View Full Details of Saxon Manor Care Home - Avery CollectionThis is indeed a fine home. From the moment I enquired about respite for my husband whilst I took an break visiting our son and family in USA, nothing was too much trouble .The reception staff were able to show me around when I turned up unannounced (always a good sign!). The admin was clear and made easy to navigate (I had MANY questions), and without exception ALL staff gave a friendly greeting! My husband was very well cared for whilst I was away, as was reported to me by visitors. When I returned to collect him he was clean and tidy and said he had enjoyed his stay and in particular the food! Staff were able to give me an update as to how he had been. I will have no hesitation in recommending this home and hope to use their services again. Many thanks to you all.
Every member of Saxon Manor gets a reward of excellence whether it's care staff, admin, housekeeping, kitchen staff, etc. My relative was treated with the utmost care and dignity by all staff although her time there was shorter than we had hoped.
Kindness and care is at the heart of Saxon Manor. Wonderful staff, beautiful and clean environment, a pleasure to visit a close relative. The care, comfort, and support is the highest level you can wish for.
My Mum had 3 respite opportunities before she decided that she needed more care than was available in her own home and Saxon Manor was definitely going to be the place. Having been able to visit her from New Zealand in her first weeks there, I am so delighted that with our encouragement, she chose Saxon Manor. Management runs a really tight ship, and the care staff do genuinely care about all of the residents. Everyone is encouraged to participate in activities but also plenty of opportunities for quiet time if that is what is wanted. What impressed me most, is nothing is a problem, and family members are looked after and get the answers that they want to any questions or concerns. Like many, I had a preconceived idea of what life would be like in a care home, but Saxon Manor goes way beyond my expectations. Well done team- My Mum is happier now and loves all of the activities and is a regular at the cinema. Knowing Mum is happy gives me incredible peace of mind.
My husband, who has dementia, spent two weeks at Saxon Manor Care Home while I had a break with our grandchildren, who he finds rather boisterous. I cannot praise the care he received enough. The staff who are the most important part of any care home are friendly, attentive and professional. I will use the facility again for respite and can readily recommend it to anyone looking for care for a loved one.
Mum spent the last 4 months of her life under the care of Saxon Manor Care Home. The home is beautifully decorated & spotlessly clean with the air of a 4-5 * hotel. I visited most days in lovely surroundings with a calm &a peaceful atmosphere. The gardens are well maintained offering a pleasant & tranquil area for visits (or even a Birthday party!). The family were always made to feel welcome any time we wanted to visit. All staff were kind, patient and caring and truly seemed concerned for Mum's well-being. The home was supportive and accommodating with family wishes regarding medical care. Overall we are pleased to have chosen Saxon Manor to support Mum and family through what is always a difficult time. The home certainly has the feel of staff & residents being one big family, I am pleased to have chosen Saxon Manor and would happily recommend it.
My wife's grandad had a wonderful stay at Saxon Manor Care Home, the home was spotless, meals had great variety and choice. We booked the fine dining experience and it was like eating in a 5-star restaurant. Lovely place with amazing staff.
I first became aware of Saxon Manor in 2023 during their open day. Although then not fully completed I was extremely impressed by everything that I saw there. At the time my brother had suffered several falls and hospitalisations and I doubted that he would be able to lead an independent life. He recovered for a while until the point where he required residential care. When this was agreed by social services, I looked at some care homes which I thought were not suitable for my brother. Then thank goodness I went back to Saxon Manor, I thought it would be unaffordable but not so. I was warmly greeted and shown around all the facilities which were even better than my first viewing. The layout and decor are very special. The staff are so friendly, efficient and obliging. With organised activities, a lovely garden, lounge area, library and cinema for residents to use. The food is excellent, the menu changes daily and is seasonally cooked by an on-site chef in a very well-fitted kitchen. My brother has settled in very quickly and is very happy. He and I would thoroughly recommend Saxon Manor as excellent in every respect.
I asked for the return of fees as my wife's contract was terminated by Saxon Manor due to not being able to supply ongoing care as required by the hospital. No return of fees was received and my phone and emails were blocked by both Saxon Manor and Avery (the owners). I was forced to take court action which resulted in the partial return of fees. I still could not contact Avery so I wrote to the CEO of Avery. All the remaining part of my claim was paid! They are not a good or even reasonable company to deal with. My advice is to use a company that honours what they pledge and puts the residents' interest ahead of their own!
After having a hip replacement in the hospital, I came to Saxon Manor for respite care. I immediately felt at home there and was most impressed by the high standard of the decor, room size and facilities. Although I have a small appetite, the quality of the meals tempted me to try most things. The staff were absolute sweethearts, responding to the call button quickly and with utmost care. I would certainly come there should it be necessary in future.
He was very happy with his care in the home. He enjoyed all conversations with the caring staff and felt valued and well looked after. He was comfortable in a well-equipped room and even had our opportunity to enjoy the garden when the weather improved.
Mum is being looked after extremely well and she looks 100% better since being in your care. We have visited whilst here in the UK including private dining. The staff are always polite, helpful and smiling. A pleasure to visit and see Mum happy.
My father-in-law is currently residing at Saxon Manor care home. The staff are always incredibly welcoming and put us at ease in a difficult situation. The home is always spotless and clean and residents looked very well cared for. We couldn’t be happier with our choice.
From the moment I contacted Saxon Manor to ask about respite care for my mother to the time we left after her two-week stay, we were treated with kindness and respect. Nothing was too much trouble, from reception/office staff to the caring staff, housekeeping and catering. My mum was looked after with care and kindness, and nothing was too much trouble for them. I hope she can return and would have no hesitation in recommending Saxon Manor.
We are very happy that Mum is at Saxon Manor. The organisation and transfer from hospital was excellent, and Mum appeared to settle in and feel comfortable instantly. Since then, on our visits, Mum always appears happy, well dressed and looked after. The staff have all been very helpful and friendly, and the building and facilities are excellent.
Saxon Manor is a new home with great thought put into the resident's experience. Staff very helpful.
My father moved into the home in October 2023. The staff and management are all very sociable and want what's best for my father. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is of high quality and cooked to a very high level. I have had dinner with my father, and it was superb. I highly recommend this care home to anyone looking to place your loved one into the care of Saxon Manor. The staff are very caring. Excellent service.
The carers, kitchen staff and the management team at Saxon Manor could not be more welcoming and nothing appears to be too much bother for them to accommodate. My mother was made to feel very special on her birthday and I have nothing but praise to all at the care home for making this a special day/weekend. Naturally, it was a tough time to have to find a care home for a parent who has been fiercely independent for all of their adult life however I am pleased to have chosen Saxon Manor to provide the care she now needs.
Dad is currently staying at Saxon Manor for 2 weeks respite with a view to living here. Dad is thriving here and loving it - he said that he is looking forward to living here. All of the staff have been wonderful, not just with Dad, but also with me. I am Dad's main carer and they are keeping me involved and informed. I feel that we are working together to ensure Dad's stay is successful and he settles well. Nothing is too much trouble. Everyone, no matter what their role is in the home, is friendly. Even when Dad and I initially visited with my 4 pages of questions (plus following up with more in several emails!) I wasn't made to feel that I was being a pain or a problem. Other family members who have visited Dad there, have fed back how happy they feel he is. Even though Dad may not be actually staying at Saxon Manor at the time, we have already been invited to attend one of their events in November. We are both so happy that we chose Saxon Manor for Dad's care.
