View Full Details of Rosewood ManorBeautifully presented home with kind, hardworking care assistants, catering team and premises staff. If your loved one requires companionship and minimal support, I'm sure they would be extremely happy with the facilities and activities on offer. However, if they require reassurance and assistance with personal care, mobility, nutrition, etc., then this isn't the home for them. Residents on the Sandringham floor (dementia care) are frequently left unsupervised and confused, with no staff available to help and reassure them. The overstretched care assistants work extremely hard and are amazing, but understaffing and no support from senior management mean they are unable to meet the needs of all residents. A positive needs assessment isn't a guarantee that care needs can be met as resources and training are inadequate. Please do not be dazzled by the show home presentation of this home. Please think very carefully before considering Rosewood Manor for the care of your loved one.
My friend has been a resident at Rosewood Manor for just over a year now. I am not able myself to visit very often but when I do the staff are extremely friendly, helpful and professional. The home's cleanliness is immaculate and very welcoming. During the times I am unable to visit, I will telephone the home where the staff are polite and courteous and allow me to speak with my friend. I would recommend Rosewood Manor to all who are looking to find a care home for their loved ones where they know that they are safe and well cared for.
My mother has been resident at Rosewood Manor since February 2024, and has enjoyed every aspect of life at the home. Her room is comfortable and private, the facilities are excellent. The social care team organises lively and enriching activities every day of the week: my mum has enjoyed seated exercises, outdoor games, visits from local schoolkids, crafts, walks around the town, even an encounter with donkeys one day! The core carer team are all very friendly and empathetic, yet quietly professional and competent with their care tasks; some of these can be intimate and potentially embarrassing for Mum, but the team handle it all with great calm, forthrightness, and dignity. The nursing team are very impressive, actively monitoring the progress of symptoms both physical and mental, and take proactive action when an intervention is needed such as an adjustment to medications. I've seen them in calm times and while handling a crisis, and I've been impressed every time. Highly recommend!
My husband spent two periods in Rosewood Manor; three months for respite care and later, he was there for a year until he died. I was very glad he was able to return there. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, and the rooms are comfortable and well equipped. Staff are very approachable and know the residents as individuals, always treating them with care and dignity. They have good links with the nearby doctor's surgery, which was very helpful. There is a full and varied programme of activities, organised by an activities team who encourage residents to participate. Visiting wasn’t limited and I spent most afternoons with my husband, which gave us precious time together. During his stay, the support that staff gave both of us, especially at the end of his life, was amazing. I couldn’t have gotten through such a difficult time without their help and I can’t speak highly enough of the staff and the care they gave to us both.
When looking at care homes this home stood out by far from the other homes in the local area we had viewed. From the initial enquiry till the very end of my grandmother passing everyone was very welcoming and extremely supportive to my family and I. Communication is great, staff go above and beyond and the manager and her team are brilliant and always make us feel welcomed and that we are no bother if we have any questions. I can't thank them all enough, they are all fabulous and will be forever grateful to them all.
I've visited my friend that recently moved into Rosewood Manor for some very much-needed respite care, I am in awe of the carers and how they go above and beyond to help. The food is amazing as well, what more could one want! I highly recommend Rosewood Manor.
My Father sadly passed away after living in Rosewood Manor for the last twenty months. He was very happy there, he loved the food and all the staff were incredibly kind to him. As a family, we visited regularly and were always very impressed and comforted to know he was in such a caring environment. He wasn't one for joining in activities, we did however witness lots of the residents doing a multitude of interesting things. During his final few weeks the staff were so compassionate and caring both to Dad and also to our family. I honestly don't know what we would have done without them. We will miss seeing them ourselves. I can't recommend it highly enough.
All the staff have nothing but my grateful thanks for looking after our dad for all the time he was a resident here. Dad was always treated with respect and dignity and especially so on the day he passed away.
The standard of care shown by the managers and staff at Rosewood during my mum's stay was excellent. From the initial assessment meeting, until her passing, they were friendly, professional and caring towards all her needs. They helped her join in the home's activities and get to know the other residents with whom she established good friendships. The family are pleased that we chose Rosewood for our mum's final days, thank you.
It is hard to express just how grateful we are to the staff at Rosewood on all levels for the dignity and care provided to our dear mum until her passing at the end of October. While the food, room, facilities and entertainment are all excellent, it is the genuine interest in the well-being of the residents that stands out. It is very comforting to know that throughout mum's stay, she was in the best of hands and well taken care of. As others have stated, a simple thank you does not seem enough. It is a wonderful care home with lovely staff and as a family, we cannot recommend the home highly enough.
Visited a family member the other day and was greeted with a warm welcome by the manager, very friendly and approachable. Any question I asked the manager regarding my relative's health was answered straight away and seemed very knowledgeable and helped settle any worry myself and family had. I walked away that afternoon feeling time was taken to get to know my relative, which is also very nice to see from staff and management.
My mother came to Rosewood Manor as she could no longer cope on her own. The building is newly renovated and designed to a very high standard. The rooms are spacious and the communal areas are lovely. The staff were all very kind and the food was excellent. I could not recommend it highly enough. Sadly my mother passed away but the staff dealt with the situation very sensitively. Thank you, Rosewood team for being so kind to my mother in her final days.
Rosewood is a very new and modern care home. The rooms are very nice and the housekeeping is good. The food is satisfactory all be it a little repetitive. The care given is generally of a good standard although as with most care homes they would benefit from a few more members of staff at times. Overall the staff are very friendly and are dedicated some more than others. The overall care given to my father was good with a good rapport and plenty of humour. I would say better communication between some staff is required. All in all, we were happy with the care and comfort provided. Thank you to all at Rosewood.
The home, its staff and the care provided were exceptional. Mum was in a caring and well-supported environment. It was a great comfort knowing that she was safe and being well looked after. When Mum's health deteriorated and when she was end-of-life, the great care and support she received then extend to the family and me. The home ensured I was able to stay with her until she passed and provided me with the support and care I needed. I would highly recommend the home to anyone looking for a safe, secure and well-supportive environment for a family member.
Dad move to Rosewood in Oct 21, where he was made to feel at home instantly. The team at Rosewood found time to get to know him, his likes and dislikes. They supported him with great care and dignity. We can not praise them enough. Dad faced huge challenges towards the end of his life, and the management team supported the immediate family with sensible and pragmatic decisions. The care team and support services stepped up again, demonstrating sensitivity and kindness to the end. Thank you all.
My stepmother stayed at Rosewood Manor from February to May 2022. She died after a short spell in hospital in May 2022. Her room, including shower room and toilet, was lovely and kept clean to a very high standard. All of the staff were brilliant and very warm, caring and helpful. All had a very positive manner and I found communicating with staff was very easy, even through difficult covid times. The communal areas had a very nice feel, were spacious, yet homely and comfortable and care was taken to put on relevant activities for the residents. Overall, compared to other care homes that I visited, Rosewood Manor combined the homeliness of an actual home with the high-quality environment of a hotel. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
My friend, whom I had LPA for, stayed at Rosewood manor from May 2021 to March 2022 when he died. He received a good quality of care with efforts to integrate him into the activities at the home. The accommodation was very satisfactory generally and the staff very pleasant. My friend was a foundation member - that is he moved in soon after the opening of the home. During this period there was an apparent rapid change over of staff. I imagine the situation is much better now. Finally Rosewood Manor made especial effort to locate a home for Zoe the parrot which was very much appreciated by my friend and myself.
My dad was a resident at Rosewood Manor for six months, where the care and attention from the staff couldn't have been any better. So many lovely, caring people work there, making my father's time so special. The standards at Rosewood went above and beyond, and knowing how well he was regarded and looked after made a huge difference to our family and friends. Right up until the end he couldn't have been in a better place, constant care and genuine compassion from all the staff made the final days more bearable. For anyone looking for the perfect place for a loved one, I couldn't recommend Rosewood Manor highly enough, such a lovely care home, filled with the most amazing staff. Thank you from all our family.
My mum was only in Rosewood Manor for a very short time but the care she received was second to none. She was always treated with dignity and respect. During her final days, the staff went above and beyond to ensure that she was comfortable also supporting myself and my sister through a difficult time. We will always be so grateful for everything the home did for my mum. Thank you doesn't seem enough.
My mum was a resident of Rosewood Manor for a few months. I can't recommend this care home highly enough. The care my mum has received has been second to none. Both my parents have had experience in various other highly rated care homes, but Rosewood Manor is by far the best. The care my mum has received, whilst being at Rosewood Manor has been exceptional. My only wish is that she'd been able to enjoy all the facilities on offer. But due to her fragility, she was unable to. But the staff made sure to comfort and chat with my mum and make her life a little easier. I was lucky enough to be able to visit my mum daily with the usual daily lateral flow tests given at the home and this provided a great deal of comfort to myself and my mum. Added to this, Rosewood Manor is stunning. More like a 5-star hotel! Nothing is too much trouble at Rosewood Manor, the team feel like an extended family, which is surely how a care home should be!
