View Full Details of Savernake View Care HomeMy mother has settled in well, the staff have been very welcoming to both my mother and myself during move. The care has been friendly and professional. There are many and varied activities for residents, provided by a very caring and fun team. The catering team are amazing, wonderful food delivered with pride and more friendly faces. It is a happy place.
Very happy with the care my mum and dad are receiving. The move into Savernake has been very smooth and they have both adjusted well to the change. The staff are very attentive and the atmosphere in the home is very friendly and welcoming every time I visit. Thank you.
Friendly reception and nurses. Good atmosphere. Mum is now bed-bound so no activities. Needs help for all her care needs, and nurses seem caring and helpful. She is sometimes critical of her nurses, but I'm afraid that is probably because she now has no ability to help herself, which must be difficult for her. Thank you for her care.
The improvement in both physical and mental health since they moved in is amazing. They are now bright, breezy and interested in life again. Everyone we have come across has been so helpful and genuinely supportive and caring.
My mum has been at Savernake for almost 3 years. She has received the best care for her dementia. The staff are caring, friendly and understanding of her needs. The whole team, from reception to the carers and catering team, are always welcoming with a smile and time to chat about how mum is. My dad was also at Savernake before he passed following a period of illness. The staff could not have been more supportive at a difficult time.
My mother has settled in well to the care home and I feel extremely confident in the level of care that she receives. She has a new lease of life and has transformed from someone who literally sat around all day in her pants to someone who is dressed, clean and interested in the world around her. She is taking pride in her appearance and is enjoying joining in some of the activities now. Personally I believe this has been the best move for her and having experienced another care home this one is far superior in every way. Most importantly the staff are kind and caring and make sure she is comfortable putting her needs as priority. The staff have taken on board all our concerns about my mother and have actioned anything we know about her character and how best to encourage her to enjoy these latter years ahead. We are all enjoying watching her bloom again so thank you so much.
My mother-in-law has been a resident at Savernake View Care Home for almost 18 months, the staff are very welcoming and friendly to both myself and my dog and we are welcomed with unrestricted visiting times. She has a lovely room with a little patio area of her own so it feels very homelike. The food smells delicious with a 3-course lunch which she can select from the daily menu and if she doesn't fancy anything on the menu they are happy to make an omelette or something instead. They have tried extremely hard to find activities that interest her and we have made use of the very comfortable cinema. The orangery has activities going on every day with cakes and drinks available for guests as well as residents. Having her nails and hair done is a real boost. She receives excellent care from all the staff who are easy to approach and readily available to answer any concerns.
My husband is a resident of the care home. As a family we are very happy with the care he receives. His needs are met with kindness and dignity. As a family we are welcomed by friendly staff on all levels. We are informed of events and any changes that he might need. Each time I leave him I know he is in good hands.
My mother originally came in for respite care as there were delays in purchasing her new home which nearer myself. She was there for 6 weeks and always was happy and engaged. On moving her to her new home she struggled with the change of environment and ultimately it was her decision to return to Savernake View Care home as she felt happier, safer and more engaged then living with a live in carer. It is a very hard decision to move a loved one into a care home as it does come with some preconceived ideas. I and all her family, though have been delighted with everything Savernake View offers to its residents and tailors it's care to the specific needs whether physical or mental. The home has a wonderful feel and the staff are all kind, helpful and caring and the facilities, activities and the wonderful choice of food make each day feel unique and different.
My father has had the care we hoped he would have when we were looking for loving, friendly care in a homely atmosphere. We have had a couple of issues that have always been dealt with immediately and resolved with the greatest of care. I leave my visits feeling relaxed for my father and myself. I always recommend the service to anyone looking for care for their loved ones.
Savernake View Care Home has been absolutely wonderful for both Mum and Dad. The staff are incredibly supportive, always going above and beyond to ensure they're comfortable and happy. The activities are engaging and well-organised, the food is of high quality and it's heartwarming to see how lovely the residents are. The home itself is beautiful, particularly the inviting Orangery, creating such a warm and welcoming environment. We couldn't be more pleased.
I am absolutely thrilled with the care my parents receive at Savernake View Care Home. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming and genuinely invested in ensuring a smooth transition. The atmosphere is always bright and inviting, with a real sense of community among residents and staff. The caregivers are incredibly compassionate, treating each resident with dignity, respect and kindness. The facility itself is impeccably clean and well-maintained, offering a range of activities tailored to the interests and abilities of the residents. There is a perfect balance between social opportunities and quiet spaces, ensuring that everyone's needs are met. What really sets Savernake View apart is the personalized approach to care. The staff take the time to get to know each resident individually, providing support that feels both professional and heartfelt. Communication is seamless and I always feel informed and involved in my loved one's care plan.
Dad has been at Savernake View Care Home for over 18 months where he receives diligent care, with patience and understanding. The medical support is also well managed and professional. My father does not walk so they provide modern equipment to move him around the room with access to a wheelchair when necessary. The home is jam packed with activities which adds a great atmosphere when residents get together almost everyday but there is no pressure to take part particularly as my father prefers mainly to stay in his room. Staff initiate dad's haircut and other personal services, keeping a close eye on his needs. The food is special, providing 3 course meals at lunch and dinner with options, from a professional in house kitchen. Dad is never hungry and visitors are spoilt with a range of homemade cakes. The management, who are easily accessible, have responded quickly to any issues or requests and try hard to make the experience pleasant as dad is a reluctant but pragmatic resident.
My wife has now been in Savernake View in Marlborough for 4 months. We looked at several homes and Savernake View stood out head and shoulders above the others, so this was the one we chose and we were certainly glad we made the choice! The staff are excellent - caring and friendly, treating the residents with dignity and respect. There are lots of activities to get involved with and trips out in the mini-bus which all enjoy. The residents are encouraged to be with the others as much as possible, so they make friends and enjoy each others' stories! And then there's the meals! All delicious and individual tastes are catered for as much as possible. Plenty of hot and cold drinks and home-made cakes throughout the day, all help to make this truly a home-from-home! All in all, a real blessing for my wife, and it's lovely to know she is in good hands! So, well done, Savernake View - onwards and upwards!
Savernake View Care Home is an excellent care home. The home is very well led. The staff are well trained and unfailingly friendly, providing empathetic and professional care. The food is varied and appetising. There is a diverse range of activities for residents every morning and afternoon. Family members are made to feel most welcome, with unrestricted visiting hours and excellent communication as care needs evolve and change.
After one visit we moved both my parents into Savernake Care Home in September 24. The Deputy Manager also came for a home visit to meet my parents, put them at ease, and understand their needs prior to their move which went very well. My expectations have been exceeded on every level. All the staff are warm, welcoming, super helpful, and very kind. The facilities are clean and attractive and the various sitting areas/rooms are really enjoyed by them, with my mum really enjoying their library. There are so many activities and so much going on and the food choices are amazing. Any queries I have with either the management or nursing staff are dealt with quickly and kindly. My brother and I are so pleased they made the move.
One of the best care homes I used, with 5-star food, and really good staff. Can't say I like being away from home but it was very good.
Since my Mum has been at Savernake Care Home, she has received excellent care. The care staff are always very friendly and respond to requests very promptly. The admin and management side are always very pleasant and respond to telephone calls and requests very quickly too. My Mum's needs have been well accommodated and I have been very impressed with the care overall. My Mum also seems to be happy there and enjoys her visits from the PAT dogs.
I am delighted my mother has joined Savernake View Care Home. She has dementia and can no longer manage at home. The staff are simply amazing so gentle and kind but full of fun not only to Mum but also to her family. It's a difficult decision to make to give care of a parent to someone else but I've found everyone I've spoken to had time to listen and be supportive of a wonderful team. The range of activities and outings is great I can hardly keep up! Finally not to mention the wonderful catering crew just delicious! Many thanks to all.
Mum is happy. This is our top priority. She says the carers are lovely. The staff are caring, responsive, and understanding to residents and their families. The home provides a range of activities. There is always something going on to interest Mum.
