....thank you Red Court.
I have found all the staff very friendly and helpful.
Possibly not the plushest care/nursing home compared with some, but the care and dedication shown towards my father was excellent from the very beginning of his stay there. He needed quite intensive nursing, and I cannot fault the nursing staff one bit - they were awesome. I was kept informed of any new developments with his care, and my wishes towards the end of his life were met. The caring and housekeeping staff were all very kind, compassionate and patient towards my Father and very friendly towards me. I want to thank them all - I shall certainly miss them now that my Dad has passed away.
Whilst my mother has been in Redcourt Nursing Home, she has been looked after very well. The staff are accommodating to her needs and are kind and compassionate. She enjoys the food and she is always dressed nicely with her own freshly laundered clothes. The reception staff have been very helpful in aiding me with the financial side of arranging for my mother's care since she has obtained a permanent place. I am glad that she is so near to where I live, so visiting at most times of the day is easy. The home is always clean and tidy and the other residents we see appear to be equally fine.
Mum was initially admitted for respite care. We had no choice where she was placed it just happened Red Court could take her. I am so pleased they could. She had a lovely room with an en suite toilet. Mum's stay turned into long-term care and she was treated with love and compassion each and every day of her residence. All the staff from the management and carers to the cleaners and caterers and everyone in between were so kind and attentive to both Mum and her visitors. There were a few teething problems getting Mum settled but these were quickly and professionally dealt with. Mum's time in the home was quite short, sadly she passed away in September. Although she was 99 it was still unexpected and sudden. The staff during those last few days in particular were all wonderful. I am very grateful to all of them for the care they showed Mum and their consideration towards me throughout. They made a very difficult time more bearable. Thank you all very much.
I would like to leave a very positive review for Red Court. This has been a stressful time which only relatives with members of one’s family will understand. My husband went into Red Court initially for respite care. It has now become his home as his problems became unmanageable by one person. I cannot say a big enough thank you to all the team for guiding me through my monumental emotional decisions which have to be addressed, whilst caring for his needs with kindness and patience. That extends to all the staff, from the cheerful cleaning teams, the caterers, the day to day carers and nursing teams. A very big thank you.
Individual members at Red Court were very supportive to myself and daughter during my mother's end of life journey. They provided undivided attention to my Mum attending every 30 minutes. We were provided with food and drink whilst we made Mum comfortable. The home had a visit from the vicar who provided prayers, she spent time with my mother which made the experience memorable. We have a lot to thank Red Court for during my mother’s residency with much-improved communication. Mum loved doing the activities offered in the home and this brought much enjoyment to her life. Singing, dominoes, holy communion and bingo to name a few were all carried out by the excellent activities coordinator. The hairdressing facility was excellent which was important to my mum and the small things amounted to bigger things. With that being said, it’s difficult to maintain a high standard of care when some carers don’t work to the same level as others which reflects the 4-star rating.
My mum has been a resident in Red Court for 4 months and has been in other nursing homes. Red Court is a lovely place, my mum and I love it. Always warm welcome, Mum has activities all morning every day and loves it. There is always a good choice of food for breakfast dinner and tea. Coffee and tea or cold drinks are always on the go not just for the residents either, visitors too. Hairdressers on-site, Mum has her hair done every week. Staff are amazing, friendly and always there to help and have a laugh too. I am so pleased to have Mum here she has settled here very well.
My mum was a resident for two months after being in hospital. The difference in her in these two months is immense. The care and compassion that she received was brilliant. She was able to bring in personal items and make her room more familiar. Every door is a different colour which makes it seem less like a care home. Unfortunately the garden wasn't open for residents to use which would have been really good. She was very well looked after and slowly began to interact more which meant that she was able to go to the dining room for food and also to the activity room which has different activities on weekday mornings. She has made friends and even though she cannot wait to go back home she will miss the camaraderie of the staff and the residents. The staff are the backbone of the home and even in times of stress and heavy workloads there was always help and kindness.
Management and staff have all been supportive, caring and professional at all times. The staff show care and compassion when attending to residents. As a family, we are made to feel very welcome when we come to visit. We are also kept informed of any changes. We like that each door is painted like an actual front door, younger members of the family identify them as their loved ones' personal home. It's also lovely that there are display boxes outside each resident's room to fill with items I.e photos, pictures, poems etc. Residents are encouraged to bring items to personalise their room to help make it feel more homely. The Home and resident's rooms are decorated to a good standard. Everywhere is clean and tidy but it also has a lovely air about it.
When my dad first went to the care home I wasn't confident that all his needs would be met. Quite a bumpy start, missing glasses and hearing aids, we couldn't all visit due to COVID, then he fell and broke his hip, very distressing for our family. Since his return to the Red Court - wow - I have witnessed them all give 100%, Dad looks very content, he smiles and waves at the staff. To leave Dad after a visit knowing he is part of the Red Court family and is being looked after is priceless. The staff are very approachable and work so hard.
My grandad first started accessing respite in Red Court following a deterioration in his dementia. I can't lie and say things went smoothly to start with. We had a little bump in the road. However, with the compassion and dedication of the manager, we worked together to give him the best experience in their care. They continuously keep the family up to date and involved and since being with them he has never looked so well. He is eating well and gaining weight. He is also encouraged to socialise with others. I feel completely content at the fact my grandad is in Red Court.
The care and attention my brother received in his last few days and weeks were exemplary, as it had been since he went into Red Court. Not only that, the compassion shown to his family was of the highest level.
Both my parents are residents of Red Court and we, as a family, are so happy that they are safe and looked after. Dad hasn't looked as healthy for years, despite his mobility issues. Mum loves the attention she gets from the lovely staff.
Excellent home my husband is very settled and the staff and friendly and very caring. The staff keep the place lovely for all the residents a warm and homely atmosphere. Lots of activities for all to take part very happy with this home.
Lovely caring home for my husband who I can no longer look after. He is happy and settled. Been very difficult with his health issues but they are outstanding. The staff are friendly and very caring Could not wish for a better place for my husband.
I am very impressed with my dad's care so far. He has only been a resident since February but it is clear he is being looked after very well. The manager and deputy managers are supportive, friendly and professional. The carers are lovely and work very hard during difficult times. Any needs or requests we have asked for have been met. I feel dad is in a safe, warm and caring environment and I am reassured he is looked after well. I must mention the nurses, cooks, cleaners, laundry and activities staff. They all do an amazing job. Credit where credit is due. This is the best home any of my family has been in, by far the cleanest and by far the best care. Thank you Red Court Care Community.
Management and staff are friendly and approachable. My mum is suffering from dementia and is unable to tell me how she is being cared for or have any personal views on her likes and dislikes. She seems however to be happy and content. The home gets the residents involved in special days celebrating such things as the Olympics and Burns Night. They keep e informed with a monthly newsletter.
Red Court is well run, staff lovely, any concerns are always dealt with. Would highly recommend it to anybody. Such a lovely place to visit family members.
We are very impressed with Red Court and all of the staff. They are very caring compared to a previous care home. The home is very clean and well maintained. It's situated in a good area where I am sure everyone feels at 'home'. Newsletters are regular and give residents' families an understanding of what goes on, activities etc. Mom seems very happy in Red Court. Unlike her previous home where she constantly complained about her treatment. This in itself gives us great peace of mind. Thank you Red Court. So grateful.
